"I'm happy to disappoint them, but I'm sick of fighting," was all I had to say.
Tikal said nothing to that, and Brandon silently agreed, though he was a bit defensive around Maxwell and Zemus now.

Ganon pulls of the dark medallion and asked, Maxwell, "You want to be sealed with Zemus?"
The dragon growls and said, "No..."

"...Are we going to get this over with or not?" I ask.
"As soon as we find that there's nothing else to worry about," Brandon answered gently.

"Excuse me?" I ask Ganondorf, only to be interrupted by Brandon.
"All right, then if everything else is taken care of, then let's get this over with," he said.
"What about Torvan?" I ask, "Shouldn't he be a part of-" I stopped after seeing Vormen shake his head.
"He can't move, and he didn't want to take any more risks," he said, "so he chose to remain where he's at."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes."

"It's a choice," said Brandon to Melee Master, "especially if you didn't know that person very well. I both understand and respect whatever decision you make." He walks over to Vormen and hands the device to him, "Would you?"
"I'm on it," he replied, walking to the room where his father was being held.
The white dragon lets out a steady sigh, "Now, anyone who wants to help, and can handle it, let's go." He had learned his lesson this time.

Slowly, Brandon opened the door, and walked inside. He took notice of Metroid Prime.
"We're preparing this right now," he simply said, slowly walking toward the bed where the body laid, "the sooner, the better."
In his heart, he didn't really want to do this, but he didn't speak of it. It had to be done one way or another, and that's all there was to it. Then he decided to wait on anyone that wanted to help out with this portion of the job, especially since he had forgotten to make a stretcher to carry the body outside. A small pain in his chest was evident by the look on his face. It was then Brandon realized that making these kind of preparations alone, was eventually going to emotionally kill him in the end. If he couldn't handle the deaths of his father, sister, and his old friend before his revival, then what the hell made him believe he could do this to another friend?
Finally, the prince openly admitted, "With or without help, I can't do this!"
He walked toward the door, placing his hand on it in preparation to leave the room, but he stopped himself. He moved away from the door and turned to face the wall, pressing his forehead against it, saying, "What was I thinking?"
If he couldn't handle the deaths of his past allies, then what made him think he could handle preparations with one?
"Come on, I need to stay strong. I've made it this far..." he thought, clinching his fists, "...and I can't lose focus now. It has to be done!!"

Ganondorf enters now and saw this, clearly Brandon is emotionally stuck at this time and he asked, "Do you need help? I know you're upset, heck, so am I, but even I have stay on the task."

{Emotional wise, it's getting difficult for me to keep this up. Good lord... So I apologize for being slow}
Brandon takes in and lets out a couple breaths, then he paused to try and calm himself.
"Please..." he said softly, trying to maintain his composure, "if you will. I...I've been so caught up with this, that... In all honestly...Ganondorf...I don't handle death too well," he admitted, "especially over those I grow close to. Everything about it...the pain...everything...just now came flooding back to me. That's why...I'm hesitating, out of all the times to. Doing it on my own...I don't know if my heart can take much more." he takes in a shaky breath before continuing, "I'm very sorry."
However, he said he was going to do this, and he wasn't about to back out on it himself, regardless of his emotional state.

((I haven't killed a character of mine off, yet, but I'm willing to bet that every author who kills off their characters go through the same emotional conflict. Don't ask me why or how, but personally, I believe that's a good thing.))
Nothing was said from the three as they waited to be instructed to do their part.
