Another Dimension: Demonic Tempest

Many months pass since the last adventure and everything had finally settled down...well for the most part. Neutron as stated that he would always escape the jail's bonds would do so almost daily, but ends up appearing to check on the couple, Nova and Sophia on a few of those breakouts. Ralf and Clark stuck around themselves, not only to protect them, but to search for Rugal, whom was still missing. Ironically, the skeleton Sans also pops up once in a while to check on everyone, making sure no one sees his face, given the world they stood on with Marie, his new girlfriend. Gangrel caught up on everything that he learned and stayed with his mother and father, helping with Blathers, the museum's administrator in the animal crossing world. More so with the bugs that's donated to it.

The special day was coming soon for Nova and Sophia and everything was ready for the birth of the baby. Even though Sara was nearby to help, the good clone was getting nervous and not just for the child...

It was hard to believe that months had passed since the mirror debacles and everything was seemingly at peace for once. While James and his massive group of Smashers went home to relax at last, Sara, Jordan's wife, had remained with Nova and his family, to serve as a home nurse to assist Sophia and her pregnancy. This was her way of thanking them for helping her and her husband when they needed it most.

The two seers, Alvis, as well as Astor, had no where else to go, and with their abilities to see the future, they agreed to help keep Nova and his family safe, in exchange for a place to stay, even if temporary.

And then there was Jade Curtiss, Malkuth's 3rd division Colonel who was also serving the Cornerian Secret Service Unit. Fiddling with a hidden wrist communicator and hiding in a corner of a room, Jade was attempting to get into contact with the base one last time...

...because as embarrassing as it seemed, he had forgotten to inform them that he would be staying with Nova!

Nova started to pace around in worry.

"Will you calm down?" Sophia asked as I stood by.

"I can't," he said, "Something is going to happen and I don't know what..."

"You handled the last one with no problems and now-"

"It's not that."

"You sense something again?" I asked.

"Yes, and I fear for the baby...It feels familiar, but this is new at the same time."

"You got help everywhere," Gangrel said.

"I know!" he said, "But I feel like something bad is going to happen!"

"He's not wrong," Astor told everyone, lifting his head, "I've been getting that same sensation, even though I can't foresee anything yet."

Unfortunately, Alvis was unable to see anything himself.

Finally, a hologram popped up from his communicator, and Sparks Husky appeared, in his office, and he.looked.ANGRY.

"Finally got into contact with ya, Mr Curtiss!" he huffed.

"Sergeant, I-" Jade was stopped.

"Jeeze louize, Jade, you know it's been more than a month and this is the first time we've heard wind from you since we left?! The soldiers at Malkuth were all calling us and freaking out wondering where their colonel was and why they haven't heard from you!!"

"I'll have to tie loose ends with them another time," Jade replied calmly, "things have been too busy to check in with them."

"Busy, huh?" Sparks put his paws together and spoke flatly, "You fail to inform all of us that you would be staying with Nova and his family, and all you can say is that you were busy?!"

"So I forgot to inform you of my decision to remain here," Jade sighed, "even the highest ranking officers make mistakes."

"Aeon and Saint Germain made a massive mistake that put them in hot water," Sparks glared at Jade, "and they're not even suppose to make mistakes. YOU make a mistake, and..." he sighed, "Well, either way. it's a good thing your decision isn't a life or death matter."

"I'm sorry, but-"

"Don't bother apologizing to me, apologize to Malkuth Imperial Forces for giving them heart attacks," Sparks lowered his paws, "but, business is business, and we all must move on eventually. I'll forgive your mistake this one time, if you tell me WHY you decided to stay."

"I wish I could tell you, but it's..."

Sparks then understood and calmed down, "One of those 'listen to your gut' feelings, huh?"

"How's your luck on keeping me locked up?" Neutron's voice was heard nearby Jade.

[The Melee Master]

"Excuse me?" Sparks said, then turned around to see if anyone was there that he could talk to about that, "General Pepper!! Did you reci-General!!" He then turned around, "Sh!t, he isn't here right now! Well, you lucky bastard, looks like you got off easy, again!"

"Sir, we need to focus here," Jade told him.

"Mr Curtiss," Sparks regained composure, "do be aware that our mission, your mission, has come to a close. We will have no involvement of what you do with Nova and his group from here on out."

"That's exactly the point, sir,"

"You slick son of a gun..." Sparks chuckled, shaking his head, "that's twice now you've impressed me."

"I may be an ordinary soldier in your division, sergeant, but in my world, I'm a colonel of the highest rank, and leader of my division, like you, Mr Shepard, and General Pepper."

"Don't worry, I haven't forgotten your true status as colonel," Sparks reassured, "but when you work with us, you're an ordinary soldier taking orders from us sergeants. I've told you that before."

"I feel a 'however' coming on,"

"Indeed. You got my attention," Neutron said then thought, "Jade is going to have help soon. I feel the same as Nova right now..."

[The Melee Master]

"I'll get in contact with Malkuth Imperial Forces and let them know of your decision to stay, but after that, we will be cutting ties with you."

This surprises Jade, "What was that?"

"Feel free to get in contact with us, however, WE will not be contacting you on any grounds."

"Because you're afraid what Nova would say?"

"No, because the second we end this transmission, your ties with us will be severed as a safety precaution for every one of you, especially Nova and his family!"

"Now, after all this time?"

Sparks sighed, "James, Jordan, Fay, and Miyu, were our responsibility from the get-go, and therefore, we had to remain in contact with them at all times. You and Snake, on the other hand, may have been our responsibility as well, but you're tied with Malkuth, and Snake with Foxhound, MORE than you are with Corneria despite signed release documents, and therefore, we are given permission to sever ties from you when we feel the need."

"I agree full heartily," Jade nods, "but you're forgetting someone..."

"We never terminated Sara's contract with us," Sparks clarified, "if that's what your thinking. In fact, Jordan pleaded with us not to, despite trusting Nova and the others...but right now, she needs to worry about what's in front of her, with Sophia, rather than worry about the secret service. Make sure she knows that!"

"I'm sure she is highly aware," Neutron said before hearing crying from Sophia.

"I'm right here, you can do this," Nova's voice was heard.

[The Melee Master]

"All right then...looks like our time is up," Sparks said.

"Give everyone over there my regards," said Jade.

"And you as well. Good luck,"

The transmission link ended. Good! Now that his ties with the Cornerian military had been cut, Jade can finally put 100% focus on the current mission! Upon hearing Nova's voice, Jade turns to the direction.

"The child may be arriving," Astor said without looking in the direction of Sophia's crying.

"Do they need any help in there?" Jade asked with surprise.

"Unless you have experience in delivering a child, I say leave it to the medical here,"

"And that's one of my fields!" Sara told them as she runs, towels in her arms just in case, to assist Sophia.

Alvis, Astor, and Jade, remained in the main room to stay out of the way.

Neutron also runs up with Sara however, and the room Nova was trying to calm her down and said, while removing his right gauntlet, "Need a little help here!"

Neutron knew he shouldn't interfere or be in the way, so he waits for Sara.

[Shadow Dragon]

{I'll be able to stay tomorrow night, but tonight, I'm just going to post in the RP so that I'm not left behind. Sorry I couldn't make it earlier, I was exhausted after work! See you two tomorrow!}

The fact that Tikal, Armstrong, Luke, and the cloned swordsman warrior, remained with Dark Nova and the others, revealed that they had business that needed tending to, or they had no where to go themselves. Armstrong, of course, was one of those men, despite having paid his debt to Neutron already. Luke stayed behind because according to the clone's words, he got the tail end of the previous situation, and felt the need to help out further. And although Tikal was getting homesick by now, something inside him felt he should stay and see how this ends. And then there was the cloned warrior, who had no purpose other than to serve Neutron, not that he minded, but he still felt as though he had a hole in his heart begging to be filled with another purpose in life...aside from finding a name for himself, theoretically and literally.

All four men remained in the main area with the others who had chosen to stay, awaiting the outcome of Sophia's pregnancy, which neither one would be able to help with if they tried.

Neutron takes off his left gauntlet as this was going on, making up his mind and said to Sophia, "Grab my hand as well."

She does so, and both clones try to calm her down as she took breaths.

Sara arrives with towels and places them accordingly, and puts on a medical mask for the sake of the upcoming baby, then to Nova, "How's contractions?"

"They are pretty steady from each squeeze of her hand," he said.

"I noticed that as well," Neutron said, "I'm more impressed how she is handling it."

[The Melee Master]

Sara begins placing towels where they need, and kept one aside to wrap the baby in once delivered, "I've noticed. So far, she's the best out of all the patients I've had during pregnancy." Then her eyes sharpened, "OK, when the time comes, I want you to push as much as you can!" Unfortunately, it had been a while since Sara had dealt with pregnant patients, so even she was riding it out with instinct and luck at this point.

"I think that's now!" Sophia said, "I'm sorry if I hurt your hands!"

"I'll be fine," Nova said.

"As well as I," Neutron said before she started to cry out, "My ears on the other hand..."

"I wish I had something to ease the pain for you, Sophia," Sara told her, "but we're already too far along. Not much longer now, I hope. Let's keep going! Right when you feel the need, I want you to push for me, all right? You're doing great!"

Catching her breath she said, "That's what I'm doing!"

"Excuse that. She got this way before," Nova said.

"I think I see it," Neutron said.

"Well then keep doing what you're doing," Sara tries to calm her, "don't wait for me to say anything: just do it when you feel the timing is right. Can you do that much for me?"

She nods this time and gave a big push and the next thing we hear crying from a baby giving Sophia a heavy sigh of relief.

"You did it," Nova said, before trying to calm her down.

As they await the outcome of the event, Astor suddenly had a smile on his face. Jade was about to question him, but was beaten to the punch when he and Alvis heard him say, "And the child is here,"

Jade turns to the door on that note.

"What's the verdict?" Nova asked Sara.

[The Melee Master]

Sara calmly grabs the baby in her arms after doing the usual procedures like snipping the cord, and wrapping the baby in the blanket and cleaned it up a bit.

"Oh, what a beautiful baby girl you are," she smiled at the baby, walking over to give the newborn to Sophia, "thought you'd want to spend some time with her before I start running some tests. Nothing major, just a simple wellness check is all. We do this with every newborn."

"Of course," she said, holding the baby.

The child looks up at her, having Nova say, "She's got your eyes. Will you let me name this one?"

"Of course. You have one?"

"Scarlett."

"It's beautiful," she said trying to catch her breath, "That was harder on me more than her."

"You'll have to get a check-up too then."

Sara chuckled, "Having a 2nd child after the first, women say it gets easier. Although for some, that's not always the case." she sighs, "...of course, I wouldn't know. Jordan and I talked about it during our honeymoon years ago, about cubs, but...we've decided we're much too busy with our jobs to tend to cubs of our own. That little date will come eventually, but not for a while." She then shook her head, blushing a little, "Sorry. Anyway, yes, the wellness of both baby and mother are important. Again, it's just standard procedure. Nothing to worry about." Sara smiled as she turned to Nova, "Would you like to come with me to inform everyone on the newest arrival?"

"Of course," he said with a nod, "Lead the way."

Sara takes off her gloves and tosses them into a trash can, and walks out the room to wash up her hands and arms. Afterward, she exits the washroom and walks into the main room where everyone was at.

"So how's Sophia and the baby?" Jade questioned without skipping a beat.

A sigh escaped the nurse, "How'd you know already?"

"Did you forget my ability?" Astor told her with a smirk.

"Then that saves me the trouble," she said, then under her breath, "though ruined the surprise." Then back to the others, "The baby's a girl, and both are doing well. I just need to give them both some testing for a further wellness check. Would you all like to come see them while I set it up?"

"Is it wise for us to be there all at once?" Alvis asks.

"If Sophia doesn't mind the company," she smiled.

"Should have used Disable on you," Nova said about Astor, "I'm sure it's ok with her- hmm?"

That sudden change made me worry before he ran back upstairs.

"What a time!" I said.

Sara tried to perk back up, "It's OK, like I said, it saves me the trouble-hey!" she and the others see Nova run upstairs.

"What's going on?" Jade questioned, on alert as well.
