Fanfic: Power of Choice

Peach looked over the edge of Hyrule Temple, admiring it's beauty.



"Wow! I never thought this place was so amazing. I should come here more often," she thought, "Maybe Mario will join me later."

"I never thought you'd be here princess," a voice was heard.

"Oh no..." Peach thought and turned and saw her old enemy, Bowser, behind her.



"Well this is perfect!" he said, "Nobody to bother us."

"How did you get here?" Peach asked, annoyed that he's trying to get her again.

"That's a little rude," he said, faking a bit sadness, "You should come and join me back at my castle! I'm sure you'd like that."

"Forget it!" she said, "You know Mario will beat you again."

"But Mario's not here is he?" Bowser said walking forward a little, but Peach stood back.



"Don't come any closer," she warned.

"Don't be like this Peach," he said, "And besides, where are you going to go?"

Peach goes silent.

"Point taken I bet," Bowser said takes a step forward again then outstretches his arms as if to welcome her, "Come on princess. Don't be shy."



Peach thinks about it for a second then shakes her head.

Bowser growls and said, "Why are you always like this?"

"You get kiddnapped one day and see how you like it," she said.

"If you were my kiddnapper, I wouldn't mind a bit."

Peach growls herself and almost screamed, "Will you leave me alone?!"

She jumps backwards off the ledge which Bowser almost grabbed her.



"What are you doing?!" Bowser said almost having a heartattack.

"Getting away from you," Peach said and got out her parasal, slowly desending down.

"Darn it, Peach!" Bowser said looking over the edge.



"Try and catch me!" Peach said and thought, "What a bone head..."

She takes control and slowly falls, watching her back for anything.

BTW, in your story, have you ever thought about using the Subspace Emissary areas(some, not all) for some of the parts or no? I did a little.

No I haven't, but that's a good idea, though! Problem: those enemies might get in my way. I've never really played it much after I've beaten it, and I haven't noticed, but if you kill them, are they gone off the level for good, or do they come back when you head back to the start of the level?

Some do, some don't. I go through the stage first to see if it's a good area, then I pick a spot that's good, clear the enemies and go from there. Hope it helps. Right now, my batteries are being charged.

Thanks, and I'm currently taking pics for the next chapter, which hopefully, will be posted soon. I WAS scanning another pic from my manga, but I'm having problems with the program my scanner came with...again, so it didn't come out right.

The HP program stopped working. I got it up earlier, but then it froze when it was in the middle of scanning my pic, then I couldn't get the program itself working after I closed it. I don't want to have to use my camera because of the poor quality it gives for my drawings...

Makes me wish I had a scanner, I'd show off my drawings.

Eh...scanners aren't that great, though, because it sometimes messes up the pic, but at least you can adjust the lighting and stuff on it to improve the quality and stuff.

Hmk, I don't want to turn this into a discussion thread, so I'll stop. Sorry.

It's OK. I don't mind myself if we have a little chat.



Peach soon spots a platform nearby and lands safely on it.



"Whew. It was a risky drop, but at least I'm away from him," she thought, "I wish he would just leave me alone."

She cleans herself off a little from the landing.



"No doubt he'll try and find me again," she thought again, "I better get out of here...and fast."

She looks around to make sure no one's around then runs up a hill to safety..or so she thinks.



At the top, Peach spots a tall shadow in the distance.

"I'm not alone up here?" she thought, "I hope it's not one of Bowser's buddies..."

With caution, she walks over to the shadow.

Once close enough, she easily realizes who she is in front of. The King of Evil, Ganondorf.



"Uh oh..." she thought, "Wait his eyes are closed...Maybe he didn't notice me..."

She turns the other way and was about to slowly walk off, when she heard a deep voice, saying "Who's there?"

She turns and sees Ganondorf's eyes open, looking right at her, arms still folded.



"Well, Well..." he said, "Princess Peach I presume?"

"Great...first Bowser, now Ganondorf..." Peach thought, "What's he going to do to me?"

"What are you doing here of all places?" he asked again.

"Well...I was just sight seeing myself," she said.

"May I ask why?"

"I just wanted to get away from it all."

"I see..."

"Er...What are you doing here?" Peach asked, and watches her back in case she gets tricked.

Ganondorf sees this, but discards it.



"I come here to clear my head," he simply says, "Why are you so nervous?"

"Um...you see...Someone's about to kidnap me..." she said.

"Bowser I take it?"

"Yes..." she admits and lowers her head.

"No surprise there..." Ganondorf said, then thought, "It's about to change too...little one."

He starts to uncross his arms then asked, "You shouldn't have come alone."



"I know, but like I said, I needed to get away from it all," Peach said getting a little aggravated.

"That stressed out?" he asked, a little surprised that even she would feel pressure.

"That's why I came here. It's beautiful I'll say that much," she said with a small smile.

The gerudo king says nothing to that.

Peach looks behind herself once again, nervously but when she looks forward again, she is surprised to see Ganondorf's hand outstretched to her.



"Let me help you," he said.

"Wait...I know you...you're going to use me aren't you?" Peach said.

"What makes you think that?" he asked pulling his arm back.

"Zelda told me that you are not afraid to kill women and children."

"I haven't touched you though have I?"

Peach knew he was right...but was still unsure.

"That's kind of harsh," he adds, then sports a smirk as if saying he's not angry.

He shows his hand again to her.

"If you need to get out of here...I'll lead," he said, "Bowser won't touch you."

"I know this is wrong..." Peach thought, "But I'll test him."

She reaches over to Ganondorf's hand.

Suddenly Bowser jumps down from a nearby ledge, as he overheard voices.



"What's going on over here?" Bowser asked.

"Not again..." Peach said after turning to him.



Bowser notices Ganondorf and asked in anger, "What is he doing here?!"

"Oh we were just having a little chat," the gerudo said, just to get the koopa king angry.

"You are trying to take her away from me aren't you?" Bowser asked, just about losing it.

"Now you're just putting words in my mouth. I have no interest in the young lady," Ganon said, still keeping cool.

"You're lying! First you turn me into a trophy, now this!"

"I see you're letting the wool cover your eyes again..."

"Enough! Come and fight me! I dare you!"

Ganondorf laughs and said, "Fine be that way."

Peach looks at him and asked, "Do you really want to do this?"

The gerudo king smashes his fist into the palm of his hand said, "He wants it. I'll give it to him."



"Oh please," Bowser said rolling his eyes, "You're messing with the Koopa King!"

"I've handled worse scum then you," Ganondorf taunted back.

"Then come on!"

Peach watches as Ganondorf walks over to Bowser and thought, "This is going to get ugly..."



Bowser charges and tries to bite the evil king, only to see that Ganon was faster then he looks and, despite his armor, manages to get behind him.

"You need to work on your speed, old friend," Ganon taunts.

Angered by this, Bowser entered his shell and tried to do his Whirling Fortress move, but Ganondorf blocks this and get in front of his foe. Bowser then tried to use his claws, only to see the Gerudo dodge to the side.



"Hold still!" Bowser shouted.

Ganondorf laughs everytime he dodged an attack getting the koopa more and more angry.

At the end though, Bowser was getting tired and stopped attacking all together.

"Sad...I was hoping you'd put up more of a fight. You need to get in shape," Ganondorf said, and got into a stance, "My turn. Lets see you take this!"

His left hand glows with dark energy as he starts to charge it up slightly.



He then charges in, grabs Bowser, and much to Peach's surprise, lifts him off the ground easily.

"Wha-what is this?" Bowser said in stun that the Gerudo is able to lift him.



"I have something you don't," Ganondorf said, "Something from my home world that was given to me. The Triforce of Power and, as you can guess, gives me strength like no other. Now...why don't you take a break...?"

That's when Bowser was blasted by burst of darkness from Ganondorf's hand, with great force.



Bowser goes limp from that and Ganondorf lets go of him, hitting the ground with a thud.



Peach was at first, horrified, but Ganondorf said, "Calm down, I didn't kill him. He's not worth it anyway."

He was about to walk over to Peach when she pointed something out to him.

He turns back around and sees that Bowser was trying to get up.



"Heh. We have a stubborn one," Ganondorf said with amusement.

"I'm not going to lose to you!" Bowser said in rage, "Princess Peach belongs to me!!"

He roars at Ganondorf out of frustration.



The king of evil just laughs and said, "Shouldn't she make that choice on her own? I swear, you have an IQ of a rock."

"You little..."

"Listen to me. Don't you think you should move on? There more people in this world for you take anyhow."

"You go after Zelda," Bowser points out.

"That's different. She has something that I want. You, on the other hand, take Peach for something else...and I mean besides ruling Mushroom Kingdom..."

Bowser goes silent after that.



"What's the matter? First you're a big shot, now you're quiet as a mouse," Ganondorf said, knowing he hit home.

"Shut up," Bowser said, "I will have the princess...just you wait.

He walks off, unsure what to do now.



Ganondorf shakes his head to this, and a sneaky smile appears on his face, now that Bowser is out of the way, but quickly hides it.

"Thank you," Peach said, "But did you have to go that rough?"

He turns to her and said, "With him, you have to."



"Now then...anywhere you want to go?" he asked.

"He's up to something..." Peach thought again.

"Well?" he asked again.

"Uh...how about the main land of Hyrule?"

"That shouldn't be a problem," he said, and decides to see if he can make her laugh by bowing to her and to see if she trusts him yet.



"Are you trying to be funny?" Peach asked annoyed, but in her head she was amused a little.

He gets up, shrugs and said, "Oh well, I tried."

He then thinks and said, "The bridge of Eldin should be a good spot too if you want to see Hyrule Castle when the sun is about to set."

Peach thought about it and said, "OK."

Ganondorf gives her his arm a little.



"Well? Lets go," he said

Peach was unsure still, but goes along with it.

That's pretty good.

Hours pass as Peach and Ganondorf walked to the Bridge of Eldin.



"Wow. It sure is nice out," Peach said.

Ganondorf didn't say anything to that, but looked around, and thought, "So far, so good. My plan will go into motion pretty soon."

Peach layed down and relaxed, her feet somewhat sore from walking.



She looks over the bridge and said, "You're right. This is a nice spot."

"Isn't it though..." Ganondorf thought, still desiring to control over all of Hyrule.

He then thinks about Mushroom Kingdom, liking the thought of controling it as well.

"What are you up to?" Peach's voice interrupted his thought.

He snaps out of it, turns to her slightly and asked, "Why do you ask?"



"You went quiet on me...I know you're planning something," she said.

"She's smart..." Ganondorf thought, but said, "Like I told Bowser I have no interest in you. Just leave it at that. I asked you if you want me to take you here and you said, 'yes' if I remember..."

Peach cursed in her head, knowing he was right again.

Ganondorf kneels down close to her level and added, "Just trust me for a little while will you?"



"Fine, but if Mario or Link finds out what you're up to..." she warned.

"Yeah, yeah...I know," he said, starting to get fed up, and thought, "At least Zelda doesn't have that attitude..."

He gets up and said, "Come on. I haven't shown you all of Hyrule yet."

"There must be some way to get out of this," Peach thought and starts to get up.



"Where are going to take me now?" she asked.

"To the Lanayru province," he said, "It will take us to Hyrule Castle. So many people take this path, that's it's feeling the pressure from the weather and over use. I have to admitt, I use it too much as well."

"Are sure it's safe?"

"So far, soilders of Hyrule check here daily and nothing serious has happened to it. Somebody would have yelled at us by now if it is dangerous. Now let's-hmm?" Ganondorf stopped mid-sentance and turns around.



"What is it?" Peach asked.

"Something's wrong..." he said, sensing something off, "It's too quiet..."

More suspense? I like it!

Didn't think you like that sort of thing.

Are you kidding? Most of my stories are suspenseful! My main fic, Cold Spirit, is a perfect example, although I haven't worked on it since early last year! I got horrible writers block.

When Ganondorf turned around, he saw a barrel on the bridge.



"What the?" Peach said.

"That's a Power Keg! Stand back!" he shouted.

Suddenly there was an explosion and at first the bridge took the blast, but then it fell apart on it's own.



Dust and debris blew their way, and Ganondorf sheilded Peach, as some pieces flew at them.

After it died down, he lets go of the princess and walks over to the edge of the bridge.

"I can't believe this!" he said in anger.

"And I see who did it! Look!" Peach said.

Ganondorf does so and spots Bowser at the other side of the now broken bridge.



"How do you like me now, King of Evil?" Bowser taunted.

"Why am I not surprised...?" Ganondorf thought.

"You should have given Peach to me a long time ago," the koopa continued pointing at him.



"Make my day. I'm not letting you touch her," Ganon said.

"So you two are together..."

"Actually, Peach ordered me to protect her, so back off."

Bowser couldn't tell if he was lying or not from his tone.

"If you don't watch it, I won't go easy on you," the gerudo warned.

"Good luck finding your way around though. See you later, loser."

Bowser walks off.



"I'm so sorry this happened," Peach said a little upset, "It's all my fault."

"No it isn't," Ganondorf said, "It's mostly mine. I should have took the longer route so this wouldn't happen."

Peach was surprised at what he said but, like Bowser, couldn't tell if he spoke the truth.

"Thankfully there's another way around," he continued and turned slightly to her, "It might be long, but it's worth it."



"Great, I guess," Peach said.

"I know it's a pain in the neck, but with the bridge gone we have no choice," he said then thought, "This isn't a big deal anyway. It might slow me down, but at least you're still with me."

He growls a little however, and said aloud, "I'm going to take him out if it's last thing I do."



Peach gets nervous from that.

He turns around, walks by Peach and said, "Come on. We don't have time to stand around."



Peach was about to say something, but something clicks into her mind.

She walks over to the edge of the bridge, kneels down and looks below her.



"Hmm...This just might be my ticket out of here," she thought, "Once I get to the water, I'm free."

She checks to see if Ganondorf was watching her, and once she sees that he wasn't, she jumps off and floats down to the water by parasal.



Ganondorf didn't hear anything for a few seconds, looked over his shoulder slightly and asked, "Peach? Are you there?"



He heard nothing.

"Something's off..." he thought, turns completely around and saw that Peach was gone.



"You have got to be kidding me!" he shouted in anger and ran over to the edge of the bridge.



"Where did you go?!" he said looking around in panic, and thought, "This is just great! What's next?!"

Ganondorf looks down at the broken bridge.

"Wait a minute..." he said, bends down, and looks at the river.



"Trying to get away huh?" he thought, "If I'm correct..."

Ganondorf gets up again and thinks, try to remember where it leads and knows a short cut.

"I just might catch up to her..." he thought, "I better find that woman before that idiot does...Then again, I wouldn't mind another fight."

He runs off as fast as his legs could carry him.

It's fine! Great job!

As day turned to night, Peach ran as fast as she could over a bridge.



"This is becoming too much," she thought.

"Excuse me," a voice was heard behind her.

She stops and turns slightly to the voice.



"Who's there?" she asked.

"Don't be alarmed," the voice continued.

Peach turns completely around and a smile appeared on her face.

"Link! It's great to see you again," she said.

"Same here," he said putting his sword away, "What are you doing way out here in the dead of night? Don't you know it's dangerous?"



"Right now, this is nothing," Peach said, "I'm trying to avoid Bowser and Ganondorf."

"Ganondorf too? Why is he after you?"

"I'm not sure. He said he would help me, but I sensed something from him and managed to get away. Right now, I want to get out of here."

"Mind if I help you?"

"Sure, if it's not too much."

"It's fine, follow me. I know a way out of Hyrule."

Link leads the way with Peach close behind.



An hour later, Ganondorf runs across the same bridge.



"She's faster then I thought," he said aloud to himself then thinks, "I hope I didn't get too far ahead...or behind."

Suddenly a shadow blocks his path.

"What the? Out of my way!" he shouted, and tries to charge past the person.

He stops in his tracks however when he got in front of, not a human, but a pokemon. Lucario.



"You..." Ganondorf said in anger.

"I felt your dark aura..." he said, "You are not getting past me."

The gerudo laughs and asked, "You can handle me?"

"Your power is nothing," he added, "You do not have skill to overcome me."

Ganondorf cracks his knuckles and said, "We'll see about that."

Lucario goes into a stance and said, "Fine. Come."

Wonder what's gonna happen next, and nice touch on the bridge!

As you can see, I used a custom stage instead of a normal one. You can still get pretty good close ups even though you can't get good angles. It's also an old stage of mine.

Also I needed a night time setting and most of the stages don't have one(The Animal Crossing stage has a night time setting, but it wouldn't make sense to me).

I use the Unrestricted Camera code in the Homebrew Channel for snapshots, cause I hate how it's set up in the game.

I can't use that because my internet is still not fast enough.

I haven't put up much of pics because one of my cats passed away so I'm been feeling pretty bad.
