Peach gets to her feet, turns to Luigi and Ganon, and said, "Thank you so much. If it wasn't you, I would have been a goner with Bowser."



"If I know that koopa, he'll be back," Ganondorf said.

"That's true, I hate to say," Luigi said, knowing Bowser as well.

"If that's the case...I wonder where he went?" the princess asked.

Ganondorf and Luigi started to think when they all heard Mario say, "Princess!"

They turn and Ganondorf said, "Curse it! He's here!"



"Oh dear...they'll be confused if they see you here," Peach said.

"Lets gets out of here!" Luigi said.

"I'm with you. Your brother might have back up that I don't need," Ganondorf said.

"I'll see you later then," Peach said.

They nod and take off.



Peach takes out her parasal and pretends there's nothing wrong while Mario, Link and Pit rush in then stop.



"Peach! You're OK!" Mario said.

"Mario? I didn't expect you to be here," Peach said, covering her tracks.

"Where have you been? Mario was worried sick. What with Bowser and Ganondorf going after you," Pit said.

"I managed to dodge them both. Not bad huh?" she continued and turned to them.



"But how?" Link asked.

"Luigi helped me," she said.

"That explains why we saw Luigi with Ganon on that ship," Pit said, "But why was Ganon with him?"

"To fool him. Luigi was still scared, but after he got me, he ran off leaving Ganon behind. You should have seen the look on that gerudo's face."

"My bro tricked him? I'm impressed," Mario said out of surprise.

"Well...I better get home," Peach said, yawning a little, "I'll meet you at the castle."

She walks by the trio, leaving them confused a little.

Link puts his sword away, but still wonders a little of what really happened.



"I'm not sure if she's telling the truth, but at least she's safe," Pit said.

"I better head home anyway," Mario said, scratching his head, "Thanks for helping me out likewise."

"No problem, if you need any help let me know," Pit said then takes off into the sky.

"Coming Link?" Mario asked the warrior.

"Give me a few minutes," he said.

"OK, later," Mario said and walked off.

After they left, Link jumps onto a platform and looks around.

"Peach lied, I know it," he thought taking out his blade.



"Luigi and Ganondorf have have been doing something, but besides Wario, I have no proof," Link thought again looking around, "I'll go with the story for now, but once I'm back in Hyrule, I'll talk to Zelda and see if she can get any more info."


He then left the area.

Ganondorf just sported a smirk, turns his head slightly, and said, "I don't see why your conserned. Peach's story was well put. She put you in the spot light."



"Still, if we hadn't have bolted, that would would been a different story."

Luigi looks around then asked, "How long have you been with the princess?"

"About three days," Ganondorf said, "Truth to be told, I was going to use her to conquer her kingdom."

"I take it that changed," Luigi asked slyly.

"I'm still thinking about it," the gerudo said, looking at the Mario brother at the corner of his eye, making luigi nervous.

He calms himself then asked, "W-What cause you to go a different path?"

"Who else do you think?"

"Bowser..." Luigi said rolling his eyes, "I get you. He kept getting in the way?"

"You got it."

"That explains a few things..." Luigi thought then got up and said, "Well, I better get home. Maybe we'll talk a little more."

"Uh...Sure."

Luigi walks off, leaving Ganondorf wondering if he had something else on his mind.



He then turns and looks out from the ledge he was on.

"I still wonder if this stupid journey was all worth it..." he said to himself.



"You made the choice," a voice was heard behind him.

Ganondorf turns and saw Lucario behind him.



"Oh...It's you..." Ganondorf said, not seeming to care, "What do you want?"

"The truth," Lucario said, "What happened back there?"

"None your concern, pokemon," the gerudo said, looking out again, but looking back to see if Lucario was trying to pull something.



"I'm serious," the fighting type said.

"Are you trying to make me mad? It's working," Ganondorf said in annoyance.

"You've changed somewhat is seems. What's going on?"

The gerudo looks out for a moment again, saying nothing then looks back at Lucario.



"You protected the princess didn't you?"

"Shove off!" Ganondorf said, anger rising.

"I asked you a question."

The gerudo started to bare is teeth in frustration.



"I said 'Begone!'" Ganondorf shouted at Lucario, now in rage, turned and tried to hit him with his fist, Lucario barely dodging.



Now alert, Lucario went into a stance and asked, "Why must you attack? I'm only asking you something."

"When I say something myself, you should obey," Ganondorf said, still agitated, "Be off with you."



"...Fine. Do as you wish," Lucario said, walking away.

Ganondorf turns and looks out once more.

The pokemon glances at the shadow lord for a moment, and thought "He's a tough nut to crack. There must be something to make him talk."

A few days later, Ganondorf walks across the bridge of Eldin, now repaired, and thinks to himself.



"Things didn't quite go to plan, but at least I got Peach on my side," he thought, "I hate to admit though, I think she...Hmm?"

Ganondorf turns slightly to see Princess Zelda behind him.



"Well, well, well...I never thought I'd see you out of the castle all alone, princess," He said.

"I just wish to talk," Zelda said arms slightly folded.

A smile appears on Ganondorf's face, turns and asked, "About what?"



"About your actions a few days ago," she said, "About you going after Peach."

The smile fades and, in annoyance, he asked, "What about it?"

"Why were you after her?"

"You think I'm going to tell you? My lips are sealed."

"What about Luigi?"

"What's that got to do with things?"

"Peach said you were tricked by him and usually he's quite timid."

"Don't remind me," Ganondorf said acting in anger, knowing of Peach's lie, but followed up on it.

"So you were tricked, how did he do that?" Zelda asked with interest.

"I'm not talking anymore," he said, turning his head away.



"Can't handle that, huh?" Zelda asked, "I figured you changed."

"Please..." Ganondorf said, rolling his eyes, then started to walk off, "I'm out of here."



"Would you be interested in where Peach is now?"

"No," he answered then stopped and turned slightly, "Wait a minute...what are you up to?"



"Oh nothing," Zelda said.

Ganondorf narrowed his eyes to that then turned and walked away.

"Well?" A voice was heard behind Zelda.

"He's wising up to me, I admit. He said the same thing Peach did," she said continuing to watch him.



Link walks in and said, "I still think that's not the whole story."

"We'll have to forget it for now. It could mean trouble if we try to get in too deep," Zelda said and walks off.

Link looks back at where Ganondorf walked off, but stays with the princess.

Ganondorf looks back for a moment and thought, "I already know where she is, Zelda..."

At Delfino Plaza, Peach, Mario and Luigi were relaxing on a small island not far from the town.



"Ah...I needed this..." Peach said.

"We all needed it," Mario said, "I hope I don't get anymore surprises."

"I doubt it," Luigi said with a smile, knowing nothing bad will happen, "Hey, can we get some souvenirs?"

"I don't see why not."

"You might want to show Luigi around anyway," Peach said.

"You sure?" Mario asked.

"I'll be fine."

"Mind if I talk to the princess for a second?" Luigi said, "I'll meet up with you later."

"OK, see later," Mario said then swam to the plaza.

"Peach...I don't know why, but I have a feeling Ganondorf is going to show up,"

She got to her feet and said, "To be honest, I sent a him letter a few days ago, inviting him over here to join us."



"But my bro!" Luigi said, almost panicking, but she covers his mouth and said, "That's where you come in. I'm sure you can hold Mario back. Please...for me?"

A few minutes later, Luigi walks down the streets of the town.



"Wow, I'm glad I came here. The sea, the sun, the beach...nothing scary here!" he said to himself then thought, "Peach must trust Ganondorf pretty well if she invited him over here. The thing is when?"

He shrugs then felt something crawling in his skin.

"There's that feeling again," he thought and looked around.

He turns around knowing it's behind him.



Nothing was seen until he looked up slightly, and spotted a familiar figure on the shine gate.



"He's here!" Luigi thought, "Wait...how'd he get up there?"

Ganondorf spotted him too and just gave his usual smirk.



Luigi gave a smile as well, but almost jumped when he heard "Luigi!"

He turns in fright to see Mario.



"Sorry about that," he said, "I didn't think you were that interested in the shine gate."

"Uh..." Was all that came out of Luigi's mouth at first then turned to the gate again, noticed Ganondorf was gone.



"What's the matter?" Mario asked.

"It's just...I'm not sure if I understand why these Shine Sprites come over here," Luigi said, covering up what he really saw.

"Oh, let me explain," Mario said with a smile and started to talk about the history of the island.

"That was close," Luigi thought, and listened to every word his brother said as they walked off.

They were about to head back over to where Peach was when they spot a dark figure on the island with her.

"Hmm? Who's that?" Mario asked.

"I'm not sure..." Luigi said, even though he knew.

They swam over for a closer look to see that it was Ganondorf and was behind her.



"Ganondorf!!" Mario shouted, startling the princess and making the gerudo turn slightly.

The Mario brother was about to charge, but Luigi got in front of him, grabbed him and said, "No, don't do it! It's not what you think!"



"Let go! She's in danger!"

"Mario, stop," Peach said calmly, "I invited him here."

This made Mario stop and look at the princess in confusion.

"Whew thanks," Luigi said.

"What's going on here?" Mario asked.



"I kind of lied a little. Luigi wasn't the only one that helped me," Peach said.

"What? Him? I don't believe it..." Mario said.

"Figured you'd say that," Ganondorf said, rolling his eyes.

"Now, now..." Peach said.

"It's OK. I think it's a little too much for him to bare right now," he adds.

"You're up to something right now aren't you?" Mario thought, then asked, "I didn't think you come here. I thought you didn't like the light."

Ganondorf laughs, kneels down to his level and said, "Cute. You do remember I'm desert dweller right?"



"So this is nothing to you?" Luigi asked.

"Correct. This feels just right for me," Ganon adds as he gets up and looks around, "A bit brighter in the eyes here though."

"Well, since everyone is here, we might as well have some fun," Peach said.

"What do you have in mind?" Mario asked, still keeping an eye on the gerudo.

"A little tour first, Luigi and Ganondorf are new here."

"Fair enough," Ganon said.

"I'm game," Luigi said.

"We'll spit up into two's. I'll take Luigi," Peach said.

"Mario and I, huh? This will be interesting," Ganondorf said.



"Good," Mario thought, "Maybe I'll see what he has planned."

"We'll meet you back here is about 3:00," Peach said, "Have a good time."

Luigi got worried at this point, then followed her off.

"We might as well get started," Mario said after they left, then looks at Ganondorf and adds, "I don't want any trouble from you, so stay behind me at all times."

"You just worry about yourself, Jumpman," the desert king said.

Mario walks off and swims across the water to the mainland then walked into town, Ganondorf close behind using his powers.

They stop for a moment and looked around.

"Come on," Mario said and walked off, the gerudo not far behind.



Ganondorf stops for a moment and once Mario was out of sight he looks...what the heck?!



"Caught you off guard, huh? If you think this is the end of the whole story, you got another thing coming," Ganondorf said, "My plan is almost complete, so don't you dare say anything to Mario or any other stupid hero. Got it?! But for now...I'll admit I could use some R and R."

"Ganondorf!" Mario called him.

The gerudo quickly runs after him.

"Where were you?" Mario asked, feeling uneasy.

"Sorry, got distracted by that gate," he said.

Mario was unsure then walked off.

Ganondorf sports a smirk and followed.

A few hours go back and everyone was back at the small island.

"So how did everything go?" Peach asked.

"Interesting," Mario said, "I didn't think Ganondorf would listen about the history here."

"These Shine Sprite things are different," he said.

"We do some more tomorrow," Peach said, "Lets just relax for the rest of the day."

"Sounds like a plan," Luigi said, now sitting down.

Ganondorf yawns a little then lays down on the sand and closes his eyes.

"Hasn't he ever thought about taking that armor off?" Luigi asked.

Mario scratches his head to that, but Peach said laughing a little, "He did say he doesn't mind this heat."

The Mario brother shrugs then joins Luigi.

Peach kneel down to Ganondorf and asked, "Comfortable?"



"Mmm hmm," was all that come out of him then he opened one eye, and asked, "How's Mario dealing with me?"

"OK...I think," Peach said.

"Give him time. Next thing you know, he might help me out."

"That'd be something," Peach said then joins the brothers.

Ganondorf looks at them for a moment then looks at the back of his right hand, the triforce of power glowing, and thought, "It would be wouldn't it? It's just...if he wants to or not..."

"Heh," he sounded softly, then closed his eyes again and fell asleep.
