Well, since the Chatroom is out of the question, I wanted to post a topic where people can just sit and talk about whatever they desire or...something.
Starting off, how can a person tell what his/her Animal Spirit Guide is? (That is, if you believe in that kind of stuff. I sure do!) I've been looking around the internet for it, but it doesn't seem to have an answer.

Dang it! Oh well, I'll keep looking then. I'm trying to think of what to draw to put up on DeviantArt.com. I'd draw something for this website, but I've already sent an art piece, which was originally for the old website. I've sent it on the 23rd of September, but it was never put up, and I don't understand why! I'd send a fanfiction, but it's too early for that. I have to wait until I play Brawl before I can get some fanfic ideas. I'd send some fanfictions about Super Smash Brothers Melee, but its almost to the end of its life. And even if I did, I doubt its going to be put up, anyway. And I have writers block right now.
What do you think I should draw?

Wario! Just kidding...
How about Link or Bowser, unless you need a harder more detailed character, I'm not sure. Wait have you tried Sonic?(I know he's not Nintendo, but still)
Oh, forgot. I'm not sure if he's going to be in Brawl anyway.(be sweet though)

I'm afraid Link is out of the question. And Bowser is also hard. There are certain characters I can draw, and certain characters I can't. But the main problem I have when it comes to drawing characters is the face; I can NEVER get the face right everytime I draw someone, even if I sketch it. Sorry. But I did manage to get Sonic done. www.deviantart.com/deviation/34736540/If there's anything else you want me to draw for ya, or anyone else that want me to draw something for him/her, I'm open for requests!

That's pretty good. I can't sketch things off my head, I have to see it. My only problem is drawing hands.

Thanks! Sometimes, I have to look at a picture in order to draw it, too. The main problem I have is drawing humans. I still need to practice a lot on them.

No problem with people like Link and Ganondorf, however if I tried something more lifelike(like Snake) I might have a harder time.

I think Ganondorf is way too hard to draw. I drew Bowser one time, but it turned out crappy. And I can't draw either of the swordsmen; they're also too hard. Zelda and Sheik are also hard to draw. I drew Pikachu, Pichu, Mario, Luigi, Fox, which I still need practice on, Bowser, Jigglypuff, Samus, and Falco. And that's all I remember so far. The rest I need to work on a bit more.

Ones I can draw:
Link Mario Luigi(once) Bowser(once) Ganondorf Samus(once) Kirby(too easy) Pikachu Y. Link(once)
Earlier I did the most detailed drawing I have ever done. Think this, the triforce. The top piece(the Trifoce of Power) covered in flames, the left piece(the Trifoce of Wisdom) making water droplets, and the right piece (the Triforce of Courage) has vines and flowers covering it. The Master Sword is stabbing through the middle of the symbol on the right side. Ganondorf's sword is doing the same thing, but is on the left side and the blade is under the Master Sword's blade. It turned out awesome.

I'd try, but not right now because I gave it to my teacher for marking. I'll get it back, but not right away.

I also need a fanfic idea, and I keep hearing that people are disappointed about the characters being, or might be in Brawl. Think of it this way: If your favorite character makes it to the game, and so did your worst, you can take out your hatred and anger by using your favorite one to beat the living crap out of your most hated one! That's what I'm planning on doing!
By the way Pommy, when is my artwork going to be put up? I want to send another, but I can't as long as you still have the one I've sent you on September!

Dang!!! That's real good! Seriously, I like that!! I can't draw like that! Besides having trouble of drawing humans, I usually have the most trouble when it comes to shading. How did you do that?

I'm glad you like that. I never had leasons or anything like that, but I have to "blaim" my mom as she had to draw things the hard way. Also watching a art show helped as well.

I try to find some tips on the Internet. Right now, I'm trying to find the best way to draw a human and how to shade well. I'm also trying to find the easiest way to create a manga or comic. Drawing one is harder than I thought. Besides all that, as soon as I learn how to draw a human, I'm going to start drawing scenes from my current fanfiction.
The main thing I want to get done first is to draw a character from the fanfic. I created him to juice the story up a bit, but he existed back in the 6th century. I know what he's suppose to look like, I just can't create him the way I want on paper. The main thing I'm having trouble is the eyes and the hair. I can't imagine his eyes yet, but the way I have his hair is clear in my mind, I just can't seem to draw it. But here's what I imagined his looks.
He's between seventeen and nineteen years old. He has long, messy brown hair that reached to the end of his back, and he had on some red chest armor that had a golden eagle on the front, as well as a brown shirt underneath. He had on brown baggy pants, and his eyes were dark brown as well. Eventhough he was Japanese, he looked much, much like an American. His pale skin was a bit dirty, and because he looked messy and his cloths were a bit torn, he looked almost like a runaway, or a person that has been thrown out and living on the streets, but that was because he had just been in a fight, several, in fact.
He is in three chapters of my fanfic. To find out what happened to him, you'll have to read them.
By the way, do you take requests? If you do, I wanted you to draw something for me. I'm not going to ask you to draw the character I mentioned, if that's what you were wondering. lol!

Think you can draw Wolf Link and human Link with the Twilight Princess title on the top of the paper?

Ugh, that sound's a little hard. I'm not that good. However I can try, but I'm not sure of the logo. Also, I never drew a wolf before. But then again, I don't mind a challenge. It will take some time, but in the mean time, is there anything else you'd like?
BTW, I can give you tips on shading if you want me to explain.

It's pretty simple to say, not to do(sort of).
Now think of a character, I'll say Mario for an example. If you have noticed there's lighting around him in the video games he's in? Now lets say he's facing you and the lighting is on the left side, if you narrow your eyes, you can see the darkness on his right side and that's where you shade.
Either you have different types of pencils(from hard to soft) or a single pencil they will work.
Mario's right side(when he's facing you), like I said is the shading area. If you have one pencil: to get the darkest shade, press hard on the paper and, in this case, around the area that is at the edge(the side of his leg, arms, and body).
To get medium shade, press simihard(not hard and not light)on the paper around the darkest till you are starting(but not to close) to the middle of the the pic(namely start to touch Mario's knee, elbow, and belly.
Last but not least, light shade. Press the pencil very lightly on the paper to get the lightest shade, showing it's about to touch the light.
One more thing: try to make it as realistic as possible. Like if Mario looks like he's walking towards you, try to shade areas that you know where the joints are(example: the arm)because if the joint is closed, light doesn't catch there(unless the light is elsewhere, where it can catch, like above the character)
Not simple, but sometimes I only use one type of shade(which is medium), unless the pic is more complex.

This is one of my earlier sketches I've done in December. You like it? Oh, and here's a tip. You might want to add your signature close to the character or something so that people won't steal and take credit for your artwork, whether its real life or posting it somewhere in cyberspace. When I'm posting my art in cyberspace, I use a pencil. But when I'm showing it off, like in school for example, I always put my signature in ink, or pen, so that people won't take off with it or something. And don't use a fake name, because people are most likely to steal it and use that name. Instead, either put your real name in there, or your real name initials. If you don't want people to find out what your real name or your real initials, write it in your own way so that its hard to read, like I did, or something. But if you do that to one artwork, you'll have to do that to all of them so that people know its you that drew the art. You can also put the date of when you drew it. Every time I put down my signature on my art, I always put down the year I drew it, although its not recommended.

I like the picture, it's cute.
I put my name on it, but there's a problem. As you saw my pic, it was so blurry, even If I put my sig on it, it can't be seen.
I put the date on there, but like I said before is too burry to be seen. It was done in 3/20/05.

Yeah, I can't see it at all. Here's another helpful tip: If you post it somewhere, like on Fanart Central or DeviantArt, add it more clearly so that people will know you own the pic, and write it to where people won't take and edit the sig out. I always try to put mine as close to the picture as I possibly can. Placing it inside the picture will lower the rate of it getting stolen and editing. The one I mentioned earlier will also work well.
If drawing Wolf Link will take time, then how about drawing Zelda and Sheik fighting each other? I don't care if you put a stage with it, but if you do, it could be anyplace you want. Whatever is easier for you to do.

Post by ganondorf2 on Jun 16, 2006 15:12:50 GMT -5
Problem: My computer doesn't have the the things that able me to put my sig there. So I'm going to have to live with it.
However, I lengthened the Title above the pic in the site, so they have a hard time. You'll know if I show another pic.
BTW, I have three more pics to show you. Want to see?
