This is where we can discuss ideas about future RPs before we make new ones to see if it would be good enough to make on right away, or if it needs work.
And to also discuss the rules of the RP forum.

You can always review the rules at the RP Rules section and ask questions there, but I guess this is ok too. I WAS gonna ask for the Rules to be locked, but I'm having second thoughts. Also, a place to suggest RP ideas for the threads sounds like a good idea as long as rules aren't broken and such. This also prevents pointless Out Of Character posts in the RP threads. It's always good to keep things like this organized.
This thread should also be used to suggest ideas for existing RP's as well. What do you think? If you agree, then I'll ask for this thread to be pinned up.

I think that it is a good idea. This way if someone is thiniking about making a new RP thread, then they can give an idea of what they wanted, then we could discuss some ideas to see if we can change it enough to fit the rules.

I've been thinking of a Battle Arena RP. I'm still unsure about using " all the time while speaking though...Everything else is OK.

I second that on your rule Shadow dragon, but it would make the RP seem to come to life.An RP about the battle arena with the usual
Chaostro101:Talking like this
Instead of "Talking like this.".
We fully respect your decision Shadow Dragon and we understand how you are hardcore strict when it comes to role play, but can we please use
Chaostro101: This type of chat style?

We don't need an RP arena because we already have an arena like that. Also, why do you need a chat style RP? Because asterisks are not allowed? I said 'From now on, RP's have to be in Story format'!! Chat RP's are also not allowed. I might change my mind someday, but until then, just live with the Story format! If your not use to it {yet}, then go to other RP boards and practice until you got the hang of it.

OK, I'll change that(Title wise). It's like your RP, real places(New York for example), and in your rules. However, it's seven years later.

I've already got the hang of the story type RP's, because I'm a member of an EZ Board that has an RP like that. The main problem is the plot and what my character is suppose to do to get involved like everyone else. Even if I read through it, I still can't understand it. I'm kinda slow at stuff like that.

I have an idea for a new thread, but I'm not sure if it is a good idea.
The idea is that we all get back together for a reunion after two years, our own characters and two of our side characters. But then word gets out that an evil organization is threatening to destroy the earth and the world of nintendo.
The problem is that I don't know if I should go with it and give it a shot, or if it needs more work and thought.
Any suggestions guys?

Same here, but I suggest you give it more work and thought before posting the RP so that it'll run smoothly. You shouldn't rush a new RP, because that might cause confusion between roleplayers and it might cause the thread to be cluttered with meaningless junk that possibly don't follow the thread, if you know what I mean.

I see your point.
Well, so far the rp is going good for me.

I was thinking of creating a major RP thread someday. It'll be almost like what you guys are doing with your RP's, but it'll have a serious plot involved and there will probably have to be more than three or four members joining, and the plot can go something like....like a vampire stalking people, biting them, and making them his minions or something, and tries to control them and make them destroy an important thing or whatever. Or maybe something more serious than that!
I wasn't always good with plots, so bear with me here! The only problem is; huge events like that are more likely to get out of hand than RP's with small, multiple plots. That's why I said that whenever one is created, it needs to be under heavy and serious watch by one or two admins if they're willing to do that and/or join the RP, but seeing that they don't come here every day, which I don't really blame them for, the huge RP might not ever happen! I'll have to give it some deadly serious thought before I create it!
I'll have to think and sort everything out of how we're going to do this without confusing members and screwing up the RP. RP's with major plots will be more heavily watched and will be stricter than other RP's, so this will take awhile to figure out. Until then, ideas for a plot are welcome!

Sounds hard but I'm sure you can pull it off SD.
I have a few suggestions for you though.
One way to avoid major confusion is to limit the characters one could play, for instance we can play our main characters but along with that, one of our secondary characters, that way if me, melee master, and g2 decided to join, then we'd each have two characters to play as.
Another suggestion is that if you are going to make an evil vampire character, there are two types that I've thought up.Try and think up one that can live in sunlight and nightlife, but he is at his strongest during the night.Or make a vampire that could die in the sun, but make him almost invincible in the night, as most vampires are.
Another suggestion is to give us weapon and ability upgrades for both primary and secondary characters, you could think up the type of weapon, say if it's enchanted, cursed, evil, good, neutral, etc.
Along with the weapon idea, we should tell you the types of weapons we use most of the time.My character uses a massive two handed sword, but he is strong enough to weild two at once.G2 uses a similar sword style, and melee master uses katanas.
AT the same time, you need to think about the types of enemies we'll face, how many years after our characters became what they are now, and wether we'll need items or not.
Those are the suggestions dude, hope they will help you out.

You guys can choose the weapons you want just as long as the weapon isn't the type to destroy everything in it's wake, if you know what I mean! And the character limit sounds like a very good idea. No offense, but that's what mostly clutters the RP's. I was also thinking that if I create a vampire or vampire-like character, it wouldn't be able to die, but it can be sealed somehow. We just got to figure out how to do it, and go through a bunch of tasks before getting rid of it. And I know 'god-modding' is against the RP rules, but it's ok as long as you think of another way to take the enemy out, I suppose. I'm only doing this ONE time, however, and that's for the large RP!
And the weapon upgrade sounds like a good idea. However, if I get to choose what upgrade you'll have, it might cause a riot, but if I let you guys choose what you want, things might get out of hand, and we don't want that! So I'm not sure how that's gonna work out.
As for facing enemies; I really haven't came across that one yet. I'll still need more time to figure that out as well. Thanks Chaostro!

Hey no problem!
Here's another suggestion, when you want a really powerful villain, I'd go for something I saw in a game or a cartoon/movie that I saw once. For example, say Imotep from the mummy, he was afraid of cats, but he gradually became powerfull as he sucked his victim's essences out.
And I see what you mean about the choosing of weapons. One way to do it is to gradually give us stronger and stronger weapons, working up from the originals to weapons that are strong enough to do serious damage to the final boss, but not enough to PWN him.
One thing to remember though, never give a weapon once then wait for the next bioss fight to give the new weapon to someone else.Give us each weapons after each boss fight, that way it's fair and doesn't make it complicated.

Ok, that'll work! Right now, I'm kinda brainstorming for plot ideas. The things I have are:
Choice #1: A fire Dragon awaking from what was suppose to be a 4,000 year dormant volcano and causing havoc on an Island we were assigned by the government to go to. Several of us call a meeting to a rent house we're staying at on the island to discuss what has awoken the fire Dragon and where he/she might be located.
Choice #2: A Vampire Lord covering the lands in darkness and seeks out to wreak havoc on the world (Or smaller), and to help him/her, she/he tricks and bites selected people and tries to make them his/her minions, but some wills are stronger than others and will still be in the good side, but because of their vampire instinct, any trace of blood will set them off and will try to bite the person who has blood showing. They still help out to seal the Vampire Lord, however. Note: the person that is attacked by the vampire chooses to be bitten. For example: Let's say that Vormen has become a vampire and attacks Frostmire. Vormen tackles Frostmire to the ground and lunges at his neck to bite him. Chaostro can make Frostmire attack Vormen, or he may not be quick enough to react and gets bitten, turning him into a vampire himself. If you get attacked by a vampire and they attempt to bite you or your secondary characters, YOU choose whether or not you want to be bitten! And don't worry, there will be something to lift the vampire curse later.
I'm still searching for ideas, but right now, these might be good enough. I just have to work on them a bit more, and help is needed if we want to make the RP successful!

No offence, but the first one doesn't work well because our characters hate the government.
And the problem with the vampire idea is that me and G2 both have characters who are either part or already a vampire, so that would seem unfair.
Try something along the lines of an ancient evil being who rose up because of a careless greedy fool who thought he was going to get rich, but instead was possesed by the evil being, allowing it to wreak havic upon the world once more, exacting it's 2000 year old revenge for what his people did to him melinia ago.

I was hoping either of those would work, but whatever! I understand. And the third idea might not work out, either. Sorry. I was thinking of doing a medivel type RP before my other one was created, but that's currently scrapped now.
I'll continue to look for ideas, but it might take awhile.

You bet, good luck.
Try and watch some horror movies, that's another good way to come up with a villain.

Oooh, I got one! How about this: We travel to an unknown land and we meet up with each other later in the RP. A couple of us discover that the lands are being covered in a hard crystal, and we see a large crystal castle in the middle of the dying land, which is protected by a powerful forcefield in which we have to find a way to break it. A villan is inside the castle, but we don't know until much later.
Shadow Dragon, you get to choose why the villan is doing this and how evil he or she is. So how about it?

Crystal? Why crystal? Oh whatever. Your idea doesn't sound very major, though. Try to give more thought and give out more detail on your RP idea and I may take it into consideration if the others agree with it, too!

Like I said; work on the same idea for awhile and then talk to me about it. We need more people to participate in the RP's to make ideas easier, and I'm still holding onto the huge RP idea! We just need ideas and more people to join.

Not sure. Also, I think I'm gonna give up on having a huge RP plot for awhile. It's getting a bit stressful trying to come up with an idea that everyone agrees with {I knew d*mn well this was gonna happen from the start}. I might start the debate back up some other day.

If your having trouble coming up with ideas, this is the place to discuss them. Speaking of which, I'm working on my next RP, but the current one has to be completed first. There's no need to rush since I haven't gotten everything down yet, and I still have one or two things I want to add to the Dragon Resurrection RP first.
