When you start your next RP, can I join this time?

You asked to join The Dragon Resurrection numerous times, and you never showed up, then you asked when it was too far into the RP for anyone to join. I WAS gonna add only the ones who participated in the Dragon Resurrection RP, but I'll see what I can do.
Just remember to read through posts in case you get lost. Asking for help numerous times will probably tick people off and eventually, they will refuse to help you, and I'm one of them.
If you are absent from the RP for whatever reason, and you want to join back up, remember to start at the place where you left off, and that goes for the rest of you as well, if you're reading this.

But if someone starts an RP and I want to join, what do I have to do?

First of all, we've already been through this. Second, I've added something in the Rules saying that if you create an RP, you must say whether or not it's for individual people, or for everyone.
I've noticed that you've been posting in that Way of the Sword RP every day. If you keep that up, then maybe you will be able to join other RP's, with the creators permission, of course. The reason you were being left out back then was because you rarely came by and posted here.
I don't usually have the time to post in other RP's and that's why I don't join them. I hate to keep people waiting to post in their own RP's just because I don't make a reply right away.
But yeah, keep posting in the RP's and maybe come up with threads of your own, and eventually, you'll warm up to it. Hey, that reminds me; are you through with your Nintendo RP? If you don't wish to finish it, you need to mark it.

I've gotten very bored with it, to be honest, but I think I'll keep it open just in case I come up with something.

Whatever works for you, I guess. Just remember, if you plan to join my RP threads, I have to warn you that...I have a thing for Dragons, if you can't tell, and...well...most of my RP's are gonna have something to do with Dragons and other crap.
I'm not Dragon obsessed, for the record. Most of my characters are Dragons, and it's also a habit I picked up from other RP sites.

Ha! I love dragons, so I don't mind at all. In fact, my character is part dragon...in her Kenshin-hybrid form, that is. Remember that from the old board?

Somewhat. And that's good to hear. Unless the others say the same, I don't think we'll have a problem with the next RP. Besides that, like I said, I have stuff already planned and ready thanks to TV and Internet browsing.
In fact, while I was flipping through channels on my TV earlier, I came across a movie called Spirited Away. I decided to watch it a bit, and even though I don't really care for it much, but man, did it inspire me of some great ideas for the next RP! I even searched online for info on one of the characters so that I can create one based off of him. I can't wait to get started on it, but I'm gonna try not to rush.

I've seen that movie a few times, and I like it! The only dragon character on there is a boy named Haku, the river spirit. Is he the one you were referring to?

|
|
Post by Shadow Dragon on Apr 5, 2008 1:27:25 GMT -5
That's the one. I don't know for sure if Haku is really a human or Dragon, but I'll look into that later. I'll bet ya he's human, but in my RP, of course, he'll be the complete opposite.
Also, I don't want to reveal too much on what I plan to do, so be patient until my current RP is finished, which will take longer than I hoped since I have yet to add some events. Which reminds me, to those of you who are in the RP and are reading this, the main cause of the stuff happening is gonna be revealed soon!!! {I know, I'm VERY, VERY late on that! It's my fault for being a suspenseful roleplayer!} But we have to get a couple things out of the way first before I can expose it, otherwise, it'll mess up the things I have planned already.

Hey guys.
I have an idea for an RP that all of us can be a part of.
It takes place countless years after our main characters rid the nintendo worlds of evil. However evil is starting to come back in the form of new enemies (i.e. the new Ganondorf of Hyrule and such) but since the original heroes are long gone, only the decendants remain.
The story starts in a classroom at a local academy with the descendants of Chaostro, G2, Melee master, and Shadow Dragon gather together for class, but then some event happens later that day to where their true power within starts to awaken.
Soon they will be given the task by an old friend of the original heroes to get rid of this new evil.
How does it sound? Does it need improvement?

...I don't know. If you do that, and then you want to create a sequel RP, you got to remember that your main characters are dead, unless something happens at the end that makes time go backwards.
And besides, my Dragon characters would still be alive since their aging process ceased some time ago, and to be honest, I'm not ready to give them up anytime soon, even for one RP. I'm ashamed to say that I'm far too attached to them.
You can do what you want, however, I'm just giving you my opinion, that's all.

All right, now in the Great Battle RP, I'm giving you guys the choice on what our characters do after they leave the islands, which is going to be the prologue of my 3rd RP. Where do they go, and do they stay together or separate? What characters will you be using at the beginning? Keep in mind that you don't have to use the same ones that you've used in the last story.
I myself already have characters planned out, as well as a few story events, but I purposely don't have a set plot because I want to try and get a good start.
Please let me know your ideas!

Well, I figure that Vava and Frostmire end up going back to their homes, whereas Blitz decides to go solo again.
I may have Blitz join in the third, but I'm not sure I want to.

You can also bring Vile back, if you want, but you'll have to make his revival fit into the storyline somehow (in the 3rd RP). If not, then I'll give you time to think of what characters you want to bring to the RP, and that goes for the rest of you, too!!

I want you to cue me in on a part of the RP. They(Myself, Ganondorf and Gangrel(the son of the clone)) won't be in unless the others are in danger. Would that be OK, with you?

Well to be honest Vile was more of a trial character, as was Vava. I made both to see who I'd like better, and Vava was the result.
So I'm not really planning on bringing him back.

Ok then, that's fine, too, Chaostro. And Ganondorf2, you want me to tell you when you can come into the RP? I was planning on making a slow start, like our characters relaxing after such a big fight in my last RP, and then stuff will happen after a few pages or less. I'm guessing you want to come in after that something occurs?

Like I said man, I'm not entirely sure I should be apart of the next RP.
I can never keep up with previous posts because by the time I remember to post, it's hundreds of posts back that I need to go, even if you guys decided to wait for me.
So give me a little time to think on wether or not I want to be a part of it, and then I'll get back to the whole cue system

Whether or not you wish to participate is up to you, and if you choose not to, then I understand.
But to make sure: anyone who wants to participate in my next RP, SPEAK...UP...NOW!!

Melee: Glad to hear that.
Chaostro: I'm not forcing you to join or anything. It's entirely your decision on whether you want to join or not, all right?!
Ganondorf2: I see now.

Is it possible to make a thread on RP Character theme songs and battle themes?
|
|
|
Post by Shadow Dragon on Dec 11, 2010 4:19:39 GMT -5
Apologies for my late response. I've seen several forums that have threads like what you just said. I think that sounds pretty cool. I also got Melee's PM about having a song to fit each character's form. I also think that's a good idea.
The only problem is if the thread were to be created, I would recommend it to be pinned, and since the admins stopped coming to this forum (in fact, I'm still waiting for a question to be answered...which I've sent Dec 4, 2008!), that may not be possible. So instead, just post the songs in your character's profile pages for now! It might be more time consuming, but you guys are the one who wanted this.

It's been added to the profile template, so check it out when you get the chance.
Ok, what do you do when you want to kill a certain person, but don't have the heart to? I'm struggling between killing or keeping a character of mine (not telling you who). However, if I do kill him/her off, I want it to be more shocking and emotional than what I've done in the past, but for some reason, I'm running on empty. Any ideas, guys?

I like keeping my RP characters, too, though I've killed characters off in my Cold Spirit fanfic, but they were caused by freak accidents. From what I've seen in your RP's so far, your characters were killed by murder. Why not make a death more of an accident or by a sickness, and to make it more sad depends how close all your characters are, I guess. I don't have any ideas to make them more sad and tragic, since I haven't worked on my story in quite some time.
Your best bet would be to look through Google or Wikihow and see what they give you. Sorry.
