I'm sorry, Melee, but let's get back on topic before it escalates more than we want. lol!
Oysters on the half shell, I'm not generally fond of either, but fried sea oysters are another story! I can deal with those. Clam strips are awesome, too, as well as mussels, and scallops! Florida gets a lot of local fresh seafood, but it's expensive as sin because of it! We don't go out to eat very often anyway. Peppers, while not my favorite, are all right. I'll eat them on occasion. Banana peppers are more on the OK side. Spicy peppers, it all depends. The hottest I've ever tried was a pepper my uncle bought last year. I forgot what it was called, a Carolina Reaper? I'm shocked that he can eat spice like it's nothing! Meanwhile, one bite of that pepper and I threw in the towel. He made fun of me for a while after that, but one of these days, I'll get him back!

Again, I'm sorry for even asking, but I was curious. I do agree with everything that's been said, though! YUCK!
I'm a sucker for spicy food! The hottest I've tried was, like you, Carolina Reaper. When I was in Florida for a trip a couple years ago, I sampled a spicy sauce that took a while for me to cool my tongue after that. I bought scorpion pepper sauce from that same place, and since finished it off. I would've bought their hottest sauce available, but they wanted too much for it. And I've tried and failed to grow ghost peppers, and yet I was able to get a few peppers from when my dad grew one for me. They're still in the freezer, because I don't know what to do with them yet. What I want to do is build up on them if I ever decide to try and grow another pepper plant.

They are working on making hotter peppers every year. You'll get your chance.

I remember a news story that someone crossbred hot peppers and created Dragon's Breath: a pepper SO hot, it was inedible! Well, how do you know for sure how hot it really is if you can't eat it? It numbs the skin, so what? That barely tells me anything. Would I try it? Probably not, but still. www.tastingtable.com/cook/national/worlds-hottest-pepper-dragons-breath

I remember reading about that! I thought it was interesting myself. I wouldn't dare to eat one unless I had a death wish, which I don't, but can you imagine using that pepper as a base for pepper spray or teargas??

No, they use something weaker for that. Dragon's Breath, Ghost and Reapers would be too much.

Use it on the more deserving like rapists or whatever!! Anyway, I had a small bowl of pumpkin soup for dinner, and that's it.

As evil as it sounds, I'm with Melee on that one. There are disgusting people out there who are too good for jail or even the death penalty, but I know many people don't agree. Some do, I'm sure, but who knows? Maybe we want to try that pumpkin soup! Care to elaborate on the ingredients?

You sure? The way I prepped it this time around, it's got a funky aftertaste, so I had to throw it out. I pureed and strained the solids this time, and I think that's what did it: straining. I got it off Youtube, but my usual attempts were so much better. Again, this batch didn't taste as good as the others.

If it will work on people that are high, sure. Yes, pepper spray, or tasers for that matter will not work at all on people that drugged up something fierce.
I got to try that.

Yeah, I've watched a few cop shows that showed some questionable suspects like that, more so Live PD, which is also my brother's favorite. Well all right then. If you make that stuff again and it turns out better, try and remember to post what you've done, if you want. Or post the youtube video if you're so sure your way isn't good enough. Anyway, I've made enough shrimp rice for leftovers tomorrow. If you ever need to heat up rice that's been in the fridge, just add water to the container the rice is in, drape it with a paper towel, and throw it in the microwave for a while, stirring and fluffing the rice every so often. Works every time for us!

Funny, I watch that too.
That's a good tip, I should try that.

That's how I cook leftover rice! lol! I don't cook a lot of rice to make leftovers anymore, though.
Shredded chicken sandwich for lunch: cooked a chicken breast and shredded it in a bowl with two forks, poured ranch dressing and used chili and paprika powder, mixed it, and slathered it on whole-grain toast with salad greens. I've also begun putting bread in ziplock bags and tossing them in the freezer because I'm tired of wasting them. Heat them up in the microwave or throw them in a toaster as is, and they're just as good!
Had a bowl of cheerios, to finish it off. Currently cooking instant potato and cheese soup, which I think I overdid it on the water... And yes, Shadow, if my next attempt is a successful one, I'll be sure and post it!
Nov 10 2019: Leftover potato soup for breakfast heated up on the stove, and a chicken sausage, because why not? I got enough leftover soup to last me a couple days.

Is the potato soup homemade or that instant stuff? I picked up a couple instant soups for work lunch the other day. They're all Bearcreek soups, one is a Tortilla Soup Bowl, and the other is a Chedder Potato. I had a small chicken breast and a kale salad for an early dinner today.

Instant, and it's not Bearcreek. I forgot what brand it is, but I got it from Aldies the other day. Just had a leftover burrito from the other day, too. Too much for me! X(
Nov 12 2019: I made homemade crawfish stock, and mashed tail meat I used to help make the stock. I boiled the crawfish, removed the meat, put the shells in a pot with chicken stock and water, boiled them, strained the shells and the liquid into another pot, took the tail meat and threw it into the stock, mashed it up using an immersion blender, heated it up for a while, then strained the mashed meat from the stock. Bagged up the stock and the meat in two separate bags, and threw them in the freezer for later use.
So, um, my question is: what can I do with the leftover mashed meat?

I end up making sandwiches with something of that nature. That or sterfry.

With mushy crawfish meat? The sandwich idea sounds nice, though. Maybe make it into a crawfish spread or something. I looked up Crawfish Paste, and Duckduckgo doesn't recognize it as an average food, so there's no ideas for it, nor does it recognize Mashed Crawfish, as it always gives me Mashed Potato With Crawfish ideas, and that doesn't even sound good.
I'm very experimental when it comes to food, though, therefore, I can come up with some weird stuff myself, but I tend to need something as a base for an idea, like chicken or crawfish. I think I'm just gonna throw the mush away. That's what you do when you make stock anyway...
I got a sh!t load of freezer food I need to eat up, but again, can't come up with ideas for them. Right now, I'm snacking on saltine crackers.

There you go, you can make spreads for crackers too. It's an idea to me.

Mixed it with mayo and cajun spices and made a very simple crawfish dip, because I didn't know what else to do. And yes, it's great on crackers, already tried it, but I think it'll be even better once it's chilled. Going to have a chicken sandwich for dinner. Nov 18 2019: Burger King for lunch earlier with my bro. Just a bacon cheeseburger and fries. Nothing too fancy. Nov 23 2019: My rice cooker is destroyed no thanks to my carelessness. Left it sitting on top of my convection oven while the oven was on, melted the bottom of my cooker, and burned the internals. It no longer works, so I had to throw it away. In other words, I won't be eating rice for a while, which I guess is a good thing anyway, but steaming my vegetables are going to be a pain in the ass for a while. Turkey bacon cooked in an air fryer, scrambled eggs, and toast with melted cheese on it, was my breakfast this morning.

Don't they have warnings on the ovens for that kind of thing?
I just had an egg salad sandwich and a bottled water for dinner. Egg salad was premade from WalMart, but I added some chopped celery for some crunch. I was too lazy to do any heavy cooking tonight.
So Melee, do you have any plans for Thanksgiving? We're, that is, my parents, brother, and I, are going to be spending ours at our aunts and uncles this time.

Not mine, I'm afraid. I'll just have to go without rice for a while, which is fine because I need to cut back anyway...although I do have some rice from dinner last night (Chinese). I bagged it up and put it in my freezer. Luckily, as you mentioned, Shadow, that stuff can be microwaved, if already cooked. I also had some shrimp with lobster sauce, and I'm having it and the rice for breakfast right now. Chili spaghetti is a dish I haven't had in a while, because my mom got me into buying Dreamfield Pasta from now on, and stores haven't carried it lately. Oh well, at least I'm getting a good break from pasta, even though I miss it. As stated above, I had delivery Chinese for dinner last night with my mom and brother: white rice, fried cream cheese wontons, and shrimp with a lobster sauce that's like a soup or something. I usually get beef and broccoli, but I got tired of it, so I choose something different. And I don't know what the heck I'm doing for Thanksgiving. I think I'll be spending it at my mom's again. Edit Dec 7 2019: Fourth time making this stuff and turns out wonderful every time! I'm cooking it for dinner right now! Braciole with Tomato Sauce

Obviously not a recipe, but helpful advice all the same: If you have a garbage disposal and it stops working suddenly even when using the reset button, scalding water is your friend, as my bro and I discovered last night while doing dishes. Push the button on the disposal under your sink until it stays in, boil a big pot of water, and slowly pour it into the sink disposal while it's off. It'll save you money on stuff like Drano, though it may not always work, so don't take my official word for it. I think we just got lucky with the boiling water. And that Braciole recipe sounds wonderful! I just checked and we got ingredients to make that stuff, so I'll make it for dinner tomorrow. I had steamed salmon and steamed brussels sprouts for dinner earlier, so that's enough for me tonight. And then the both of us made this the other night: www.southyourmouth.com/2015/08/chicken-lazone.html We weren't impressed. Didn't have much taste to it, and it was too greasy for our liking, but maybe you two will have better luck making the dish than we did.

It's a no for me, too, sadly. I made that lazone stuff for a (very late) dinner last night after reading your post, and you were right on the dot of it being greasy and tasteless, even when following the recipe from top to bottom. And yes, Braciole is really good! I aim for that to be a staple dinner of mine! I buy meat every time I go to the store anyway, so why not? (though I went yesterday but didn't buy flank steak) Brussels sprouts, I got tired of after a while. I'd rather have broccoli florets, as they're easier to chew. And thanks, I'll keep the boiling water idea in mind, because I'm sure my drain accumulates leftover olive oil and meat fat over time anyway. Dec 23 2019: Ricearoni with sausage, Italian seasoning, and cayenne pepper powder for spice, to save what ghost pepper powder I have left. Dec 24 2019: Bricole sucked. I tried to make one in my new rice cooker using the slow cooker feature, but the meat fell apart when I cut into it, so I just threw it away. I'll be attempting to make a frittata in the cooker next for lunch using a recipe that came with the cooker. Edit: frittata was all right. Not something I'd make again though. Dec 29 2019: Pesto Chicken Pizza from a Keto recipe book I got from my mom for Christmas. Definitely going to be a staple dinner of mine!

The recipe called for almond flour, though. Here it is in case you guys want to give it a shot. I didn't use bell pepper or basil leaves, though, as I didn't have any basil leaves, and I can't stand bell pepper. Hope you can read it...

Countrycrock original, in the tub, and the only brand of butter I ever buy anymore. I melted that in a bowl in the microwave.
