I was about to say something back to that, but I didn't want to give him ammo, but when the four armed monster walked over to me and I said, "You forgot one thing with humans. What would you do if something they made...kills everything with no remorse but they live and are emune to it? What would you say then? Happened before."

This was a hint of many years ago. I'm sure he doesn't know about it, but better to warn just the same.

"We'll worry about it then, but for now, I'll take pity and spare you this time, but I trust you'll use this time to put your priorities in order before facing us again." said Archion.

"We will, IF you promise to control your minions better," hissed Zali.

A dark portal opens up and Archion turns around and walks into it. Zali looked out the corner of his eye as the vampire half-blood vanishes into the portal. Afterwards, the scar-faced dragon sighs and turns his eyes to the ground. Even though it didn't quell his silent fury toward the situation, the street dragon leader knew Archion was right. He felt no remorse as he walks over to us and bends down, placing his hand on Sparky's cheek.

"I should've done something before," said Brandon.

Zali shook his head, "Don't worry about it. That wouldn't have made a difference and you know it,"

"Appreciate you defending me, Zali, but your effort is wasted."

"Shut up!" Zali suddenly hissed, catching our attention.

"Zali-"

"I'm so sick of this self-discrepancy with you people!" Zali stood and turns to us, his leadership instinct kicked in, "No one is to blame for this, and I won't sit and listen to anyone apologizing when they have nothing to apologize for!! What happened happened, and there's nothing we can do about it now but to keep moving!"

No one in my group said anything. I manage to cry myself out, however, but kept my head facing the ground while listening in.

"Now we have one member of our group dead, and one incapacitated," he was referring to Samantha, "and now that we know what we're really up against, we can't be taking those guys with a grain of salt, and start taking them more seriously, even if they refuse to show it themselves! Understand? No more mocking them or fooling around," he directed that at Nova, as well as all of us, "or going at them alone!! From now on, we all go as a team, because they've been doing the same! And when we strike, we need to strike hard, and where it counts!"

"And where would that be?" asked Ed, "Their fortress is gone! Are you even sure you know what you're talking about? We fight them, we come back at us two-fold!"

"Yeah, but some of their clan members are dumb as dirt, so numbers don't make a difference," Luke told him.

That hurt Nova a lot. He's never alone even he looks it he is and thats why he want people to stay back. He didn't say anything to this however and changed back to normal before placing his hand on the very spot in his chest Sparks was stabbed at and walked off and said, "Excuse me."

"Oh no," I said, "He tried to hide it again..."

"Hide what?" asked Zali with curiosity.

"Zali...there's another reason he goes 'alone'. Anyone hurt near him, he gets hurt at the same time. Destiny Bond is what its called..." I said, "The 'mocking' was a test so he gets targeted, not anyone else, now he's going to be more determined to make it happen. You saw how was with Nemesis."

I sigh and adds, "Now there's another scream added to his head."

"Scream?" asked Zali.

"Don't ask," Brandon told him, remembering this from Nova when Zephon died months back, "it's not something you can easily understand. I still have a hard time with it myself."

Haku makes it back to us and realized he was too late. Sadly, there wasn't anything he could've done to help anyway, even if he wanted to. However, he overheard and understood, "In spite of this loss, we have to keep moving. Archion may have given us a break, but I'm sure he's planning a counter attack as we speak."

Zali nods in agreement as he stands, "Right."

"So what are you going to do when you reach him?" asked Vincet.

"Listen," Ed stepped up, "I know you were an ex-member and all, but I am so sick of you constantly speaking highly of that clan when you're really suppose to be helping us!! Give me one good reason why we shouldn't believe you're secretly working for them!"

"Do you even have a plan aside from revenge?" Vincet countered, "If you go in with the emotional state you're in now, you'll be overwhelmed. Give yourselves some time to cool down, then once your heads and hearts are clear...we'll strike then. THAT'S what I'm saying."

"Vincent is right; even I can sense that your moral is down," agreed Haku, "and obviously the clan doesn't want to bother with us in this state, or they would've attacked instead of leave us. I'll give them credit for that much... We can't go into another battle as we are, not like this."

After sitting in silence for a while, I turn to the group, face still red as well as blood spots from before.

"So, what are you going to do with him?" Zali asks me about Sparky.

I sniffled, "Why are you asking me?" my voice still hoarse from crying. My mind was still clouded with grief, so I couldn't think straight anyway, although I knew I had to accept and move on eventually, but while it was easy for some, it was hard on others...

Brandon thought for a moment before turning to Ganondorf2 on this, "You don't think that...is it still possible?"

"Ganondorf makes the call, as well someone higher than him...big guy knows how to hide secrets of a person's fate."

I look at the body, "I did notice one thing however. He was eyeing Sparks with sadness."

"Probably for the best," said Zelos, "could be trouble if you know too much about your own fate anyway."

"I agree," said Brandon.

"Hm?" Zali turns to Ganondorf2 on that.

"I think he was told of what would happen to him," I regret saying, "He roared in rage as he had hoped it wasn't true."

"And look what happened..." sighed Ed.

"OK, enough," said Luke.

"If you all are still in no condition to do anything, then let's get out from the open to a safe place and rest," said Zali, "we'll figure out what to do from there."

"Might as well head back to the castles," I said before I spot Nova walking back, "You ok?"

"Am now. I needed to get my mind in check or rather shut up."

"I tried to explain to Zali about your...condition. I might have worded it wrong or something."

"Might be best to head back before I make it simpler. Though we still have a problem."

He was looking at Bowser at the time when he said that and I said, "Oh yeah...hard to take him back..."

"That's exactly what I was thinking," said Zali, "I want to check on Samantha anyway."

"Zali, she-" Luke tried to speak.

Zali narrowed his eyes, "Yeah...we're gonna have to tell her what happened to Shawn."

"How well do you think she'll take it?"

"As well as we did, I'm sure," Brian said sarcastically, but he was right.

"If Athena flipped out..." I fear, before I hear a large sneeze from Bowser before I see him change back to normal and not have the oil on him.

"Well, that went great as I expected," he said, "I think I'll stick with the old plan."

"You didn't go mad?" Ganondorf asked in shock.

"Couldn't speak, but that's the only thing. You might want to look at that wound..."

Nova looked at his stomach to see the hole still present, and said, "I wish I never had that ability..."

"Eugh!" spat Kyle, "You all right after that?"

"Might want to get that tended to," said Tristan.

"He's fine," I said, "With what he's got, this is mild."

The wound quickly healed as I said that, as Nova asked, "This is to those who wonder why I rather be the target of a battle. I know, it's messed up."

The four armed monster laughs to this.

"That makes sense," said Tristan.

"Yeah, but does it ever become bad enough where that healing won't work for you?" asked Ed.

"Um..." I sounded while looking away.

"Best you don't ask that...I freaked out too many people when I answered that question..." Nova said. Telling the truth of what he can do in the healing aspect might make things worse.

One of the monsters that Nova summoned looked at Sparks and scratches its head.

"Not to change the subject but..." I said.

"I know...what can we do about him?"

"Something just occurred to me," said Kyle, "the clan was here, but where was Tikal? Wasn't he suppose to be with them?"

"Best that he isn't, in this case," Brandon said as he watches Haku walk over and bends down to Sparky's body.

"So...what now?" asked Luke, "Now that we know the clan aren't messing around, or at least their blood thirsty minions aren't...what's the plan?"

"We'll figure that out later, but right now, we need some R&R," said Zali, "continuing as we are now will only stress us out further."

"Yeah," agreed Zelos.

"But what about...I mean..." Brian turns to the body, then after hearing Ganondorf2, "we can't just leave him here."

"The ground is too solid for even dragon claws to dig through," said Haku, looking at the body, "and burning will catch unwanted attention."

"Are you suggesting we take him with us?"

"At least until we can figure out a safer way to lay him to rest, then yes."

"Stop it!!" my voice hoarse, I finally had enough, making the gang turn to me "just...stop!" I then sigh to calm down, still upset, but tired of this nonsense, "This shouldn't even...be a f*cking issue! Stop dragging this out...and make a decision!"

"Then what do you suggest we do?" asked Zali, but I didn't answer.

Haku stares at the ground in deep thought, but didn't say anything to anyone.

"I got a place," Nova said calmly, knowing the feeling all to well, then to the flying monsters, he pointed to the body then the castles. They nod and carefully pick him up before taking him to the castles as he said, "The grounds at the castles are soft if you wish for normal burial, and we have fire types for cremation. The smoke won't be seen either. Maybe you will get a chance to talk to one fellow there...I'm sure you want to ask questions on."

"Are you talking about Aeon?" I asked.

"Yes and I'll be brutally honest, I have the power to revive people...but in this time line, sadly, I had back off. If you wish to scream at someone, it's him," he said in a serious tone.

Zali didn't say anything as he watches the monster take the body away, and before he could even get a word in, Ed shouts, "You what?! You mean all this time, you could've...then why did you...!!!"

"Calm down, Ed!" Zali told him.

"You know how much help that would've been if we known that first ha-no, if you had f*cking told us from the start?!?!!"

"Ed," I manage to speak out, "it's not that simple!"

"How so?!" he sharply turns to me, "Tell me how the hell is a simple power such as REVIVNG THE F*CKING DEAD not that f*cking simple?! Tell me!"

"Ed, your anger is justifiable, but you're going to stress us out more than we already are!" Brandon told him.

"Again, take it out on him, not me. I'm not happy about it either," he ends it and flew off toward the castles, I followed afterward.

"Oh, trust me, I will!" Ed replied, cracking his knuckles in response.

"Aeon's not someone you should mess with," Brandon told him, "his powers would repel anything you throw at him."

"That good, huh?" Luke asked.

The rest of us try to decide if we should follow or stay.

"Also known as the time keeper," I said, "So he'll know exactly what your going to do. He has his reasons, so for all I know, Nova might have a revival go wrong this time, thus why he didn't do it."

"Like what?" asked Ed.

"Lots of factors," replied Brandon, "I can't specify what would go wrong, though. Though if it's their time when they die, then nothing can be done to bring that individual back, and sometimes, albeit rare, if they've been revived once, then that's all they get."

"And not even reversing time can help with that?" asked Zelos.

"Again, it greatly depends on the factor,"

"Here's a few examples to think about: What if the wound doesn't heal right and causes an infection? Or how he fell caused a brain injury that might cause him blindness? Things like that. Think about it." I said before taking off towards the castle.

[Shadow Dragon]

"Those are the factors I was talking about," said Brandon, following along, "with one, many months ago...we revived him once with no issue, only for him to be crushed in a demon's jaws."

"What?" gasped Kyle.

"Yeah, you mentioned that once before, right?" Zelos asked, "Is he the one who was killed by this Kaiser demon?"

"Had he had survived today, or revived after death, he'd be bed ridden and paralyzed," the prince continued, "and he himself knew that, so...well, you can imagine."

"Died on his own accord, huh?" asked Tristan.

"Unfortunately, but that's why when it comes to revivals, we have to be careful," Brandon sighed, "at least Jackie was lucky to have no problems when he was revived."

"So what was his story?" asked Zelos.

"Killed by the same demon that killed Zephon,"

"I'm sorry, who?"

"The one crushed by Kaiser..."

Zelos blinked, "Just what the hell went on with you guys after you left the island? I mean, I know of the demons, Haku told me that story, but..."

"Spare the details," sighed Brian, "I don't have the mental energy to figure out what's what and who's who right now."

"Thus why we are holding him back at our place. I need to get over there anyway to make sure our ghost type pokemon don't get any ideas with him. They can make it worse in so many ways..." I said, and spoted Ganondorf talking to someone at the castles gates, "Speak of the time keeper."

"Thank you Nova. Now hurry along Time is of the essence, " the man said to which the clone nods and flies off.

"I'd hate to know what," replied Ed.

In spite of Aeon turning back injuries on our friends before, they were lucky it wasn't their time. For Sparky, however, it was uncertain, yet the shock of watching a long time friend be killed reminded me of another friend who was killed and I couldn't save him, so my shock and grief were justified. Still, whatever is to happen next, I prayed it will be in our favor.

"That's him?" Zali asks as he watches.

"Yes it is," I said as I land, "Note that weapon he has with him."
