Chapter 25

"Claus!!!!" Lucas shouted, running over to his brother and hugged him.

"Ack!" Claus exclaimed as he tried to breathe.

"I don't believe it! Your alive! I must be dreaming; I can't believe it!"

"Whoa, easy there, Lucas." Ness said.

Claus hugged his brother back, "I'm ok, there's no need to worry."

Lucas felt like crying, but he tried to be strong for Claus's sake. The two pulled away from each other.

"How is it possible?!" Lucas asked.

"I...I was sworn not to tell," Claus said with regret.

"But why?"

"I just can't."

Ness felt his stomach drop as he sensed something approaching them, "Guys?"

"You don't know how much I missed you, brother!"

"I missed you, too."

"Guys?" Ness said again.

"I can't wait for you to meet the others!" Lucas said.

"Yeah, but before we do, I want to-"

"Guys?!"

"What?!!" Lucas and Claus shouted.

The Ultimate Chimera bursts out from the ground right beneath them before Ness had the chance to warn them of it's presence. They scrambled away from it as quickly as possible.



"That thing's still here in New Pork?!" Claus panted.

"Yeah," Lucas said.

"As much as I like New Pork, I don't want to stick around with that thing!" Ness said, "I know another place we can go! Follow me!"

Ness took off and the two brothers followed after him.

A large ship was seen flying through the red sky.



Inside it, Meta Knight was busy trying to find a place to land it. A sudden vibration rocked the skip, throwing him off the wheel. Metaknight rushed over to the main controls and looked at a screen that showed every room on the ship.

"Someone's trying to come aboard here," he said to himself.

Metaknight threw the ship on auto-pilot and rushed down from the control room. He stopped in one of the main halls and looked around.

"I checked every room before I took off," he thought, "I even set the alarm system! There shouldn't be anybody on board...unless they disabled it!"



Metaknight made his way back into the control room and changed the Halberd's course. He then made his way on top of the ship and looked down, spotting the floating platform where the battles are held.

"What's this?"

He also spotted a lone figure on the platform. Metaknight jumped down and the figure turned around.

"What are you doing here?" the person asked.

"Were you the one trying to come aboard my ship just now?"

"Yeah, what of it?"

"State your reason!"

The figure, who turned out to be Wolf O Donnel, crossed his arms, "Fine, but before I do, answer me this; do you know where Fox is?"

"Fox?"

"I heard he came aboard this ship, so I snuck on to find him."

"Why do you need to see him?"

Before Wolf could answer, a large penguin like creature crashed down onto the platform from a warpstar.

"Dedede?!" Meta said.

"That's right!" he answered.

Wolf rolled his eye, "Why are you here, tubby?"

"Hey, don't you be calling me tubby, fur face!!"

"Why you..."



"If your looking for Kirby, he's not here," Meta said, trying not to let them fight.

"Why would I be looking for that puff ball?" Dedede asked, "besides, I overheard someone saying that they're trying to get rid of us, so I went to investigate."

"Don't make me laugh," Wolf said, "out of everyone here...well, besides Bowser and Ganon, why would you care about what happens to us?"

"I help you defeat Tabuu, didn't I?"

"He's right," Meta said, "he did help us out that time."

Wolf didn't say anything, seeing that he wasn't part of the event that took place a couple years ago. The platform began to shake.

"All right, we must be landing," Wolf said, "but where did you set it to?"

Before Meta could answer, the ship took a sudden dive toward the area. Dedede and Wolf lost their footing and fell from the ship, while Metaknight maintained his hold. The ship crashed into a large stone pillar and Metaknight then lost his hold, causing him to fly off and crash into the roof of a dungeon.

Samantha and Peach jumped at the sounds of the distant crash.

"What was that?" Peach asked.

"I don't know," Samantha answered.

"Maybe it's someone coming to rescue us?"

"That, or Bowser captured another person!"

Peach sighed at that.

Metaknight woke up and groaned. He looked around to find himself inside the dungeon.

"Ok, now all I need to is...wait."

He placed his hand on his face, and realized that his mask was gone. Annoyed, he swung his sword and growled.

"D*mn, at a time like this?" he said to himself.



"Help!" a voice shouted.

"Hm?"

Metaknight looked around, "Someone's down here!"

He decided to put his embarrassment behind him and rescue whoever was in trouble.

Thanks! It's a texture hack I found on one of the websites I get them.

I can already tell this story is going to be longer than I hoped. That's because I'm enjoying it way too much! ;D

Chapter 26

Marth had gained consciousness a while ago, but was a little disoriented from the attack he and the others faced. He looked at his body to see that he had been cleaned up a little, though some blood stains remained on his cloths.

He grew dizzy as he stood up.



Marth sat back down, trying to shake off the dizziness before standing again. After a few minutes, he stood and made his way to the center of the temple, where Link was waiting. Link turned around.

"Your ok," he said.

"Yeah, I guess," Marth answered, "where's Ike?"

"Fox said he's in serious condition right now," Link said softly.

Marth inched his way to the left portion of the temple. Fox and Falco were no where to be seen, but he saw Ike, unconscious, under one of the shrines.



"Man..." Marth whispered.

"They said he took the worst of Rukario's attack,"

"If I ever see that Pokemon again..." Marth started.

"I wouldn't be too hasty with him, especially at this time."

Marth sighed.

Samus and WWLink had reached a stretch of land after they were attacked a while ago. The two were wandering around a forest for a bit, but then decided to stop and rest.

"...Are you done yet?" Samus asked.

"Yeah," Chibi answered as he stepped out from behind a rock, "Sorry, I can't stand wandering around in soaked cloths."

"At least I don't have to worry about that, as long as I have my power suit."

"Do you and Samantha share that suit or something?"

"No, this is a replica of the real thing. The original was Samantha's, but it was so badly damaged, she had to throw it out."

"How did you obtain a copy?"

"It's a secret."

Link turned away while Samus decided to mess with his arm canon, to make sure it still worked.



"Well, everything's still working, thank goodness."

"I didn't lose anything either."

"That's good," Samus said, "so...do you know anything about this forest?"

"No, but my counterpart does."

"Well...I guess we'll have to scout the area. Why don't we take this path and see where it leads us?"

"Hey, I didn't want to get involved in this, but I guess I have no choice."

"Chibi-"

"All I'm saying is...I'll follow you wherever you want to go." he quickly added.

"Oh," Samus said, "well...why don't we just follow the path here?"

"I'm good with that."

Chibi jumped up on a dead tree and looked around.

"What do you see?" Samus shouted.

"Just more forest."

A cracking sound was heard, causing Chibi to turn around, almost loosing his footing in the process.

"What was that?!"



"Probably just some bird," Samus responded as he continued to follow down the path.

Chibi sighed, "No, it felt like something was following us."

He rushed up to Samus, keeping close behind him.

Chapter 27

Sonic had decided to race around Hyrule after he had completed his training. As he reached the Bridge of Eldin, he stopped and was shocked of what he saw.



The bridge was covered with mysterious symbols that were unfamiliar to the hedgehog.

"Whoa!" he said, "what happened?"

"This was my cause," Ganondorf said, who was standing behind the hedgehog. He walked in front of him, "this is another world, one to keep us in, and them out."

"In english?"

"Welcome to the dark world!"

Sonic looked around. Black clouds were seen in the sky, as well as the faced moon.

"Just what exactly is he planning?" Sonic thought



"No one can enter without becoming a monster," Ganondorf said, "the only reason you haven't transformed, is because I placed a spell on you, to prevent you from changing."

"Before we talk more about that, where were you?"

"I was recovering from a minor fight I got into," Ganondorf said, "I was this close to capturing Princess Zelda, but my plans obviously need more work."

Before Sonic could say something, the sound of a motorcycle was heard behind him, and he jumped out of the way.

"Wario," Ganondorf said without looking at him.

Before Wario could say something to Ganondorf, he spotted Sonic and charged, grabbing him by his face.

"Looks like we got a spy!" he said.

"Let go of me!" Sonic said, "I'm on your side!!"



"Wario, release him now." Ganondorf commanded.

Wario grumbled and threw Sonic to the ground.

"Sonic is here to help us,"

"Why him? You know he's one of the-"

"Yes, but he also wants to keep his friends out of danger, so unless he changes his mind, he's willing to do exactly what I say."

Sonic kept his mouth shut.

"We have Peach and Samantha locked up, so all we need now is the princess of Hyrule, Zelda." Ganondorf explained, "but we can't do that with Link and Sheik in the way, so we need to get rid of them before we go after the princess."

"And after we capture Zelda, what do we do then?" Sonic asked, "you didn't really tell me your plan!"

"Oh you'll see...soon enough," he said, "since Bowser and I are still recovering from the fight a while ago, Sonic, you go and fight whoever is guarding Zelda."

"Me? But-"

"Your the fastest of all the smashers here, so you won't have any problems evading the attacks and such."

Sonic sighed, "...All right. I'll do it."

"Wait, how in the world can you trust someone like him to help us?" Wario butted in, "what if this is just a trick and he-"

"You listen here, fatso-"

"Shut up, both of you!!!" Ganondof shouted, causing Sonic and Wario to cover their ears, "Wario, go to the training arena and wait there. Sonic, before you go get Zelda, come with me to Frigate Orpheon."

Wario grumbled as he left.

"A sudden change of plans?" Sonic asked.

"You know the item called a Smash Ball, right?"

"Yeah."

"Bowser horded several of them at Frigate Orpheon, and they will help us later on," he said, "once we retrieve them, then you can continue your mission at the temple. Now let's go."

Ganondorf walked away and Sonic trailed behind.

Chapter 28

After loosing sight of Bowser, Mario, Luigi, and Daisy decided to take a quick rest at the Training Arena.

"After chasing Bowser for nearly 20 years, you choose this time to rest?" Daisy asked, who was behind one of the tall structures.

Mario and Luigi didn't say anything.

"Well at least it gives me time to get into something more flexible and suitable for situations like this."

Daisy then came out from behind a wall.

"Well, how do I look?"



"Great!" Luigi said.

"Did you guys bring your Striker gear with you?"

Mario shook his head, "Didn't think about it at-a-the time."

"Though now I wish-a-we did," Luigi said, "and we-a-still haven't eaten!"

"I guess I'll go pack up some more food then," Daisy said, "I know rescuing Peach is important, but so is keeping up our stamina."

Mario was about to comment, but after the lunch incident, he thought the best thing to do in a conversation like this was to keep his mouth shut. After all, Daisy was one who doesn't forget stuff like that.

"I'll be back," she turned around, "oh, and Mario?"

Mario snapped his head up, afraid of what Daisy was going to say. She really wanted to comment about him eating their lunch earlier, but after seeing the look on Mario's face, she decided that the plummer was feeling guilty enough, and decided to change her response.

"...Try not to let Luigi get into trouble while I'm gone," she said with a wink, then skipped away.

Mario scratched his head.

"What did I do?!" Luigi asked.

"Nothing," Mario chuckled.

"Hello?!" Meta shouted, trying to find whoever was yelling for help.

"Meta Knight, is that you?!" a voice shouted.

"...Peach?!"

Peach and Samantha stood up.

"Metaknight, we're in here!" Samantha called out.

Metaknight followed the voices until he came across a pile of stones. He tried to push one of them out, but it wouldn't budge.

"Bowser and Wario trapped us in here," Peach said.

"We'd get out ourselves, but our weapons won't work on the stones," Samantha said.

"I think I can get you out," Metaknight said, "just hold on, and stand back!"

Metaknight prepared a Drill Rush attack and charged into the stone pile.



Unfortunately, the attack barely did anything except chip some of the stones.

"Drat!" he said, "hmm...well then, I'll try this."

Meta used Mach Tornado on the stones, but that didn't seem to work either.

"D@mn it," he cursed under his breath, "just sit tight, I'll be right back!"

"Wait, where are you going?" Samantha asked.

"To get something that might help us!"

As Metaknight vanished, Peach and Samantha looked at each other.

"What do you think he's after?" Peach asked.

"I don't know, but I hope he comes back before the other three do." Samantha answered.

Ike was motionless after the fight with Rukario, but sharp pain shot through his body, causing him to wake up and scream. Zelda heard the shout and rushed down to where Ike was laying.

"Don't try to move," she said.

"Princess, where...ugh, am I?" Ike groaned.

"Back at Hyrule Temple. Fox and Falco brought you here to be treated."

Ike tried to sit up.

"Where's Link and Marth?!" he asked with deep concern, "are they ok?!!"

"They're all right, in fact, they're here in this temple resting up."

Ike stands up with the support of his sword, "I want to see them."

"All right, but just be careful,"

Zelda helped Ike get to the upper part of the temple, and at one of the shrines where Link and Marth were waiting. They stood up.

"Are you all right?" Link asked.

"I'm fine, Link," he answered.



"You had us real worried there," Marth said.

"Sorry," Ike answered in a flat tone.

"I suggest you guys stay here in case your wounds aren't completely healed," Zelda said.

"Don't you have something to take care of that, like Hearts or-" Marth couldn't finish.

"Yes, but we don't have any to supply you three right now."

"It's ok," Link said, "thanks for everything, Zelda,"

Zelda nods and walks away.

((Don't ask me how Marth and Link didn't know about the fight in the temple earlier, cause I wasn't thinking at the time))

Chapter 29

"All right, they've gotta be around somewhere," Ganondorf said as he wandered the darkness of Frigate Orpheon.

Sonic was still trailing behind, not saying a word. He spotted a box with the traditional Smash symbol on it, then decided to speak up, "They must be in here,"

"Hm?"

Ganondorf walked toward the box.

"Or it might be full of explosives,"

"But you said Bowser-"

"I know what I said, but crates, barrels, capsules...Master Hand is in charge of preparing them for our battles, and he tends to secretly place explosives in them. You can never be too careful."

"So what do we do?"

Ganondorf prepared a Warlock Punch and smashed the box open. A smash ball was then seen floating around, and before it floated away, Ganondorf grabbed it. The aurora inside the glass-like ball swirled around.

"There's gotta be more than just this one, so start looking." he then thought, "then once I obtain those items, I'll finally be able to capture Zelda without fail."

Sonic clinched his fists, but he obeyed the king of darkness and began searching for another ball. Unfortunately, they were unaware that they were being watched. Whoever was watching them, took off in a mad hurry.

Link, Marth, and Ike were still at the temple trying to rest up. They were able to get the rest of the blood stains cleaned from their clothing, and thanks to a few Maximum Tomatos Fox brought in, they were able to regain their energy. Suddenly, Falco darted in the temple with a shocked look on his face.

"Falco, what's wrong?" Fox asked.



"I was just at Frigate Orpheon," he said, "Ganondorf has those Smash Ball things stored in-"

"Wait, did you say Ganondorf?!" Link asked.

"He was there, and he has those Smash ball things stashed there,"

"Yeah, for the battles," Fox said.

"Falco, before you start judging people of-" Ike was interrupted.

"Before you go on, your not gonna believe who was with him."

Link, Ike, and Fox listened carefully.

"Are you sure you know where your going?" Snake asked Captain Falcon, who was leading the group through a forest, "perhaps I should take charge now."

"Just because you have weapons more fancy than ours, doesn't automatically make you leader." Captain Falcon said.

"In case you have forgotten, most of my weapons were confiscated when I joined. At least I was able to keep my gun beside me, but they completely locked the d@mn thing, so I can't use it! What's the point of even carrying it around?!"

"I know, they did that with mine, too."



James and Jordan sat down underneath a large leaf to rest.

"You guys were pretty good back there," Snake said, "I wasn't able to see the whole thing, but I did see you guys corner Ganondorf and Falcon's finishing move."

"So why were you late to the party?" Jordan asked.



"I had to clear something up with my command officer."

"I see."

"What do you plan to do once the service is over?" Falcon asked.

"I don't know," Snake replied.

"...I just plan to take it easy after this is all said and done," Jordan said, "I'm also very eager to get back home to Sara."

"Who's Sara?"

"She's my wife."

"Jordan, I didn't know you were married," James said with a smile.

Jordan nodded, "We've been together since the day I joined this service."

"Any kits to worry about?" Snake asked.

"No, we don't plan on having children until this is all over...or if I make it out. Whatever comes first."

James kept quiet.



"It's not like we're going to war or anything," Snake said, "and trust me, I know what that's like!"

"Yes, but on stuff like this, you'll never know what will happen."

Snake didn't say anything else.

I'm trying to base Snake's personality with what I heard in the Smash game, but I don't think that's enough. The only Metal Gear game (or a game with Snake) I've played was Snake's Revenge for the NES, though I'd love to play Metal Gear Solid 4 someday...somehow.

I have a pretty good idea what I want for the next chapter, but like usual, it'll take a while to do.

Chapter 30

"He what?!!" Fox and Link asked at the same time.

"You heard me." Falco said.

"And your sure Sonic was with him?"

"Yes!"

Link clinched his fists, "Zelda told me something was happening, but-"

"But why would Sonic, of all hero's, decide to help the king of evil?!!" Fox asked.

"I don't know, but I'm gonna find out!" Link said as he walked away.

"Link wait, are you sure your well enough to take them?"

Link didn't respond to him and just kept walking. As he stopped on the ledge, he used the Triforce of Courage and warped himself away from the temple.

"Hold on!" Fox shouted.

"Link must be heading to the Frigate Orpheon," Zelda said, "I can warp you there, if you like."

"Thank you, Zelda."

Zelda clasped her hands together and separated them a few inches from each other. Her body started to glow and an orb of light appeared in between her hands.



Fox watched as she took the orb and threw it at him, then he vanished without a trace.

"Zelda, are you sure they don't need anymore help?" she heard Ike's voice beside her. She turned and spotted him, holding his sword over his shoulder.

"Whatever is going on at Frigate, I'm sure they can complete it." she said.

"Curse it, not again!" Ganondorf's voice growled as he tried to navigate through the area, "every time we come here, the lights go out!"

"I thought you could see through this darkness," Sonic said as he continued to trail behind.

Ganondorf didn't answer as he stashed a smash ball in his armor plate, but heard something clatter on the ground. Fox and Link broke through one of the air vents on the ceiling. The lights flickered back on, and as Link leaped to the ground, he faced Ganondorf.

"Looks like we meet again, hero," he said.

"All right, I heard from a reliable source that your up to something, now what is it?!!" Link said angrily as he took his sword and shield out.

"I don't know what your talking about," he said playfully.



"Don't toy with me!" Link snarled, "years of wanting to take over Hyrule, years of going through the same thing over and over...you'd think you'd tire of it by now!"

"And I thought being Hyrule's hero would take a major toll on you, but I have yet to see you tire out."

Sonic was hiding on a platform above them. He suddenly realized, "One screw up, and I could kiss my hero status good-bye."

Fox suddenly appeared out of thin-air beside Link, but Ganondorf reacted to that and grabbed him by his shoulder.

"What's a fur-ball like you doing in a place like this?" he asked.



Link quickly took out his bow and arrow and shot one at the king of evil, which struck him in the back, releasing Fox, who back-flipped over him and landed beside Link.

"Why are you here?" Link asked.

"Zelda sent me to help you!" he replied.

"Thanks, but I've dealt with this guy many times; I don't need any help right now."

"But Link-"

"I do not tolerate interference," Ganondorf said, "the boy and I shall fight. You just sit back and enjoy the show."

A long-awaited rematch between him and the hero who continuously fought and won for many years. This was his chance for revenge, but he knew he would be beaten before the match even began. That's when he looked up at Sonic and nodded, as if he was saying 'wait for my signal'.

"Is he gonna try to bring their guard down?" Sonic thought. He would possibly have to fight Link and Fox, getting them to think he's on Ganondorf's side.

Sonic's eyes widened as he developed a sick feeling in his stomach, wondering what to do. He was torn between two choices: betray the hero's and lose their trust, but save their lives at the same time, or betray Ganondorf's word and get everybody killed.

That's going to be tough on Sonic.

Chapter 31

"You think I'll be going easy on you, you better think again!" Link said.

"My thoughts exactly," Ganondorf growled ferociously.



Ganondorf sent out dark pulses of energy, and Link put up his shield, trying to repel them, but was pushed back. He jumped at the dark king and tried to stab him in the head, only to have the Master Sword knocked out of his hands.

Link watched as the sword went flying, and was expecting for it to fall off the stage and into the abyss, but lucky for him, it just landed on the edge.

Fox charged up his Fire Fox attack, not bearing to sit and watch anymore.



"Fox wait!" Link shouted.

"I warned you!" Ganondorf roared, preparing to strike him once he got too close.

Link charged at Ganondorf from behind, about to stab him in the back, but Fox ceased his attack once he saw a blue ball charge toward him. It passed by him, making him lose his balance.

As Fox crashed to the ground, he looked up and saw the blue ball transform itself into a familiar figure.

"Sonic?" Fox said.

Sonic looked at him, but didn't say anything. Ganondorf looked at the hedgehog; a little mad that he didn't wait to be called for.

"Something fishy's going on here," Link said, "I just know it."

Before Link could even think more about it, Ganondorf threw a punch at him, but was blocked by his metal shield. He suddenly felt himself being grabbed by Sonic from behind and punched in the face, then thrown across the platform.

Fox's eyes widened when we whitnessed it, then rushed in and tackled the hedgehog. Sonic tried to break frim his grip as he was lifted off the ground.

"You?" he said, trying to remain calm, "out of everyone...why?"



Sonic didn't reply and threw Fox away. He couldn't come up with a response right away, but he knew what would happen if he told the truth. Plus, Fox and Link would go easy on him if they knew all about that, so that was also a good reason to keep his mouth shut.

"Fine, if your going against us, then you'll be treated like an enemy!" Fox was now angry, "c'mon, traitor!!"



While Fox was squaring off against Sonic, Link was continuing his attacks on Ganondorf.

"Seems like your wearing down, Link," he said, laughing.

Link rolled out of the way and pulled out a bomb. He threw it at Ganondorf, but he caught the attack, waited a couple seconds, and threw it back, causing a ball of fire to burn Link as he was hit by his own attack.

Ganondorf slammed his fist into his palm.

"He's really gotten stronger since we last fought," Link thought, then he saw something glow inside his chest place, "wait, what's that?"

Ganondorf kicked Link away, and while the hero was distracted, he quickly stashed the Smash Ball deeper into his chest plate.

"Almost gave it away," he thought.

Sonic punched Fox and the two separated from each other, panting. They both got into another fighting position.



Fox bared his teeth and quickly did a Fox Illusion on Sonic, who took the hit and fell to the ground on his face.

"And I thought you were faster than that!" Fox taunted.

Sonic tried to stand while glaring at Fox.



Fox took out his blaster and aimed it at Sonic, but the hedgehog continued to keep his cool and fight Fox fairly, or at least try to. He sped in and knocked the blaster out of his hands, causing it to slide across the ground.

Sonic jumped in front of the blaster, preventing Fox from grabbing it. Both of them jumped in the air and Fox tried to kick Sonic, but lucky for him, the attack barely hit.



The two land on the ground and was about to attack each other once more, but Link pulled out an arrow and pointed it at Ganondorf.

"Zelda told me you were up to something," he said, "now I want to know what! Tell me, or this arrow is going straight through your neck!"

"Hm...seeing that your going to die anyway," he began, "I plan to take the smash balls and transform them into a whole new power; a power so strong, that not even Master Hand or Crazy Hand can stop me!"

Finally, that was all Sonic needed to hear from the king of evil. He turned to Ganondorf, who still had a Smash Ball stashed in his chest armor.

"Now if only I can make him lose grip on that," he thought, "but if I blow my cover now then-"

His thoughts were interrupted when Ganondorf suddenly zapped Link with an attack of his own. With the Hero of Time and Twilight paralyzed, the King of Evil grabbed him and lifted him off the ground.



"Link!!" Fox shouted.

"Now that you have heard my plans...it's time for you to die," Ganondorf said in a wicked voice.

Thanks! I had to delete the post a few times because I messed up on a couple things. Anyway, the next chapter is currently being worked on as I'm typing this. The story is getting quite long, so I'm hoping to end it soon, but what to do for an epilogue...I just don't have anything in mind.

This is going to feel rushed, but due to the chapter length, the story will have a 2nd part to it, and it'll be continued in another thread.

Chapter 32/Epilogue

"Let him go!!!" Fox shouted as he pointed his blaster at Ganondorf.

"That thing is weak and you know it, fox boy," Ganondorf taunted.

Link struggled to get out of Ganondorf's grip, but the King of Evil thrusted his arm down and released a dark energy into him.



Link was thrown back and slid across the ground. He didn't move again.

"Link!!!" Sonic shouted.

Fox rushed in from behind and kicked Ganondorf, making him lose the Smash Ball he had hidden in his chest plate.

"A Smash Ball?!" Fox said.

Sonic quickly jumped and punched the ball open. Aura began to flourish from the hedgehog. Ganondorf laughed, thinking he was finally going to achieve victory.

"Now Sonic, finish that fur-ball off!" he said.

With an angry glare in his eyes, Sonic shouted and his voice echoed, "I don't think so!!!"

With another shout, he transformed into his super state.



Sonic then charged at Ganondorf, striking him on the first hit. As he fell to the ground, Fox stared in amazement.

"You may got them thinking I was gonna betray the group, but I had my fingers crossed when I made that deal with you," he said with anger, "let this be known: a traitor is NOT who I am!!"

Ganondorf glared at Sonic.

"If I had killed anyone here, I would've regretted it for the rest of my life...but since I promised if you pulled any strings, I...would...show...no...mercy!!!"

His voice echoed through the area. Even Fox couldn't believe the hedgehog's words, since he never pictured him to lose his cool like that. Sonic proceeded to attack Ganondorf while he had the Smash Ball's power left, knocking him back and forth, up and down, everywhere he could hit. Unfortunately, the power didn't last long, and as his super state powered down, the 7 Chaos Emeralds separated and vanished. Ganondorf, though weak, was very pissed off. He grabbed Sonic and glared with full fledged anger. Sonic glared back.

"You...YOU!!!" Ganondorf snarled.



With Ganondorf's power now down, Fox began charging his Firefox attack, and knocked him out of the area, and grabbed Sonic before he fell into the darkness. As Fox pulled him on the ledge, Sonic began panting.

"Sonic?" Fox asked.

"I'm sorry..." he said, "I...I was just-"

"You've already explained yourself, and I forgive you."

Sonic stood up as he tried to calm himself, then he ran toward Link.

"Link?" he said, shaking him, "are you ok?"

Fox walked toward the two.

"Link!!" Sonic shouted.

Link opened his eyes, "Sonic?"

"Link," Fox bent down, "don't say anything yet. I'll explain everything once we get back to the temple."

Fox lifted Link on his shoulders and he and Sonic looked for the exit.

Peach paced around the cell while Samantha tried to remain calm.

"Meta said he would be back, and you gotta trust his word," Samantha said.

"Then why am I so nervous?" Peach said.

They then heard a sizzling sound and someone shouting, "Get back as far into the cell as possible!"

"Is that sound what I think it is?" Samantha asked.

"Just do it!"

The two did what they were told and a ball of fire covered the stone pile. Tiny pieces of stone showered the two girls and they tried to shake them off. When the smoke cleared, they saw Metaknight, with his back turned.

"How did you do that?" Samantha asked.

"A Bomb-omb," Meta answered, "now get out of here while you still can!"

"Wait, aren't you going to lead us out?" Peach asked.

Metaknight had already vanished. Apparently, he was still ashamed of his facial features.

"All right, let's not linger any longer," Samantha said.

"Do you know your way out?" Peach asked.

Samantha didn't answer and continued onward.

Meanwhile, Wario had made it at the Castle Siege's underground.

"Hmm...now why did I come here again?" he asked himself.

He was unaware that a creature was watching him until it spoke, "Human, why have you entered the underground?"

The dark telepic voice caught Wario off guard and he fell to the ground.

"Oh...uh...I was..."

He was blinded by a sudden flash that seemed to have teleported him to the top of the castle.

"Hey, how did I get up here!"

"Ridiculous fool," the voice said again.

Wario turned around to see Rukario.



Wario clinched his fists, "What do you want?!"

"Tell me human, what is it that you desire?"

"Hmm...got any cash?"

"If it's money you want, it's money you will get," he said, "all I ask is for a favor in return."

"Name it!"

"Find whoever is responsible for the princess's and bounty hunter's capture,"

"Ok I'll-hey!" he then growled, "how did you know about that?!"

Rukario didn't say anything.

"Oh whatever, you have a deal!"

Wario stormed off, and Rukario trailed behind him, his intentions still unknown.

Not bad for a rushed chapter, huh? I still need a title, though, and I'm also having trouble getting started on my 2nd story!!

Took me a while to think of something in my last story, so I know how you feel and getting started is the hardest thing too.
