Another Dimension: Demonic Tempest

As they walked, you could hear the water outside. Clearly they were in an underwater base, but Sans was trying to figure out how it began. This 'virus' is not normal of course, but it sounds like there is more to it.

The sound of a rat was heard too, however it was changed like the humans, having strange hard skin on it's back and tries to attack the group.

While the familiar sound of being under water didn't seem to bother Luke and Armstrong, the sound of a rat caught their attention. Luke quickly turned and spotted it, grabbing his sword and attempts to spear it.

It takes the blow, but not before Torial sent fire at it. Even on fire it tries again, before Ganon slashed it once, sending it flying and into two pieces.

"There better only be the one..." Chara said as she turned a corner.

"i'm with you there. i don't get it. why do they get this hard skin?" Sans said. A beeping noise was heard and from him, making him pat himself down and adding, "this i don't need either."

Torial spots the reason and said, "It's coming from your hood."

"my hood? oh that's right. that scanner nova made!" he lifts it over his eyes and they could hear Gangrel from it, "Can you hear me?"

"loud and clear here," Sans said.

The two men looked around to ensure there weren't anymore foes to worry about. Luke takes his sword and stores it away.

"I'm picking up two signals where you are. Are you ok so far?" Gengrel asked over the line.

"A mutated rat," Chara said, "Tough, kind of."

"So its true. You better be careful."

"You are so close now!" the voice was heard again.

"What's true?" asked Luke before stopping in his tracks and looking around after hearing the voice.

"About the mutations. Anything flesh gets attacked and changed." Gangrel said.

Sans heads through the next few rooms and looks around saying, "Anyone there?"

"You found me!" the voice said again, but the person couldn't be seen.

"Uh, where are you?" Chara asked.

"Oh...right...um... let's see. Oh! The...skeleton...wait there's two...umm...the smallest one!"

"yeah?" Sans said.

"Turn a little to your...left?...No right! Your right then look up!"

He does just that and spots what looks like a tablet of sorts, its 'eye' blinking excitedly, and it continues, "You got it! Do you see me?"



"huh, a tablet?"

"You tricked us!" Chara shouts, "You want us dead!"

"What?! No! I called for help from another gentleman in the next room! I'm worried about him too...You're going to have to use me to get past."

"How long has he been here?" Ganondorf asked.

"...in the room? Um...an hour? No..."

"Then what's the point? He's most likely dead by now."

"Is the cold that bad? I scanned him when he came. He's a hard worker. I'll give him that."

"wait, a cold?" Sans asked

"Yeah, still has it. Been a week."

"That means he hasn't changed. The virus can't attack another that's already in the host," Gangrel said, "You better find him."

"Need some help with that?" asked Luke, even though he was confused of what that object was and what it wanted.

"Well one, you need me to get to him...and for good reason," it said.

"you're pretty high up..." Sans admits before hearing a snap from Ganondorf's fingers.

A red liquid appears beside the tablet and it notices this, saying, "I don't remember this being here...do we have a leak?"

That's when a hand comes out of it, a single eye in its palm. And this this made the tablet freak out. It grabs the handle of the object and lowers it to Ganondorf. He takes it and the tablet soon said, "Well, that was unexpected. Thank you, just the same."

"what...was that?" Sans asked, freaked out with the hand

[The Melee Master]

"What was THAT?!" Pit asked Ganondorf.

"A Gloom Hand," he said, "It is my eyes as well can attack if you're not careful. I have no idea how that tablet got up there and that high, however."

"I was thrown up here...one worker was attacked by surprise and well...he was dragged away...but there's another that needs your help. Just watch out when you open the door..." it said.

"Why's that?" Chara asked, before hearing a chirp in a hallway nearby, before the sound of something fired and an explosion next.

"He has a sentry set up to stop the mutants...and I think it might mistake help for a threat..."

"And you can help?"

In a sly tone, it continued, "Well, not to toot my own horn, but I'm a master hacker. Just throw me at it, and I'll handle the rest. Just make sure the weapon is turned away or it's bye bye help..."

"Sounds like a distraction is in order," said Luke.

"Are you going to volunteer?" asked Armstrong.

"What? No way!"

"im glad i can make short cuts. i'll go," Sans said.

Ganondorf hands the tablet to him before the skeleton walked off with it.

Looking over a corner, Sans spots the target and quickly ducks back in before vanishing. He appeared in front of it and quickly tossed the tablet at the sentry, before vanishing again. The object did it's work, and the threat shorted out, before making a small explosion.

"I love my work," the tablet said and Sans appeared again.

"it's safe now!" he shouts back at the team.

The two men watch what was going on before hearing Sans, and walked out with the others.

Sans picks up the tablet once more and opened a door to see a man, laying near a wall nearby.

Chara noticed he wasn't moving, before going over and checking his pulse to see he's alive, but barely breathing.

"Oh no...there isn't much oxygen left in this room..." the tablet said

"gangrel, can you send us another rebreather from your dad?" Sans asked.

"Right away, just hang in there."

Ganondorf picks up the gentleman and carried him to the room they were last in. Once in place, another mask appeared and it was placed on the man. Sans was about to check on him next when the stranger made a huge gasp of air before coughing a couple of times and said, in a Southern accent, "Whoa...how long have I been out?"

"I've lost track, to be honest..." the tablet said.

"Wheatley? Is that you?" the man asked and turned to see Sans, mostly in surprise more then fear, "What in tarnation?"

"um," the skeleton sounded, "We aren't a threat if that's what you're thinking."

"I was going to say, though with you not growling at me or laughing at me was my biggest clue." He gets up and said, "Name's Dell Conagher. I'm in engineer. Pretty good one, back in the day."

"an engineer? i am glad to see a fellow engie."

"You too? You'll have to show me your work."

"Not now..." Chara moaned.

"I know not now. Just saying," he said and looked at the rest of the team, "Huh, not bad of the group."

"You're not scared of us?" Torial asked.

"Nah. I've seen them all. Having to deal with ghosts, ghouls, skeletons...a giant eyeball firing at us no thanks to a book that a wizard uses. I could go on and on, but I know I'll just bore you to death. I don't want to be like our old scout."

Sans snickers a little bit.

"Just a quick question, did any of you seen a cat around here?"

"A cat? Please tell me it's another thing we have to save..." Chara moaned.

"I don't own any pets and this one, isn't normal. Then again, I blacked out just as I saw it...but it was big. Really big...and not normal."

Sans was looking around the room, before he spotted something pass by down a hallway. It looked like a long purple tail and asked, "no one else came with us, right?"

"Of course not. Are trying to get out of this?" Undyne asked.

He didn't answer and walked into the hallway to see a doll on the ground. It looked like a purple cat and it had a very large smile and said, "funny...i could have sworn someone walked down this way."

He picked up the doll and noticed something in the mouth. Only to hear from Dell shouting, "Don't touch that thing!"

Too late, as a red smoke came out of it making the skeleton cough from it and a moment later, he fell to the ground, asleep.

"Sans?!" Torial asked in shock and before she could get to him, a clawed hand came out of the hallway and took him away.

"Whatever that thing is, it's heading for the exit out of this place!" Chara said

This surprises Armstrong and Luke before the swordsman took off after the clawed hand, "Give Sans back!!"

"I don't think it heard you! After that thing!" Dell shouts.

Ganondorf growls to this and the rest of the team chase after it.

Nova was alerted by something on the other side of the portal as my team waited and I asked, "What's wrong?"

"I have no idea...but something big is heading our way," he said.

Mono looks behind himself and noticed the mutants giving chase as well.

The creature sends out a red mist in front of it and at the exit. My team was hit by it, before we went down on the ground, asleep. The creature was about to run past, until it stopped to look at me. It was about to reach out until the shouts of the others behind it made run off into the park and disappear, leaving Sans behind and on the ground.

"Ok, that was exciting...but not what I wanted..." Wheatly said still in the skeleton's hands.

"Curse it!" Ganondorf said as he exited with the most of the team...but one on my side didn't come out.

Armstrong, Luke, Tikal, and the clone, all bolt off to chase after the hand as well.

"Curse it! Lost that thing!" Ganondorf said.

"Sans? Sans! Wake up!" Torial said trying to wake him up.

"Ow! Keep it down please..." the tablet said.

"Sad to say that's what happened to me," Dell said, "This thing made red smoke come out of it's mouth and it knocked me out. Glad you came."

"So you couldn't do anything?" Undyne asked in annoyance.

"I don't have a gas mask, ma'am."

The men stop in their tracks after losing sight of the hand.

"D*mn!" hissed Luke, then turns to Sans, asking Torial, "Is he OK?"

"He's asleep," she said before he woke up suddenly in fright and looked around quickly, before making a heavy sigh, "Are you ok?"

"am now...what a nightmare..." he said.

"Oh, that happens with the smoke too. Seem to not only put people to sleep but give them nightmares," Dell said, taking the tablet and attaching it to his belt.

The rest of my team wake up the same way, but Neutron or Nova as they just slowly wake up from hearing trouble.

None of the men of the group said anything to this, but were still glad that everyone was all right, more or less.

"I don't want to see that nightmare again..." I said to this.

Nova shakes it off and asked, "You see whatever that thing was that ran at us?"

"No did you?" I said, to see him shake his head.

"I didn't either," Neutron said, "I got to give this thing credit on getting past me."

"And me..." Chara said.

Dell looks around and said, "Wow, I stick out like a sore thumb. What year is it?"

"No," said Tikal.

"Uh, year?" asked Luke.

"Yeah. You look like you all from the future or something," he said.

"What do you remember?" I asked, getting to my feet, "In your past I mean."

"I remember WW2 ending, but I was in a different war afterward."

"What?!" Karson asked, "That's over a hundred years ago!"

"That answers my question then...d**n..." Dell said with a chuckle.

"So you came from 100 years from the past?!" asked Luke.

"That's what it sounds like," said Armstrong.

"Do you remember how you died?" I asked.

"Shucks...not really," he said, "You wouldn't believe me on how I stuck around however."

"I can tell you've seen it all," Nova said.

"Name it, seen it or made it."

"Made it?" Ivo asked, "Are you an engineer?"

"Yes sir. I take it you are too?"

"Great..." Sonic moaned.

"Not just. I am the great Ivo Robotnic!"

"What's that got to do with it?" Dell asked, not impressed.

[The Melee Master]

"You mean to tell me you've never heard of one of the greatest scientists ever to have graced your presence?" Jade quipped sarcastically.

"Uh, Jade," Palutena warned, "maybe now's not the time to be poking fun, especially with the likes of Robotnik."

"Don't get started with robots anyway. I had to deal with them trying to take out my team," he said.

"Wait, you had robots?! Back then?!" Nova asked.

"Before you say anything else, I didn't make them. The plans are all snuffed out by now anyway right?"

"this is the first we heard of this so..." Sans said.

"Good, too long to explain it anyway."

"I don't believe this..." Ivo said, in disbelief, "That's just not possible."

"Agreed. It shouldn't be real," Neutron said.

"You'd be surprised at what happens behind closed doors," Dell said.

"That I can believe," I said, "We know too well."

"Excuse me?"

"You'll understand in due time," Nova said.

"That you will," said Tikal and said nothing more on the subject.
