Brandon takes the stretcher and drags it back into the room, with Tikal following him to help out, while Jackie and I head outside in preparation for this unfortunate event.

"Big guy..." my voice was heard behind Ganon, making him stop and turn asking, "What's up? Something wrong?"
"I'm bugged by what happened. If that bad clone, speaks the truth, Zephon will be alive...but..." I said, knowing we are alone.
"I know...I don't like this fact either. Might be best to think about that later though.
"Agreed...though, should we tell them about me?"
"Best not, they would think it's mad, or a lie, you were revived many times with no problems," he chuckled, "Now come on, I don't like it, however..."
"Right, lets go," I said, and help Nova with the wood, before following him to the area.

Vormen was seen exiting the castle next, wanting to attend this in person instead of watching through an object like Torvan was forced to do. After he stopped in front of us, I spoke up.
"We thought you were going to stay with your father for this,"
He shook his head, "He told me it'd be better if I attend this. I really don't want to, though."
"No one wants to do this," I said gently, "but...he was our friend, and if we want closure, then we got to."
Vormen lets out a dry chuckle, "Closure. Right... You tell me just how watching our friend's body being burned to ash is considered closure for any of us."
There was some hurt in his voice, and I didn't have it in me to tell him off after hearing it. I also didn't have an answer for him. I looked out of the corner of my eye to see Brandon and Tikal, both carrying the stretcher that held the body, toward the area.

Once everything was set up, Brandon and Tikal proceeded to lift the stretcher and set it on top of the combustional bed. Jackie grabs some loose foliage and throws it on Zephon's body, for good measure, then he backed off.
"All that's left is the fire," said Tikal, "or would you like to have another moment?"
Brandon closed his eyes while Jackie, Vormen, and I, remained silent.

Since Melee Master and her group didn't know the swordsman as well as everyone else did, they didn't really care what was done.
"Do what you want," said Inuyasha in a gentle tone.
Melee Master sighed gently, staring at the ground as she calmly waited for this to get going.

"There is one thing...the medallion we took away from Zemus..." Ganondorf said.
Aeon walks out the castle behind us, with such item, and gives it to the clone, and said, "I don't think it can be destroyed. I asked Demise to help me, but..."
"All we can do is try," he said as he tries to place it on Zephon's chest as well as the medallion to honor he had for him, only to find out the healing one wasn't going anywhere and flew out of his hands, and lands on the ground, "What the?"
"I'm sorry to say, that was the result too..."
" OK..." I then say, not sure what to make of it.

Ganondorf says nothing to that, makes a small chain appear and ties it around his neck at first, then looks at me before giving it to me, saying, "I think you need this more then me. You suffer your fair share of deaths."
"Is that wise?" I said, look at it.
"I know so," he adds, and I nod to it, "Does anyone want to say a few words, before I start?"

"I just can't think," Roy said softly, on the verge of tears, "I'm very sorry, everyone."
"I'm...gonna have to pass on this, too," said Melee Master, "I'm not good at this kind of thing."
Inuyasha sighed, "I wish I had something in place for those two who can't seem to get any useful words out."
Luckily, Roy and Melee Master didn't have it in them to clobber the demon dog.

Choked up and unable to speak myself, I quickly shook my head.
"I have nothing to say that's already been said before he passed," Brandon said sadly.
"...It still isn't fair," Jackie choked out, who was still upset over the fact that he was able to see Zephon alive for such a short time after his own revival.
"I'm sorry, but I...I just can't think right now, so do what you have to," said Vormen regretfully.
Tikal lets out a gentle sigh, "You risked your life...even accepted your own fate without a single hint of fear... You did what I was unable to do when it was dire: save a life at the risk of your own. Had I not have hesitated, you'd still be with us right now-"
"Tikal, it's not your-" Brandon was stopped.
"-and for that, I'll forever hold great respect for you. Where ever you are, may peace always be with you." A sad look could be seen in his eyes, but nothing more.

The flames creep up on the pile until they reached the foliage that was on Zephon's body. That enabled the fire to burn the body more effectively. Soon, the fire obstructed our view as it covered his body, slowly doing it's job.
My group remained silent.

Torvan had been watching this with the device that was given to him. After he couldn't take anymore, he slowly set the item down onto his chest and sighed.

The many clones came out to watch and bow, while Ganon and I stay close to each other.
"It's not over," Nova said, "He will be back..."

"The ashes should be taken care of after the fire dies down," said Tikal, "no more risks should be taken with him."
"What do you mean?" asked Vormen.
"Oh...never mind," he shook his head and turned around, quickly changing the subject, "I'm heading back to the castle to bid my farewells to Torvan."
"Wait," I said after regaining my composure myself, "you're leaving?"
"There's nothing more for me to do here," Tikal explained, "so yes, I plan to, very soon."

"Remember Tikal, we might need help eventually," Nova said, "I fear what I said will be true, if Zephon comes back...but as a foe, not a friend."
"I hope that doesn't happen!" I said.
"With the new threat, don't keep your hopes up."

"And I'll be ready when it happens," he said.
"Wait, what do you mean?!" I ask.
"I just can't stop thinking about that," said Brandon, slowly lowering his head, "that sounds very similar to what Seles went though."
That familiar name struck me cold, "What?"
"Don't you remember? I do. Seles claimed that...things from his past, betrayals and so on, turned him into a dark person, with no chance of redemption. Is that what's going to end up happening to Zephon, if something of that evil nature gets a hold of him?"
"No, it can't!"
"Or is it...a clone like Ganondorf; a separate entity?"

"Mind if I answer that?" a voice was heard, sounding like the clone we know, behind us.
My team turns to the voice, to see the same clone, laying on a branch of a near by tree, that attacked us, and Aeon earlier, making even the time keeper get ready. The man adding, "Are you about done with this sorrow? Or do I have to wake you up?"
"You!" I shout.

Even though fury was slowly building inside Tikal at this point, he managed to hold it back, in fear that everyone would be hurt if he unleashed it upon the evil one.

The dark clone jumps down, and said, mocking a little to the demon dog,"I know...I'm a little early, what can I say? I know you mean well to burn the body, but you're late on that, aren't you?"
"You better not think of cloning him," Ganon said, in a threatening tone.
"Think? I'm doing it. Try and stop me."

"You bastard!!" shouted Inuyasha, taking his sword out and unleashing a powerful Backlash wave attack at the evil clone.
Roy didn't hesitate either, taking his own sword and throwing a blast of fire, while Melee Master shot off a blast of purple hued fire at the clone, too.

The dark one stayed put, letting the fire hit him, but shields himself of the Backlash Wave, with his cloak, pushing back a bit saying, while letting the cape rest down his back once more, "Is that all? How boring."

Everyone was in a bad position to deal with this, and it wasn't the time to deal with anymore problems while trying to find closure for a fallen comrade. All of us didn't make a move, however.

Ganondorf didn't move either, then remembered what happened earlier and asked, "Wait a minute...why are you back anyway? You already took the DNA sample from him!
