"Doesn't tell me anything," shrugged Zali.

"Detective! We got a problem!" the same voice was heard a moment later.

"Now what?!" Ayden said walking out the same way he came in and said, "What the? Came back to cause more trouble? Wait...what are you?!"

"We better get out there..." I said, and my team nods before we do just that.

My team and I didn't say anything as we follow.

As we open the door, shots rung out as the officers fire what looks like a minotaur of sorts, roaring at them.

"Uh do you get these around here?" I asked Brandon

"Whoa!" shouted Brian.

Brandon nods, "Sure do, although they're pretty rare."

"I'm guess this one didn't get the memo..." I said as it swung many men off the platform before roaring at me to which I say, "You better not target me..."

It was about to, when it heard something coming in fast at the minotaur by the sound of an explosion and I continue, "I warned you."

Just then the monster was hit and carried off by Nova toward the ground the below before we got a chance to react.

"What in the name?!" Athena asked in surprise.

"Course he comes into save you..." Ayden said.

Nova jumps away as the monster tries to back hand him out of the way as it got up.

The rest of us stood back as we watched.

"When you say rare, as in stays out of things or what?" I asked Brandon again about the minotaur.

Ganondorf got ready for anything it throws at him as it roars at him.

"This will make a good show..." Maxwell said, getting Ayden's attention, making him do a double take.

"Rare as in they are rarely seen in the common areas, especially where the humans live," Brandon replied as he watches what was going to happen, "the dragons in the area make sure to keep them out."

"Looks to me this one was disturbed, making it fight for survival," I said, the clone making note of the info, changing his stance.

The minotaur charges at him, Nova getting ready and said, "Didn't think I was going to tango with a minotaur. Heck, first for me."

"Quit wasting time..." Maxwell said as the clone just steps aside.

The rest of us kept our distance as best as we could and watched.

It swung at him to see the fist get blocked and caught, the clone pulling it hard and fast to clothesline it with his arm. It shook the blow off and got up to turn to face the clone again, now stepping side to side to make it hard to read what he was going to do next. It readied itself before charging again.

"What the name is he doing?" Ayden asked.

"Trying to wear it out," I said, "The thing is, big guy has extremely high energy so this is his less damaging way to stop a fight. He doesn't want to kill."

"I say with that thing, he should," replied Tristan.

"Just wait a moment," Brandon told him, continuing to watch.


{I'll see you later. Didn't realize it was 11:30 here already.}

"Well, providing he doesn't taunt to rile it up again..." I said.

Thankfully he doesn't do that, as a matter of fact when it charged again, not only does it miss, but Ganondorf hits it just with two fingers at a spot of it's chest as it passed him and it fell down, out cold, and said, "Sleep tight."

"What just happened?" Athena asked, Ayden just as stunned.

"Never mind! He used pressure points this time," I said.

"Pressure points?"

"Yeah, all animals, humans, you get the hint, have them. Just enough to knock them out, but too much can kill or handicap."

"Now then," Nova said, before looking up at Brandon, "Where do you want me to put him?"

"The minitour?" questioned Brandon as he looked at the monster, "Hmm, if you don't want to kill it, then we have dungeons underground and we can chain them up, but they haven't been used in a while, so I'm not sure if they can hold creatures like this one now."

"Are they a protected species in your kingdom like you dragons or something?" questioned Sparky.

Brandon shook his head, "I said minitours were rare, but certainly not protected."

"Oh, thus why they're rare..."

"Duh!" Ed quipped.

"Well my question is that you think the minitour would attack us again if left alone?" Tristan stepped up, "Or one of your villages? And what if the clan finds out about it and attempts to control it for their own use?"

"That's why I can't decide whether to keep it alive or destroy it, so for now, let's put it where it won't cause trouble," Brandon finally said, "we'll figure out the rest later."

"I say kill it, butcher it, and feed it to the peasants,"

"Nah, even the low class folk deserve better than this," said Brian, "besides, it looks like the meat on that thing would be way too tough."

Sparky rose a hand and turns away in disgust, "I'll pass, thanks."

"Yeah, but last I checked, you're no peasant, Sparky,"

"And neither are any of you,"

Nova thinks and says, "I'll put it in one of our cells then. Shouldn't cause problems there. Be right back."

He picks up the massive beast before disappearing with it.

"That actually might be a better idea," I told Brandon about putting the beast in Nova's cell instead, "it might be more guarded anyway."

"And perhaps stronger," Brandon agreed, "though I am sorry for not being helpful about it at this time."

"Hey, you said minitour's are rare around your lands, right?" Zali chimed in, "I'd say that's a good enough reason. Better safe than sorry."

"Besides that, your home has enough problems with the clan, remember?" Sparky places a hand in one of his jacket pockets.

Nova reappeared on the ledge once more and said, "Done. I don't think you have to worry now." He hears a click a moment later and sees that Ayden put a cuff on Nova's right wrist as well himself before looking at him asking, "Ayden?"

"You're not getting away this time," he said.

"What now...?"

"Thank you," Brandon nods, just before he sees Ayden cuffing the clone.

"Hey, what the hell are you doing?!" Luke shouts at the man.

At first, this surprised me as well, but then I let out a small smirk, remembering Nova getting out of situations before. As if that cuff is going to hold him... I then see the draconic gang, including Sparky but minus Zali, surround Ayden and Nova, ready to attack him all at once.

"You'd better get him go," Brian cracked his knuckles, "unless you want the bones in your face reconstructed."

"Don't make it worse guys..." Ganondorf said with a sigh, "Least tell me why you're doing this."

"Because of eyewitnesses saying they saw you at the hospital before it was blown up! Don't act stupid," Ayden said.

"How many hurt...?" he asked with a sigh again.

"40 hurt, 10 presumed dead at the scene!"

"I wasn't there, I was with my wife at the time."

"Stop your lying, Ganon!"

The tone he used in the nickname, didn't bode well with Nova and he lifted his right arm, and the detective attached by the cuffs and the clone said, in a threatening tone, "Don't...use that name...ever again."

Brandon stepped in now, "I don't see any reason why he would lie about this, so maybe we can figure this out without causing anymore trouble."

"Doesn't help that he's a clone of the 'king of evil' of the same name! I didn't mind when he helped people out, but I heard of what he's a copy of..."

"Even after all these years, you still don't trust me?" Nova asked lowering his arm slowly again, so Ayden could stand on the ground, "OK, I can understand if it was a couple of years ago with my problem, but I'm good now."

"Problem?"

"Phazon problem."

"Phazon?" questioned Ed, "What's that?"

"Let's just say, you won't be the same if you are in contact with it," I say to it, "Big guy was born in the stuff, but even that doesn't help in the long run."

"Is it a poison?" Athena asked.

"Something like that," Maxwell said, "I have a deadlier version, which showcases it by color. His is blue mine is orange."

"It causes people to either mutate, go mad, or die," Bowser said.

This made the female dragon regret asking.

"Sounds like it could be used to our advantage," said Zali.

"Yeah," said Luke, "I wouldn't want to be the one to f*ck around and find out with that stuff."

"Only if it's liquid or a gas. When it's solid, it's harmless," Nova said, tapping on his gauntlet, "Harder than any substance known to man too."

"That explains the change back in looks," Athena said about the armor.

"Kinda?"

"Change? Wait did you evolve again for something?" Ayden asked.

"This will take a long time to explain, so to cut it short, yes in a way."

The gang and I just sat and listened, not knowing what to make of this.

"Wait, you said yours is blue?" Ayden asked.

"Yes, why?" Nova asked before kneeling to his level, seeing that he was trying to get a notebook. The cuffs didn't help the detective.

"Let's see...It's been said there was a residue left at the scene as well, but it wasn't blue or orange...it was green."

"Green?" I asked, "I've never heard of phazon being green before."

I started to think before asking, "Any report of acid burns?"

"Way ahead of you, but it's still being tested," Ayden said, then to Nova, "In the meantime, you're staying with me!"

"Fair enough," the clone said, starting to check his gauntlet, his right hand now free without the detective's knowledge.

I start to snicker.
