"Like I said-" Brian replied, "that would come in handy!"

"I don't know..." Tristan was hesitant.

"Hey, 'use everything at our disposal', remember?" Brian slapped his hand on Tristan's left shoulder, "because they will, then we're in trouble!"

"All right," Tristan rolled his eyes, "I just hope you know what you're doing."

"No room for doubts now, Tristan," Zali told him.

"They know what's going on anyway," I said to end it.

"Good," said Kyle, and neither one of us said anything else to that.

"Now then...what's the plan?" Andrew asked.

"Whatever big guy is finished with, or Archion tries his hand again," I said simply.

"No doubt he might," sighed Zali, "if I know his type."

"Indeed," sighed Brandon, "all we can do is keep our guard up and prepare for a possible surprise attack."

I got a call on my cell phone and said, walking away, "Excuse me."

Maxwell started to think.

"So what do we do now?" asked Zelos to everyone.

"Hell if I know," shrugged Zali.

"What's that?" my voice could be heard, "Not again...hasn't that man learned anything about Nova? I swear... I'll let him know unless he does already..."

I hung up and called his cell next and, sure enough, he knew about it and I got a text saying, 'already on it'

"Or we get the jump on them instead of waiting for them to attack us first," Melee suggested, even though doing that last time didn't seem to help much.

Zali looks over at Ganondorf2 and calls out, "Something wrong?"

I was surprised by that, but I shrug it off quickly and asked, "Did I ever ever tell you about this old officer named Ayden? He's been after Nova for a long while."

"What for?" Athena asked.

"Heck I know. Ever sense he's been around, helping people, the guy wants to either catch him to lock him up or wanting him dead."

That made Zali raise an eyebrow, "Why the hell would someone want to be after a good Samaritan for that?"

"Jealousy," I simply said, "If only he saw the other side of the coin...but from what I've been hearing, he's always like that."

"It's sad..." Sophia said.

"Amusing to me," Maxwell said with a smirk

"Jealousy never gets anyone anywhere," Zali shook his head, "so why do humans keep such a grudge, I may never know."

"Stubbornness, I guess," sighed Kyle.

"You hit the nail on the head," I said to Kyle.

"And we have a dragon that seeks to kill the prince in vengeance for how many years?" Maxwell asked to this, "It's not just humans that can be that...determined."

"I meant having a grudge of jealousy," Zali told Maxwell, "that vampire wants the prince dead because of-"

"Revenge on my bloodline," said Brandon, "and since I'm the last, it's no wonder why I'm the one being targeted, and quite possibly, my kingdom may be in danger as well. That's what I fear more than anything!"

"And I still believe it's a load of rubbish," Zelos told them, "I mean being after you for revenge on a war you had nothing to do with, but of course, we won't get answers by standing around making assumptions either."

"My point stands. Both are human actions and emotions. Sadly dragons can have them as well. I wonder how long it will take for him to realize that even if he gets what he wants, all it takes is a clone of the person he killed to suddenly show up?" Maxwell said turning to me, "And you made clones from what you see and remember...Ganondorf2...He might kill you first before going after the rest."

"If he can stop big guy first," I said

"And to go after any of my gang won't bode well with me, either," snarled Zali, "the safety of my team come first, and that includes the rest of you as well."

"Yeah, wouldn't want another one of our own missing out on the fun," Brian shook his head.

"We'll be fine," Tristan told Zali, "but I don't know about Sparky..."

"What the hell is that suppose to mean?" Sparky jumped up.

"Compared to us dragons, if not for that soul sword, or whatever it's called that you're borrowing, the clan can and will rip you and the other humans apart like tissue,"

"So then why are you bugging me and not them?!" Sparky points to Zelos and Vincet.

"I can hold my own, thank you very much," Zelos replied with a sharp stare.

Vincet didn't reply.

"Human or not, no one gets left behind," Zali replied, "but you'd better be careful all the same."

"Of course," sighed Sparky.

I turn to Maxwell with a sharp look in my eyes, "Big words for a mighty dragon unable to defeat a small clone," of course I'm sure with Maxwell, I was walking right into a minefield with my words, but at the time, I didn't care.

"Hate to say it, kid," admitted Zali to me, "but the demon dragon might be right."

I sigh to this, but said no more on the subject.

The dragon makes a short laugh before we heard, "Come on out clone! I know you are in there!"

I sighed and said, "He's out Ayden. I have no idea how you got here without getting killed, but-"

"Shut it with the lies!"

The door gets kicked out an a gruff looking man walked in.

"I beg your pardon!" Athena shouts at him.

"Where is he or else I'll shoot up the place!"

This surprises us, but before we could get a word in, we see the door being kicked in and a man walking inside. This makes Brian glare at the man, "Excuse me, but who the hell do you think you are barging in like that?!"

"Where's who?" asked Tristan.

"Some nerve," agreed Ed with Brian.

I didn't say anything, but kept up my guard all the same. Brandon and Zali could tell that the man could be trouble, but didn't speak.

"Ganondorf, of course! Or Nova whatever the hell he's called. Where is he?!" he demanded, "My men have an itchy trigger finger."

"I told you he's not here. You always do this when we have something major going on with us," I said, getting annoyed.

"That so? You trying to hide him?" he asked not believing me.

"Hard to hide someone that big..." Athena snickered and I do the same.

"Sorry sir," Brandon stepped up, "but she speaks the truth."

"Although since we now know you want to kill him-" Zali stood up and looks at Ayden, "-what makes you think we're just going to hand him to you?"

"Zali," whispered Luke with clinched teeth, "we left our guns at home, remember?"

"We really don't know where he is right now," even Sparky tries to reason, or lie, with the man to avoid getting him and the others shot, "and quite frankly, we're getting worried about him just the same."

"If that's the case, I'll just wait here," he said, taking out a cigar but didn't light it yet. Holding it between in his fingers he continued, "Don't try anything. I know what he's like and he knows what I'm like. I want to know what he did a couple of weeks ago."

"A couple of weeks ago? Where?" I asked.

"He didn't tell you? There was a fire as well explosion at a hospital near New York. Leads are going to 'Nova' and him only."

"Now hold on, my husband was with me the whole time!" Sophia asked.

"Tell that to witness at the scene. Tall figure. Over six feet in height."

"Never been to New York either," Tristan told him.

"Out in the daylight or darkness?" Bowser asked as the man lights up the cigar with a match.

"Darkness, what else?" he said, waving the match to put it out again, "Some equipment was taken from there. Why, I want to know."

"Detective?" a voice was heard.

"In here and don't do anything...not yet at least."

"That what I get when I try to solve a different case." Sophia sighed, talking about Brandon.

"So now we have to take a side gig to help this guy?" asked Brian.

"As long as that clan leaves us the hell alone while doing it, I don't care," Ed replied.

"Note what I said," Sophia said, "I was sent to solve a case of my own. A small village and it deaths."

"Now you got my attention. Makes me wonder if it's connected."

"Doubt it. Two different places and too far between," I said.

"I've been that man's speed..." Ayden said.

"Just stop it. You're looking for an excuse for locking Nova up!" Sophia said getting fed up.

"I'm going by witnesses on this one, so get off!"

Bowser sighed and asked, "What were the witnesses?"

"A couple. Early thirties. They were shook up something terrible."
