No title *Finished*

[The Melee Master]

This fanfic features pictures I took of Super Smash Brothers Brawl to help tell the story. I figured it would be more interesting that way.

Some of the pictures are gonna be edited, too, to match the storyline and such, and the beginning is a little short because I kinda rushed it. If anyone comes up with a title, then please tell me.

"What am I doing wrong?" a voice asks.

Bowser was pacing the floor in a place called Frigate
Orpheon. He had stayed there hoping to get ideas for what he could to do capture princess Peach, but nothing was coming to him.

"For more than 20 years, I've been tracking the princess down, only to be stopped by those d@mn plummer brothers!" he said, "20 years and I got nothing!! Why can't I finish the job?!!!"



"Quiet down, you big lizard!" a voice said.

Bowser turns and spots a man with pointy ears and a big red nose.

"You can't finish the job because your not good enough!" he said, "You need more practice. You may have tailed them for so long, but you have not caught them yet, because your just a dim-witted mutant turtle!"

"Who are you calling dim-witted you big red nosed, elf eared midget?!" Bowser snarled.



"Ohh, I'm shaking."

"An oncoming problem, isn't it?" a voice said.

Bowser and Wario turned around to see a fimiliar looking man across from him.



"I can fulfill your wishes to your hearts desire." he said with a smirk on his face.

"Oh really?" Wario said.

The man nods, "And I ask one favor in return."

Bowser stomped his way toward him and roared, "I trusted you before, and you betrayed me! How will I know you won't do it again?!"



"Because we're all after the same thing, are we not? And a job that big requires more help."

"Hmm...what do you have in mind?" Wario asks.

"The three female warriors, Zelda, Samantha, and Peach, are needed for the job." he explained, "If we capture them, we'll use them as bait to rid of the other Smashers. I'll explain the rest later."

"But...those three may be woman, but they know how to fight. I know from experience."

The man turned around and smirked, "Let me take care of that."

Bowser and Wario looked at each other.

"I have ways to making our job a little more easier."

"Heh heh, I like the sound of that." Wario said.

"So... how about it?"

"I'm in!"

Bowser hesitated, then spoke, "All right, but if you pull anything-"

"You have my solemn promise." he added.

Thanks! I decided I wanted to try something new. I'm planning out the chapters before I take pictures, but I'm having writers block on the 2nd chapter *I get writers block very easily*. Therefore, I'm taking up ideas, if anyone has some they wish to share.

All right, but the only mushroom kingdom related stage is the Mushroomy Kingdom, and that's a scrolling stage. How 'bout I make it at Delfino Plaza instead?

Chapter 2

Meanwhile, at the Mushroom Kingdom, the Mario brothers and the two princess's were taking a vacation at Delfino Plaza.



"When will they come-a-back?" Luigi asks, pacing the ground, "I'm-a-starving!"

"Give them some time." Peach said, "They'll be here."

"They've-a-been gone for two hours! Food should-a-not be so hard to find here!"

"We're baaack!" a voice said.

"Daisy, wa-oof!"

The princess of Sarasaland had jumped off Mario's head and landed gracefully on the ground.



"So what'd you get?" Peach asked.

Mario handed Daisy the picnic basket.

"They mostly had fruit on these islands." she said, "Sad, I was hoping to at least get some bread."

Daisy and Mario sat down under the umbrellas.

"Well, after lunch, we can go on that cruise we've been wanting to go for months now!" Peach said.

"Yeah, good idea!" Daisy said, digging into the picnic bag, "Hmm?"

"What's wrong?"

Daisy looked into the bag to see that it was completly empty.

"Our food's gone!" she said, "How can that--"

Her eyes flashed wih anger, then turned to Mario.

"Mario!!" she shouted.

"Hmumph...?" he said, dazed.

"What's wrong?" Peach asks.

"Well, we did get our picnic lunch, but mr ravioli belly must've ate it behind my back!!" Daisy said.

"What?!" Luigi said, "We have no food?!"



"Calm down, we can always get some fruit around here, too." Peach said.

"What do you got to say for yourself?!" Daisy said to Mario.

"Hmmfrmmruru....." was all he said before plopping down and going to sleep.



"So he eats all our lunch and then sleeps it off like it's nothing." she said, "Yet, this is the same guy who saves the Mushroom Kingdom more times than Bowser tried to kidnap us!"

"Even heros need a break." Luigi said.

"True, but I would rather have one who doesn't eat all our food behind our backs!"

Daisy slaps Mario's stomach, but Mario didn't wake up.

"I'll go get some more before he wakes up." Peach said as she stood up and left.

Luigi plops down on the ground under the umbrella, "I'm hungry!"

"Well, we can either have what Peach is gonna bring us, or we can have roasted plummer!!" Daisy said, glaring at Mario, "He's already stuffed, so all that's left is to cook him over an open fire!"

Mario continues to sleep.

As Peach ventured off to get more food, she stopped and turned to the side where the blue ocean laid.

"Yeah, we really did pick the right spot." she said with a giggle.

As she turned around, she lets out a startling scream as she saw that Bowser was in front of her.



"Hello, my dear," he said.

Peach backed away, "Wh-what do you want?! How did you..."

"Been a while, hasn't it?"

Bowser walked slowly toward Peach and she took off running.



"There's nowhere to run, and no where to hide this time, princess," Bowser said. He rushed over and grabbed Peach's arm.

"Ugh, let go!" Peach shouted, struggling to break free, but was unable to escape Bowser's tight grip, "Help!!!"

"Too bad you left your kitchen and sports ware at home," he said, then laughed.

"Help!!!"

Mario woke up at the sound of the scream, "Princess?!"

"Peach is in trouble!" Luigi said.

"She's always in trouble!" Daisy said, "I told her she should've brought her golf club and tennis racket!"

"Momma-mia, and there goes our vacation!" Luigi said.

"The princess of the Mushroom Kingdom is more important than a vacation, big nose!"

The three took off to locate the princess.

Chapter 3

Meanwhile at Hyrule Temple.



"...It's been peaceful around here eversince Tabuu was destroyed." said Zelda, who was standing on the edge of a floating land, "But now..."

She paused and closed her eyes, "Something's wrong."

The gentle wind blew, blowing the two peices of her wrapped hair in front of her.

"Princess?"

Zelda turned around to see a young man standing behind her, then she turned back around, "Hi Sheik."

"Something wrong?"

"Do you not feel it?"

"Hm?"

Zelda grew silent.

"...Zelda?" Sheik said.

"I feel as though another threat is approaching us."

"Why do you say that? Tabuu is destroyed, Master and Crazy Hand are on our side now...I think..."

"It's a very strong feeling, I kid you not."

"I'm sure it's nothing, my princess." he said as he twirled around and stopped, standing on one foot.

Zelda turned around, "Now's not the time to be showing off, Sheik." she said, a little annoyed.



"My apologies."

"Gather anyone you can find and bring them to the Battlefield." she said, "We'll discuss our plans there."

"But princess-"

"I order you to go find them." she said in a stern voice, then walked off.

"...As you wish." Sheik said with a bow, then he raced off.

I need a title, so if you guys come up with something, let me know. As for the plot, well, I guess it'll explain itself, but I'm thinking.

Chapter 4

Meanwhile in Green Hill Zone, a blue figure was racing up and down the lands.



"Man, it's been a while since I was able to fun freely like this!" he said, "Those fights are fun, but racing is what I do best!"

He jumped and landed on a platform, then dashed down and continued running. However, something didn't feel quite right to him.



"Someone's tailing me." he said.

Sonic stopped and turned around, but didn't see anything.

"That's odd. I thought for sure someone was following me."

Just when Sonic was about to speed off, a figure rushed in and grabbed him.



"If you squirm, shout, or attack me in any way, I will make your death as slow and painful as I possibly can." a man said in a dark, threatening voice.

Sonic escaped the man's grasp.

"I knew it! What are you doing here, Ganondork?" he asks, getting into a defensive position.



"That hurt," he said sarcastically, "but seriously now, I have a job for you."

"What kind of job?"

"Something that can benefit you."

"Heh, yeah right!" he said, "I've tried that with Robotnik one time, and I'm NOT falling for it from you!"

"Unlike that egg-gut, I do not intend to betray you in any way."

"Blah blah blah."

"And if I wanted to hurt you, don't you think I would've done so by now?"

Sonic lowered his defenses, "I...I guess."

"Now, listen to me." he said, "I already have two others looking for Zelda and Peach, and-"

"What?!"



"And I am wanting you to come with me so we can discuss what we're going to do with them."

"....You sure no harm will come to them or the others?"

"Indeed."

"Then...I'll do what you say."

Ganondorf slammed his fist into his palm, "Let's get going now."

"Something that would benefit both of us, huh?" he said to himself, giving an eerie look of distrust, "...I'll play along with this charade of his, and normally, this is out of my league, but as dark as he is, if he pulls anything, I swear I'll show no mercy."

Great job. Though I could never think Ganondorf could catch Sonic like that, that, and I hope Sonic has something that's light based...

He might. Ganondorf was standing there for a while, and Sonic wasn't expecting him. That's why he got caught.

I have trouble getting ideas and pictures that go with the plot, so I'm not gonna be updating that often. I'm trying though, especially since I have tons of free time now that I'm off school for two weeks for Christmas Break!

Wario is one of the comical characters in my story, and to make it fit, he's gonna be out-of-character. Unlike Bowser and Ganondorf, he's a little more of an anti-hero, he talks like a big-shot even though he's not, and he's also a little on the immature side.

I didn't realize I've changed his costume color until now, but disregard that. Short chapter, but like I said, pics make up for it!

Chapter 5

Back at a training arena, Samantha and her cousin, Samus, were practicing their fighting skills. Samus was on his knee, re-adjusting his arm canon.

"That should do it." he whispered he stood up. He pointed his weapon at Samantha and began charging.

Samantha paid no attention to the attack, or so it seemed. Samus launched the energyball, but before the attack was able to hit, Samantha jumped up and managed to attach herself to the wall.



She jumped down and landed.

"Too slow!" she said, lashing out her whip at Samus, stunning him, "I told you, you must keep up your guard."

"Ugh....yeah, next time I'll remember." he said, shaking off the stun.

"You better unless you want to get yourself killed, and that means, taking the meaning expect the unexpected quite literally!"

Samantha lashed out her whip, but this time, Samus was the quickest to react, and he rolled into a ball, avoiding the attack.



"See there?" she said.

"Missed!" he said as he got back into position. He looked around, "Hey, where'd you go?"

"Gotcha!" Samantha said, knocking Samus into a wall.



Samus crashed onto the ground.

"You see?" she said.

He collapsed on the ground, "Ugh...I have my armor on, you don't....and your still stronger than me!"

"Faster too, but remember, it's not entirely the armor you have. It's because you lack in stamina." Samantha said, "All because of that poison you inhaled years ago."

"Don't remind me!" he said, "I'm just lucky to be here right now. That almost killed me!"

Samantha sat down, then crawled over to Samus and said in a serious tone, "I'm glad it didn't."



"Ditto." Samus said, "I think we've trained enough, don't you?"

"Yeah."

Samus sat down, panting as he took his helmet off. He cleaned the sweat from his face before putting it back on. Samantha sat down to rest.

While they were resting, Wario rode in on his bike. He was parched on top of one of the pillars. Wario got off the bike and shouted, "Suprise!"

Wario dove down from the pillar head first. Samantha jumped out of the way, and Wario ended up slamming to the ground on his head.

"Eyeeeyeeeeh." he said in pain.



"Oh great...what do you want?" Samus asked.

Wario got up and rubbed his head. Then he shook it off and replied, "I've come for the girl."

"What?"

Samantha bend down and took her weapon out and aimed it at Wario.



"Well, I'm not gonna....wait."

She thought for a moment, "Why would he want me?"

Samus aimed his weapon at Wario, "Whatever the reason why, I won't let you take her!"

"Brave talk for a guy who's always hiding behind his armor." Wario said, "I'm not afraid of you!"

"No, but take her, and you will be."

Wario started laughing.

"Oh, you think I'm playin'?" Samus asked. He dashed off and was going to ram Wario, but he jumped out of the way just in time.

Samus collided with the pillar and crashed to the ground.

"Samuel, look out!" Samantha shouted.

Samus looked up and noticed Wario's bike fall. He dashed out of the way and it crashed to the ground.

"Perfect!" Samus shouted and jumped onto Wario's bike.



"Ugh, if I didn't have my suit on..." he murmured as he tried to seat himself onto the motorcycle.

"Hey, that's mine!" Wario shouted, then hopped up and down shouting, "Give it back!"

Samus grabbed onto the handle with his left hand and rested his arm canon on the other. He positioned his feet onto the gas pedal and reved the engine.

"Give it-" Wario saw Samus coming toward him, "Waah!!"

Wario took off running as fast as his stubby legs could take him, "I don't want it, I don't want it!"

Samantha snapped her fingers and smiled, "The tables are turned now!"

Just when Samus was enjoying how the battle turned around, the bike slid and crashed into a wall, throwing him off. Wario was litterally on the ground, rolling with laughter.

"You wanna laugh harder?" Samus asked, "Then laugh at this."

Samus began charging his weapon.

"Uh-oh." Wario said.

He released the attack and it hit Wario dead-on. He was sent flying and slamming into one of the pillars.

"That's how you do it!"

Samantha said nothing to this, as she figured Samus was just showing off now.



Wario slid down the pillar and got up, grabbing a wheel that was broken off of his bike.

"Bah! I can always get another one." Wario murmured to himself as he tossed the wheel aside, "Now where was I?"

"This guy may be somewhat of a joke, but he doesn't give up." Samus said to Samanatha.

"Yeah." she agreed, "And that means we can't, either."

That was hilarious! Wario being chased around or landing on his head! ;D

Thanks, I thought so too. I was aiming at Wario to be the funny one, as I said before, and it looks like I did a good job. ;D

That doesn't mean you should take him too lightly, because when he wants something, he'll take it by force, as you'll see in this chapter, which I just now got done. This'll probably be the last update for today, too.

Chapter 6

"This outta finish things off." Wario said, pulling out something from behind his back.



"A bomb-omb?" Samus said, "You wouldn't dare!"

Wario snickered and threw the bomb-omb at Samus. Samus didn't have time to dodge and was hit. Fire burned on his armor as he slammed back against the pillar.



"Are you all right??" Samantha called out to him.

Samus struggled to stand up, but it was no good. He fell on on knee, panting.

"I can't go on much longer." he thought to himself.

Wario lets out a whistle and another motorcycle came crashing down. Samus managed to leap to the other side, then he collapsed to the ground once more. He struggled to stand.

"Didn't know I had backup, now did ya?" he said as he jumped on, "Aw, tired already? I was just starting to have fun."

Wario then lets out a small laugh.



"D@mn it." Samus cursed.

Wario revved up his bike and took off, hitting Samus in the process and sending him crashing to the ground.

"Now your mine!" Wario said to Samantha as he jumped off his bike.

"Not yet, garlic breath!" Samus shouted, getting ticked off.



"Oh yeah?"

Samus hears a clank behind him and realized it was a Mr Freezie.

"How convenient," he said as he grabbed it.

"Oh no you don't!" Wario shouted.

Samus tried to grab the Mr Freezie, but unfortunately, Wario was successful. Wario grabbed the Mr Freeze and threw it at the bounty hunter, freezing him solid.



Wario snickered, "Perfect."

Samantha grabbed Wario and held her blaster to his head, "You have five seconds to tell me what you want with me."

"And you have 3 seconds to guess what's gonna happen to you."

"Wha-"

"Times up!"

Wario punched Samantha in the face very hard and threw her to the ground. Samantha groaned a little and tried to get up.

"Hitting a girl, especially in the face like that?" she asked, half taunting, half-serious, "That's low, even for you!"



"I don't play by the rules, sweetcheeks!" Wario said, which made Samantha shudder, "Now be a good girl and come with me!"

Samantha charged and rammed Wario against a pillar.

"Ugh, you women always want to do everything the hard way." he said, getting serious, "Fine!"

Wario slid passed Samantha and grabbed her ankles, swung her around, and threw her against the same pillar he had been thrown into.

Stunned, Samantha couldn't move much. She managed to crawl onto the middle of the arena and take her weapon out, attempting to stun Wario, but before she had the chance, she passed out.



Unfortunately, Samantha didn't have as much stamina left as she thought due to the training she and Samus had earlier.

Wario snickered, "That was easier than I thought."

He lets out a whistle and a motorcycle came crashing down.

"I had a backup motor waiting, so I'm not as dumb as they think." he murmured to himself.

Wario dragged Samantha onto the motorcycle and then he hopped on and sped off.

Samus isn't going to be happy... Love the effects there.

I agree. Now you've got me interested in this, Melee Master. I'll be looking forward for the update!

Chapter 7

It has been at least an hour since the sudden attack, and the ice that Samus had been trapped in thawed out by now. Samus cleaned his visor and looked around. Samantha and Wario were no where to be seen.

"Samantha?!" Samus shouted.

His voice echoed through the arena and gave no response.

"D@mn it!!" he shouted, slamming his hand on the ground.



Samus stood up, "I gotta get her back, and fast!"

He jumped onto the right pillar and then jumped on the stairs leading to the door. It opened up and Samus left the training arena.

Meanwhile, Link was relaxing at Hyrule Temple, which, surprisingly, was still in good shape, or most of it.

"I haven't been here since our last team broke up." he said to himself, "I'm surprised it's still standing."



A soft breeze blew, creating a whistling sound through the temple. A figure suddenly appeared behind him, but Link wasn't aware of his presence.



After a few more minutes, Link turned around to leave, then spotted Sheik.

"Ah!" Link said, surprised as he put his sword away.



"It's been a while, hero." he said, "I have come to deliver a message from the princess of Hyrule, stating that you must meet her at the battlefield immediately."

"What's going on?"

"She will explain everything once you meet with her."

Link turned around, "Normally Zelda wouldn't call us unless it's serious."

"I don't know what she has to tell you, but if she wants you to meet her with little notice, then it must be serious," he said, backing away.

Link lowered his head, "I wonder...."

"Meet with her at once."

Link took his sword back out, "I will. Thank y-"

He turned around to see that Sheik was no longer behind him, or no where within the ruined temple at all.



"I hate it when he does that." he said, then stormed out of the temple.

Chapter 8

A castle fortress was seen in the middle of a large and beautiful field.



On one of it's pillars, stood Marth, one of the smashers, staring down at an open field.



"This place grew more quiet since the subspace army was defeated." he said to himself.

He heard a wind sound, and he turned around to see Zelda.

"Princess!" he said. Marth jumped down the platform to meet with her, "It's been a while."

"Yes, and I have important news to deliver." she said, "But you must meet me at the battlefield at once in order to hear it."

"Important news?" he asked.

"More like a meeting. I have also sent Sheik out to recover anyone that can help, too."

"That serious, huh?"



"In case it is serious, then we need all the help we can get." she said.

"In case?"

"Come and meet me at the battle field."

Marth hesitated, then sighed, "All right, whatever the situation, I shall help you."



Zelda nodded used Farore's Wind and teleported away from the castle.

Peach awoken to find herself in a cold, dark place. She stood up with her hand on her head, "What a headache."



After her headache disappeared and her eyes adjusted to the darkness, she found herself locked in a dungeon.

"Again?! If this is a dream, then somebody wake me up!!"

When her voice echoed through the dungeon, she realized that this wasn't a dream; it was real.

"Help!" she shouted.

Peach rushed toward a pile of stones and tried to push her way out, but they wouldn't budge.



"Let me out!" she shouted, pounding on the stones, "Somebody!!!"

She pushed with all her might, then her feet slipped and she fell to her knees. She got up and backed away to the dark part of the dungeon.

"More than 20 years of being captured, and I'm still not use to it." she said, dusting herself off and trying to keep calm.



"I can't panic, not now. I know Mario and the others will come and save me. They always do."

She paced around the dungeon for about five minutes before sitting down with her back against the wall.



"Oh...please hurry."

I have a funny feeling Peach will get out.

Maybe. She's been saved countless times, so I wouldn't be surprised. I may be the one telling the story, but...

Chapter 9

Link had finally made it to the battle field. He spotted Marth and walked over to him.

"Why are you here?" he asked.

"Sheik called me here." Link answered, "He said something about a meeting?"

"Yeah, Zelda called me for the same reason." Marth said, "I wonder what's going on."



"Hey!" a voice shouted.

Link and Marth look up to see a familiar angel flying above the battle field.

"Pit!" Link said.

Pit dove in for a landing, but ended up crashing to the ground.



"Ow!" he exclaimed.

"Are you ok?" Marth asked.

Link sighed, "Pit, you really need to work on that landing."

"No kidding." he said as he stood up.

"Zelda call you here, too?" Marth asked.

"No, I was just stretching my wings. Why, did something happen?"

"We don't know yet."

They saw Zelda and Sheik appear in front of them.

"Welcome." Zelda said.

Pit walked over to Zelda and kneeled down.



"I apologize for being here, but I needed someplace to land." he said, "I was just-"

"It's quite all right." she replied, "We need the extra help anyway."

"Help?"

Zelda stood there quietly, then spoke, "Listen. I know we have defeated Tabuu, but now I feel that another threat is approaching."

"So you want us to defeat it?" Link asked.

"I know I call for you whenever danger is near, but this is out of the ordinary, so I need your full strength and teamship."

"Yes princess!" they all said.



Zelda giggled.

"Oh sure, when I do it, I'm a showoff, but when they do it, she think it's cute." Sheik murmured under his breath.

"Cover any ground you come across, and report any strange activity." Zelda said, "Good luck!"

Zelda used Farore's and teleported them out of the arena, then teleported her and Sheik back to the Temple.

"I'm going, too." Sheik said, "I'm gonna see if we can get more to help us."

"They're very experienced, so I believe that's all we'll need."

"We could be dealing with something more dangerous than Tabuu, Master Hand, and Crazy Hand put together!"

"Calm down, we don't know what it is yet, Sheik."

"You were captured before, a few days after we joined this team! I was unable to help because I had no idea where the heck you were or what was going on!" he said, "...Navi, Link's fairy, came to me and explained the situation, but even then, I was unable to find you!"

"I was with Peach, but then Snake found us and broke us out. We split up afterwords."

"Yes, and I found Peach and helped her try to escape Metaknight's ship."

Zelda said nothing.



"I thought something happened to you..." he whispered.

"Well, it's over now, but we need to stay focused on this."

"Just...promise me you won't get caught like that again."

"I promise." Zelda said gently, "Now go!"

Sheik stepped back, and vanished from the temple.

On Shadow Mosses Island, Snake was in the middle of one of his own missions. He dashed behind a building and looked back.



"So far so good." he said.

He took out a hand grenade and threw it against a wall, then threw himself out of the way. The grenade exploded and the wall collapsed, leaving a gaping hole for him to go through. As he ran through it, he stopped and rested his back against a wall, panting.

Snake wiped the sweat off his forehead and kneeled down, placing his hand over his ear.



"Snake to McCloud, do you copy?"

"MCloud to Snake, I read ya! Over!" a distorted voice said.

"What is your current position?"

"Some kind of desert area. I can't really tell where it is...there's worn down pipes everywhere, and suspended brick blocks."

"Mushroomy Kingdom." he said, "Ok, sounds like your right under Brinstar. I'll call Samus right now and tell him to take you there. I'll meet up with you in a little bit, and try not to let anyone else see you, not yet!"

"Copy that! Over and out!"

Snake stood up and ran to find the exit.

Chapter 10

After Marth, Link, and Pit discussed about taking turns becoming Team Leader, they ventured off from the Battle Arena. Link was chosen to be leader first, and after a while of exploring, he, Marth, and Pit found themselves in a dense jungle area.

Link was ahead of the group until Marth shouted, "Wait Link!"

Link stopped and turned to Marth, "Yeah?"

Marth caught up with him, "Do you even know where you're going?"

"I'm going by instinct," he answered.



"Instinct?!" Pit shouted as he flew toward them. He landed on solid ground, "Is that why we've been wandering this jungle for over an hour?"

Link sighed, "Hey, you guys elected me to be leader of this group! Besides, I know what I'm doing. I'm a natural-born explorer; I've been doing this for over 25 years."

"Huh?!" Pit exclaimed, flying ahead of Link and jumping onto a pillar, "If your 17, then how can you-"

"Time Travel, Pit, remember?"

Pit blinked.

"Anyway, we don't have time to talk, we have a long way to go."

"Go where, exactly?" Marth stepped in.

"...Wherever my instinct takes me, I told you."

"Face it Link, you have no idea where we're going. Besides, it's way too hot and humid in this jungle to just wander around!"

"Well, you got me there."

"We can easily get lost here, so the first thing we need to do is find a water source, and stock up."

"Hey, I thought Link was the leader," Pit said.

"No, Pit, he's got a point." Link said, "It's better to fill up on fresh water first before we continue. Luckily, I brought some extra glass bottles with me."

"...The same kind you put bugs and fish in?" Marth asked with disgust.

"Would you rather take a chance against the elements?"

"I think I would!"

"C'mon Marth, it's not as bad as you think!"

Marth shuddered, "Fine!" then whispered, "A prince like me shouldn't have to deal with this kind of misery."

Pit shrugged.

"Guys, I think there's a waterfall nearby." Link said, "I can smell it."

Link ran off ahead of the others. He stopped beneath a beautiful flowing waterfall.



"This feels good." Pit said, stretching his wings.

"Well, it's not exactly cold, but..." Marth said, wiping water droplets from his face.

"Better than nothing," Link said with a shrug.



"True."

Link took out the bottles and rinsed them several times before filling them back up. He took the lids out and twisted them on, then hands Marth and Pit a bottle each.

"I only have four, so try not to break them." Link said, "Take your time with the water until we find another fresh supply."

"Yes boss." Pit joked.

They walked away from the waterfall and continued their trek.

[The Melee Master]

The first Zelda has been created 25 years ago, and that's what Link meant when he said he's been traveling for that long. .....I like to imagine him as the same hero in every Zelda game, (besides whatever games WW Link is in) regardless of what Nintendo says (I love using my imagination, ok??)

Chapter 11

An Arwing was seen flying toward Brinstar. It lands on a bare spot, and as the c0ckpit opened up, a dark furred stray fox jumped out and landed on solid ground. The door to the Arwing closes automatically.

The fox looked around as he also turned his ears.

"What a place." he said with a deep but smooth sounding voice, "......All right, I've made it to Brinstar!"



"Good, now stay until I get there!" another voice said through a communicator on the fox's wrist, "...Right now, I'm still trying to get through this forest."

"What's holding you up?"

"It's pretty dense, and hard to breathe. At least sneaking around the place is easy enough but don't worry, Douglass and I will be there soon!"

"And while I do, what am I suppose to find here?"

"See if...mus....the....wi....far...." static had interrupted their transmission.

"McCloud, you're breaking up!" the fox said, "...McCloud?!"

"Ahh...what a lovely surprise!" he heard a voice say.

The fox turned around and saw a giant turtle-like creature on a pillar.



"What the heck is that suppose to be?" he asked.

"Come now, Fox, don't tell me you've forgotten me already."

"I don't even know who you are!"

Bowser smashed his fist into his open palm, "Then shall I bash you around until I jog your memory?"

"I don't have time to play around." he hissed, taking out a blaster.

"Who said we were playing?!"

Bowser swiped his claws at the fox, but he made a quick dodge and jumped to the other side. He leaped in the air with his foot extended, but just when the fox was about to hit him, Bowser guarded himself with his defensive shield. The fox made contact with it, but it made an electrical crackle sound, and the fox's attack did no damage to Bowser.

Bowser turned off his shield and laughed.

"Time to try another tactic." the fox thought, then he looked behind his shoulder. He looked down to see the yellow acid, "And I think I have just the one."

The fox waited for Bowser to get close, then he jumped over him, but Bowser grabbed the fox and hung him over the acid below.

"Thought you could out-smart me, huh?" he growled.

The fox used a reflector and pushed Bowser away, then jumped to the other side.

"How did you get so strong, Fox Mc....wait. Dark fur...deep voice..." Bowser pondered, "Ah, your not Fox McCloud! Your nothing more than a stray fox playing 'dress up'!"

He then began laughing.

"Whatever floats your boat, I suppose," mocked the fox.



Bowser stopped laughing and roared, pulling out a cracker launcher from behind his back. Bowser fired the weapon, but the fox managed to dodge the attacks. He jumped from pillar to pillar, but then the unfortunate happened. As he landed, his foot was caught in an egg-like substance. The fox tried to pull himself free, but no success.

"Oh dear..." he said.

"Ha ha!" Bowser laughed.

The fox continued trying to pull himself free, but still, no luck.

"Say goodbye, you stupid fox!" he shouted, pointing the cracker launcher at him.



The fox tried to pull out his blaster, but then the koopa fired...a puff of smoke.

"What the?" Bowser said, firing several more times, and again, no attack came.

While Bowser was distracted, the fox finally got his foot free.

"Piece of junk, that's what it is!" Bowser said, throwing the empty cracker launcher into the acid.

The stray fox's body began to flame up before charging at Bowser, knocking him off the platform and into the acid, but to his surprise, Bowser was in his Koopa Clown Car.

"I'm done playing with you for now." he said, then spoke to himself, "I gotta report this to Ganondorf immediately."

As the fox watched Bowser fly away, he heard a voice speak in his headset, "Hey, is everything all right?"

"I'm fine. I just had a run-in with a mutant turtle." he said, "But he fled just now."

"Must've been Bowser. He's one of the enemies you should be on the lookout for."

The fox smiled, "Well, as I said, he's taken care of."



"Are you still on Brinstar?"

"Yes, I am." Then the fox lets out a shout, jumping to a platform as the yellow acid began to rise. It slowly starts eating away the area that he was on.

"It's too dangerous to stay for too long. Get out of there!"

"Right away. Over and out!"

The fox pressed a button on his wrist communicator hidden in his sleeve, and an Arwing charges in. It lands in a clear spot as it's c0ckpit opened up. The fox jumped inside and flew away from Brinstar.

Actually, the first Zelda game was made around '86/'87 so it's only 21 or 22 years(same age as me mostly which is sweet! ;D), but I get the idea. Nicely done too with the chapter!
