((Should we skip the fishing part and just let them come with the fish instead?))
"Now that you mention it...it must've been the great Demon King they talked about!"
"You know about him too?" Marth asked.
"Actually, it's in the book, but I couldn't translate it properly then. Only things I was able to get were...The Imprisioned, as they called him, was brought to justice when a hero stepped up and sealed him away for the final time." he said, "But one thing bothers me! The Demon King couldn't of gotten out by himself. If not then, how could he at the last moment?"
"Maybe he gained strength?"
"No... Something happened back then that the book didn't mention. I just know it!"

"I know the answer to that, when he was in his true form, he said that the spirit in his weapon was gone. I think that's what released him at that time," I said.

"Spirit?" Ephraim asked, "In a sword? ...I wonder why history would overshadow such detail, but I was right. There was another involved in the conflict after all."
"Do you know anyone else who knows more about what happened back then?" Marth asked, "Perhaps we can get better detail."
"I wish I did."

Five large fish were on the edge of the river bed.
"Think that's enough for now?" Eliwood asked Ganondorf as he cleaned the blood from his sword.

"The only way is to ask the demon himself," I said, "The story happened many years ago, so not many would remember or are still around."
---------------------------------------------
"I think so," the clone said, cleaning his weapon as well

"I see," Ephraim said.
"Confronting the demon king himself??" Marth asked, "I don't know if that's a good idea."
"No one suggested such a thing, and I wouldn't want to do it either."

Eliwood took as much fish as he was able to carry and headed back to the shack.

"Ganondorf had no choice, last time, to speak with the guy," I said.

"Need help with that?" Ganondorf asked as he held his catch and the bagged up snake.

"He was summoned one time, and the guy thought he could control him, but it back fired," I said, "The summoner is an old foe of ours. He tried to use him to destroy...Now that's a no, no for the demon."
-------------------------------------------------
"It's nothing," Ganondorf said, not stuggling.

"I can't tell which one would be worse." Ephraim said, looking out a window. He sees Eliwood and Ganondorf come back with arm fulls of fish, "And it looks like we have our dinner."
He turned to the fireplace to see it was still burning well.

Meanwhile in a nearby cave, Kouga tossed the bones aside after he was finished eating the deer. A low rumble was heard outside the cave.
"Oh what now?" he sheathed the sword and walked out to investigate.

Noticing his cloths where still wet, Ganondorf takes his armor off then his shirt and hangs it up to dry, and takes the 'crown' peice off the back of his head off as well, letting his hair fall.

Ephraim then grabbed a bucket that was sitting in the corner of the building floor and walked outside. He overheard Eliwood talking to Ganondorf.
"We should've stayed in the riverbed to clean the fish out before bringing them back here."
"Then why didn't you?" Ephraim said as he walked toward the two, "Don't worry, that's what I have this pail for. I'll go fetch the water from the river."
He walked into the shrubbery and disappeared.
"Guess we should start cutting them open while he's doing that." he looked at the fish piles, "Shouldn't take too long. We didn't catch much since the fish were big enough...right?"

"Wait, what's in there?" I asked.
"A little friend. Don't open it though."

"It's a copperhead," Eliwood said to Ganondorf2, "found it while we were looking for food." He pulled out a pocket knife from inside his boot and got started gutting the fish. Ephraim came back with the water and set it down next to the fish piles. Marth picked up a sulfer shelf mushroom and looked at it.
"Are you sure these are safe to eat?"
"Of course they are," Eliwood said, rinsing the fish out after tossing the insides to the ground, "but whether you want some or not is your choice. I just thought we'd find more than just fish, you know?"
"Speaking of safe, I'd keep an eye out on predators if we're cleaning the fish outside like this," Ephraim said, "this may be a safe area, but it's not 100%. Just the other night, I've seen a really huge wolf snatch up leftovers I had of a rabbit near my shack."

"In the wolf's eyes, the dog is a bitesize snack, Ganondorf," Ephraim said, though he had no idea of what Ganondorf's dogs actually were, "that's how big it was. Black and brown wolf with glowing blue eyes.""Sounds like the kind of-" Marth stopped to think, "Black and brown with blue... wait a minute!! That was..." *** Kouga sniffed the air to see if he could get a scent of anything suspicious in the area.
"Well, this is odd, I guess this place was playing tricks on me."Another rumble interrupted him and he felt the ground beneath him rise up. Kouga managed to jump away before the ground crumbled and revealed a creature. "No trick! So it was you making all that commotion, huh?"One of the scorpion's pincers reached out and tried to snatch Kouga, but he jumped away before he was grabbed. "Ugh, I don't think so, you ugly monstrosity!!" he said and prepared to fight. The scorpion lets out a screech and snapped it's pincers, ready to fight Kouga.

"It must've been Kouga," Marth said.
"Kouga, who's that?"
"He's a wolf demon who comes and goes. I met him about a year ago."
"A...demon? I don't like the sound of that."
***
The scorpion used it's pincers to break away the ground and hid itself under again.
"Ugh, this is going to be a pain, but whatever,"
It's tail shot from the ground and threw itself at Kouga, only to have the wolf demon dodge.
"Your no match for my fast reflexes, ugly," he sneered. Right when the monster surfaced, Kouga aimed his fist at it's head, coming down toward it and punching it.
The scorpion's hard spiky shell caused Kouga more pain than itself. After he backed off, groaning, one of the pincers charged to snatch him again, but the wolf demon quickly reacted by kicking the eye inside the pincer, making it screech in pain.
"So the eyes are it's weakpoints." he thought.

"Still, I'll have to meet him,"
"You'll get use to him, I'm sure."
***
Kouga continued his battle with the giant scorpion-like monster. One more slash of his claws, and the right eye on it's right claw was destroyed.
"How do you like that?" he asked, shaking away the residue from the eye.
The monster snapped it's other pincer shut and proceeded to attack Kouga with it's tail, but kept stabbing it into the ground thanks to Kouga dodging it every time.
"If you want to win this fight, then get with the program!" he continued to taunt, until he was smacked in the face with the one claw, sending him tumbling across the ground. Kouga stood, wiping a bit of blood from the corner of his mouth.
"Your asking for it," he took his sword out and ran it through it's other pincer eye when it tried to snatch him again. Now all that was left is the middle eye. Kouga was lifted off the ground thanks to not getting his sword free in time, and was thrown back down, the sword impaling the ground right next to him.
The monster smashed it's pincer into the ground, but the wolf demon was able to roll out of the way, snatching back his sword in the process.

Both swordsmen didn't say anything, and they weren't sure whether to follow or not.

Kouga slid across the ground on his feet. As he came to a stop, he fell on one knee, panting.
"That thing's tougher than I hoped," he said. Instinct told him to turn his tail and run, and that's exactly what he did, but the monster snatched him again with it's one claw, trying to crush him now.

That's when a blast of light hits the scorpion in the main eye.

The monster released Kouga after taking the hit to the eye. He lands on his feet, but stumbled as he did. The scorpion's eye was now red with anger, and it dug it's way underground.
"Perfect timing," he said to Ganondorf, "I thought those things can only dig through sand. Guess it's no surprise since I fought monsters like this before."
He felt the vibrations of the scorpion under his feet, and prepared himself if it popped out of the ground.

The ground started to crack and out popped the black monster. Kouga jumped onto it's back to try to punch it's eye, but was shaken off. It reached out it's good claw and tried to snatch Ganondorf.
