He remembers the moments where he had been defeated by the legendary hero, but he also remembers the great moment where he had finally revived his master. What he doesn't remember is hearing a word from his master after reviving him. No 'thank you', not even a 'you've done good'. No. The only 'thanks' he got was a dark sword being ripped from his chest, and his own laughter wasn't from satisfaction...it was to mask the physical pain he was attempting to endure. After all: showing weakness to a great demon like Demise was like a death sentence, and the spirit had been through enough. Once a spirit who existed to serve his master, now a true physical being who serves no one but himself. Not even his so-called master could control him again. He won't allow it after seeing him be defeated by...a mere kid, so his master wasn't as powerful as he once thought.
He was lying against an aged tree, in his dark colored form which now acted as armor, and his hand placed against his now bloody chest where the sword was forced out. How he became a being of flesh and blood? A moron of high expectations, someone who was looking for loot, found the sword pieces and reforged it to sell to a black market. The sword gave out energy waves that caused the man's death, and the spirit himself was reborn.
The man slowly got to his feet, his hand still covering the wound that would heal with time. Should he go after the boy who defeated him and his now-ex master? No, he would surely be defeated again. Should he locate his master and get payback? Yeah right, and have himself killed? It was possible, after all. No, all that mattered now is that he was free from being controlled, free from the dreaded blade, and that it was time to find a new purpose, a more reason to live...
...Something to take the still-living evilness of his heart out on.
(Present Day)
"Your not getting away!" a shadowy figure said as he was chasing after a wild deer within a forest. He ran as fast as his feet carried him, his claws ready to slash the animal once he got close enough.
The figure was Kouga, a wolf demon in human form, and he hadn't eaten anything for 3 whole days, so this was an opportunity he was determined not to miss out. The deer continued sprinting away, but was almost out of breath, and therefore, slowing down.

Nearby, I was resting with Ganondorf.
"You still get me wore out," I said.
"At least you're still ready," the clone said to me.

The deer continued to make it's escape, and Kouga continued to chase it. The scent of a human was near, as well as an unidentified specimen which smelt familiar, but wasn't sure who it was. The deer then leaped over a branch just a few feet from Ganondorf and Ganondorf2, and Kouga jumped onto a large tree branch, right above the animal.
"Got ya!" he said, jumping down and preparing his claws, slashing the deer's throat open and it fell on the grass in an instant.
Kouga flicked off a bit of blood from his claws. He grabbed the limp animal and lifted it over his shoulder, to take back into a cave he settled in for a while, then he looked over his shoulder and spotted the two.
"Well, long time no see. I was just getting myself some dinner. Care to join me?"

"Not thanks," I said.
"I can't eat meat sadly," Ganondorf said

"Suit yourself," Kouga turned around, but a bit of curiosity got the best of him. He looked over his shoulder again, the one which the deer wasn't on, "hey, not that it's any of my concern, but what are you two doing in the middle of nowhere like this?"

"We were training not long ago," Ganondorf said.

"Oh," he said, and turned back around, "well I got to get this back to my cave before it decomposes on me. See ya around, possibly."
Kouga dashed off, leaving behind a few harmless blue twisters that vanished a bit later. As the wolf demon finally reached his cave, he set the carcass down and began to skin it using the sword on his hip. Finally, it was good for something, he barely used it those years ago. He was careful not to cut any important stuff in the animal, as doing so would taint the meat.
***
In another part of the forest, far from where Kouga and the others were at, two people were training while a third was watching from a thick branch.
"I know you can do better than this!" a voice said, "Why are you holding back all of a sudden?"
Panting came from the other person and he rushed in, clashing swords with his training partner. He was then kicked in the chest, and while his armor prevented any possible injuries, it didn't stop him from falling to the ground.

I hear the metal clash, and looked around in confusion.
"What's wrong?" Ganon asked.
"I don't know," I said, "I thought I heard something."

Another clash sounded and the person fell to the ground even harder.
"Marth, if your going to take this training seriously, then do it!" a voice said.
"All right all right, I'm just not feeling...energetic right now," the ex-prince said.
"Well that's what you get for not eating breakfast this morning, huh? Eliwood and I told you-"
"Ephraim, are you going to pester me, or are we going to continue with the training?"
"How can we continue with you in such bad shape from starving yourself?"
"He's right, you know." Eliwood called down from the tree, "You can't be healthy if you skip meals like you do."
Marth sighed.

"Lets check this out," I said, and the clone nods before we get up and walk off to the sound.

"All right all right, I'll eat as soon as we finish this up," Marth said in a stubborn tone, standing with the help of his sword.
"No, I don't think that's a good idea." Ephraim said, "besides, we've been at this long enough. Let's just head back to my shack. I can make something there."
Eliwood jumped down from the tree, "Fine with me."
The three swordsmen walked in the direction Ganondorf and Ganondorf2 were headed.

Ganondof stops me then said, "Someone's coming."
We hide in the bushes for now until we know who it is.

The trio walked past the bushes, not noticing the two behind them, but the swordsmen's voices could still be heard.
"Though I wouldn't expect a gourmet dinner, since I'm low on money as it is," Ephraim said.
"Then we'll pitch in if you need anything," Eliwood said.
"We?" Marth asked, stopping in his tracks, "But...I'm flat broke!"
Eliwood and Ephraim stopped and turned around.
"I gave you 1000 yen not too long ago, what happened to all that?"
"I...spent it on sword repairs."
"1000 yen to fix a small Falchion? Are you serious, Marth?!" Eliwood asked.
Marth nodded, which made Eliwood facepalm.

"Then let's catch some fish while we're out here," Ephraim said, turning around, "a little improvisation won't hurt us, right?"
"If you say so," Marth said.
"I know where there's some huge fish we can get around here. It'll be enough for us to live off for three days, and that includes all courses of meals."
"I just hope I won't get sick of fish after a mere 3 days," Eliwood said softly to himself, picking up a pebble and chucking it in the bushes nearby.

I was hit on the head, held back on a yelp from it.
Ganondorf was about to chuckle to that.

"Um, guys, did you hear something just now?" Ephraim asked the two.
"All right, maybe we don't have to fish after all, if there's animals here." Marth said, taking his sword out and walking to the bush to investigate.
"Be careful, it might be a predator!" Eliwood warned.
Marth heeded the warning, but continued to walk over. Lucky for Ganondorf and Ganondorf2, he was looking in the wrong direction. He parted the bushes that were in his way, and looked around.
"No. Nothing but dead leaves. Can't eat those." he sighed and released the bushes, then walked to catch up.

"Yeah," Ganondorf whispered back.

"Find anything?" Eliwood asked him.
"No, nothing but leaves," he replied.
All three reached the edge of a really strong river.
"There's no way we can fish here." Ephraim said.
"Yeah, current's far too strong to do anything."
"Well, we tried at least."
Marth and Eliwood walked away from the bank to get back into the forest, and Ephraim was left behind. The rocks in the area were very slick, and as bad luck would have it, he felt his foot slip and plunged into the river. A scream caught the two's attention, and when they turned around, they saw that their friend had been swept away. The fast moving current had already taken him almost out of sight.
"D@mn it!!" Marth cried out in fear.
"No!"
Both swordsmen ran across the edge as fast as they could, hoping to catch up to Ephraim before anything happened. Not even a good swimmer like him could stand up against the current, but the least he could do was try to keep his head above water. The more he squirmed to do just that, the more exhausted his body became, and soon, he disappeared completely under the rapids.

We hear the cries then run ahead.
When we got there, we saw what happened to Ephraim and Ganondorf quickly went after him underwater.

"Ganondorf?!" Marth cried, seeing him dive n the water.
"Why is he here?"
Ephraim was still conscious, despite being under, but his body was taking multiple hits from the large rocks. He managed to break the surface to get a gasp of air, only for the water to push him back down. He smacked his back into a rock, this one stunned him and his chance to escape the dangerous waters by himself. His lungs felt they were on fire, but he was desperate to stay alive.

The waters were throwing his body around like a rag doll, but the swordsman got a glimpse of Ganondorf swimming over to him. Though he barely remembers the clone, he sensed that he could trust him anyway. Ephraim couldn't hold his breath any longer. His body instinctively took a gasp...of water, causing him to place his hands over his mouth and nose, gagging. Then he threw his hand out to grab a rock embedded in the river floor, trying to stop himself from being swept down further. Then suddenly, he let go, seemingly lifeless as he continued to be swept downstream.
Eliwood continued to run, trying to catch up with the two. He was about to dive in himself, if instinct didn't tell him otherwise.
"Sh!t, I lost sight of them!" he thought.

Ganondorf managed to grab him by the arm, before he was swept away again, then use his magic on Ephraim's neck to make him able to breath underwater for now, until they can get to land.
The clone pulls him close then swims to the surface quickly.

Eliwood quickly searched in the raging river, and a figure under the water caught his attention. At first, he thought it was a large fish, but having high hopes, he jumped onto a rock that was jetting out from the ground and high enough to not get wet, but low enough where he could grab anything that passed by. He held his arm out, ready to catch whatever was coming.
"Take my hand!" he called out just in case.

Eliwood used all his strength to pull Ganondorf to the shore, and he saw Ephraim drop to the ground, coughing up the water that was in his lungs.
"You!" he said to Ganondorf with a smile, "I thought so!"
"Yeah yeah," he panted, "go ahead...and tell me-ack! Tell me off!"
"No, not you...although you do deserve it."
Ephraim was shuddering from the cold waters now, so bad that he couldn't even bring himself to say 'thank you' to his rescuer.

Ganondorf had to catch his breath for a few seconds himself, then saw me running over.
"Thank goodness. You got him in time," I said.
"I acted first and not thought about it so sorry I got out sight."
"It's fine. At least you two are fine now."

"Well we were just resting from training not too long ago, when we heard a shout," I said, leaving out the part on us checking on them earlier.
The clone snaps his fingers and made a blanket appear before wrapping Ephraim with it.
