Soul Edge did just that and changed.

"You're not going to join the fun? I'll make you!" Ganondorf said, before stomping the ground with great force making the land break apart. He sent giant pieces of it at the dragons that are watching with great power from the sound of a sonic boom.

That was the hint I needed, and vanished from view.

Gripping Soul Edge with both hands, Sparky rushes toward the knights and swings the blade with all his might, managing to cut down one, and injure another. The three leaders, wings extended, fly in the air to dodge the rocks before Zagan sends a bolt of electricity at Ganondorf for that move.

That's when he made the blades disappear and got out his trident all in one move and threw it at Zagan, the weapon taking the bolt before placing two fingers to the side on his head.

That's when I reappear behind Zagan, at the ready. Being able to change your size at will, comes in handy.

At this time, the castles slowly move closer to the group, but so slow you couldn't tell.

Zagan manage to dodge the weapon, but was unaware of Ganondorf2.

"Uncle, behind you!!" shouted Amalyth as she senses this.

The knights suddenly stop their assault on the rest of us to watch their leaders fight this time. We, however, took advantage and killed the nearby knights while they were distracted, before rushing over to Ganondorf and Ganondorf2 to help them out.

Meanwhile, one of the knights broke away from the fight to locate the great dragon. He spots the large dragon laying on the grassless field, appearing to be injured and breathing heavily. Curious, the knight rushes over to him to ensure that he was all right, only to be impaled through the back by an icicle, and falling to the ground, dead.

Haku walked out from behind the dead knight, right hand glowing blue before fading.

"THIS is what happens when you take advantage of a legend's power!" hissed Tikal at the dead knight, standing on all fours as his wounds healed thanks to Haku, "If the clan don't throw out their arrogance, they'll surely lose this battle."

"Arrogance?" Haku questioned.

"Forcing a legendary dragon to help cause bloodshed, when he clearly said he wanted no part of it...and believing he would support their cause," he stops and glares at the sky, "and underestimating their opponents; that shows the level of arrogance they posses."

"But as long as they believe you're on their side and treat you like a deity," Haku replied, "they won't hurt you."

"Said the actual deity himself who completely misses the point..."

Haku didn't reply.

"Every creature, be it man or beast who has sought vengeance, contributes to their own downfall. I so very tire of this."

"So then, what are you going to do?"

"Wrong move, learn your foe," I said to Zaman as Nova made the weapon home in on the dragon from his thoughts and I disappear in the chaos.

Zagan didn't reply, but charged up and sent a bolt of electricity down at Ganondorf2 for that remark. Archion moved forward to assist, only to be stopped by Brandon when he shot out a blue aura from his hand at him, which missed.

"You're fight is with me!" the prince told him, "Isn't that what you want?"

"Step aside!" Archion growled.

All the knights didn't make a single move, but were on standby just in case. We, however, made it to our destination and, except Zali, stood beside Ganondorf2 and Nova.

"You fight them, you fight all of us!" shouted Brian before watching Ganondorf2 disappear, "Huh?"

"Get out of the way, you idiots!" Zali warned, "They might have something planned!"

"Over here," I said as I reappear again near our team then to the three foes, "Just watch your back. More so Ganondorf as he can control that trident with his thoughts"

The trident flew at Zagan again as I taunt them. I also watched out for something, I sensed something hiding

"Look out!" shouted Amalyth as she sees Zagan try to stop the trident with his own, but missed.

Meanwhile, as the fight with us and the three leaders were taking place, one knight slowly and quietly made his way toward us, sword clinched tightly in his armored fist.

A roar was heard at the knight getting my team's attention, before something lands in front of us and stood tall.



"Monster in the field!" I shout.

Maxwell flies in now and changed back to human.

[Shadow Dragon]

The knight, however, knew it was now or never. With his sword drawn, he charges toward us. I took out my sword and clash it with the knight's blade, while the rest of the knights charge toward the monster.

"Too bad for you," hissed the knight, "I'm just a diversion!"

"What do you mean?" I strained, and managing to push him back...or he had allowed himself to be pushed back...

...before the sound of a blade ripping through flesh was heard, and when I turned to the source, my eyes widen with fear and my blood ran cold.

I had just witnessed Sparky taking a fatal blow.

Two of the knights had managed to sneak their way to us, and both swords impaled Sparky; one through the chest, and one through his back, then threw him away. He then hit the ground on his back, losing his grip on Soul Edge in the process.

"Shawn...!!!!" I scream out Sparky's real name as I rush over to the injured gang member who then lay bleeding on the ground.

"Curse you!" I said.

Soul Edge began to react now, violently, to this and start to change and turn into something else because of that before it towered over the knights and it swiped at them with it's massive claw.

Ganondorf was now in rage himself

Hearing my scream, Kyle rushes over as well, "No!!"

This actually surprises the clan leaders as well, Archion roaring out to the knight in question, "What are you idiots doing?!! I didn't authorize any killings!"

Zali turns to Archion in surprise after hearing this, but instead of questioning, he then rushes over to his injured gang mate. Sparky was breathing heavily, in obvious pain from the wounds inflicted on him.

"No!" Kyle yelled, "No, no, c'mon, you're gonna be OK, man!"

Ed thrashed to get the enemies off of him after hearing our screams. He rushes toward us, looking at Sparky to see the seriousness of his condition. Brandon was also in shock from this, and rushes over to examine the extent of his injuries, but no sooner did he attempt his healing process did Sparky's eyes close and slowly fell limp, and was barely breathing.

"D*mmit Shawn!" shouted Ed, "Don't you f*cking die on us!!"

"C'mon, I know you're tougher than this!!!" Tristan yelled, but received no answer.

Meanwhile, both knights manage to dodge the massive claw, in shock of the monster. They both try and repel it as long as they could.

[The Melee Master]

Melee panted as she fell on one knee, unable to keep up the fights any longer, but the scream from Shadow Dragon made her turn to see a friend taking a direct hit from one of the enemies. While rage wasn't a thing with her in this form, that doesn't mean she can't still get revenge. A blue aura shines on her sword before she throws said aura straight at the knights that injured Sparky.

"You don't know what you're doing, do you?" Maxwell mocks Archion, "You can't control your knights? That's sad." He turns to the first monster and said, "Stand down, for now." The four armed beast stood by as he continued, "Not like my creations? You are even more worthless then I thought"

It swings it's blade as well at them, intent to kill both knights.

{I better go, dang! o.O}

{OK, I'm heading out, too. I wasn't paying attention.}

Brandon then places his hand on Sparky's wounds and a faint blue aura shined from it. I held my breath, hoping that the prince's healing powers would work and not backfire like usual. After about a minute, the aura vanished, and Brandon lifted his hand, only to see that the wounds remained.

That was not a good sign, especially since Sparky was becoming lethargic from the wound as well as from blood loss!

"D*mn it!" shouted Zelos, "You can't go like this!"

"Sparky please!!" Tears streamed down my face at this realization, screaming through sobs, "Don't...don't do this to us, you idiot!"

Ed smashes his fist into the ground, also in tears, but more so out of anger. He raises his head and turns his attention to the enemies, "You...!"

The knights distance themselves from the monsters, and dodge Melee's attack as they saw it coming. They both rush toward us as rage and fury began to overwhelm me and the draconic gang, except Zali anyway. We let our draconic instinct take control and us dragons, save for Haku and Zali, stood and charge after the knight as a group, managing to disarm one and rip off the armor, before we see it being cut down by Soul Edge. Blood and entrails flying everywhere as it was cut in half from the waist. Yes, we were still in our human forms, but our irrational thoughts were gone, replaced with pure bloodlust for vengeance of our own.

Vincet, Zelos, and Zali, stayed out of our way, however. Instead, they rush toward Sparky in an attempt to move him out of the crossfire, if not help him as much as they possibly could, but by looking at his injury, it wasn't promising. Meanwhile, the other knight manages to get in the way of Soul Edge before having an arm sliced clean off.

Maxwell then said as he joined, turning into his massive dragon form, "Now you have an even bigger problem Archion and not from me and this gang...but Ganondorf's rage, which not many survive from." He looking to see Nova changed into his demon form in anger before continuing, "You are marked for death by everyone in his clan. I'm not sure if I should congratulate you or mourn of your up coming death...it's a catch 22. I love those."

"All talk!" shouted one of the knights, rushing toward Maxwell for that, only to be struck down by me when I impaled my sword through his neck.

"Watch carefully," we hear Archion say to his men, "and consider this a warning to anyone who even think about disobeying our orders again!" he held his sword out to keep the rest of the knights from attacking, which thankfully they complied.

The knight who had it's arm sliced off by Soul Edge tries to escape, only for us dragons to rush in and surround him, leaving him with no escape route.

Ganondorf didn't say anything before we see the blood moon once again and making monsters appear in droves.

"Leave no survivors..." he said, in his demonic voice as twisted hands come out of the ground as well.

They all make a war cry and charge at Archion's knights.

The knights charge at the monsters, swords out and attempts to fight them off. Archion, on the other hand, stood out of the way along with Amalyth, Zagan, and Aurora. He didn't even bother recalling the knights to save them. He knew it was all over the second the one knight disobeyed orders and attempted to kill one of our own.

Nova's monsters can get the scraps if they wanted. However, me and the dragonic gang wanted the pleasure of killing the one who dealt the fatal blow to Sparky ourselves. We remained in a tight circle around the knight, cutting off escape routes, but didn't make our move yet. The knight didn't show any fear, as if he knew what was coming and just accepted it.

Nova points at Archion and made a motion with his thumb across his neck, to say 'You're dead.'

Flying monsters come in next as Maxwell smirked and laughed at this saying, clapping, "Maybe I should be lucky to witness the rage. Its very hard to anger Ganon."

Archion looked at but didn't make a move toward Nova. Meanwhile, the three of us didn't show any mercy as we began to rip the knight's armor off in fits of rage, before throwing kicks and punches at him in an attempt to make him suffer. Many beatings and kicks to the head eventually killed him, and even after he was dead, we continued to kick and punch the soldier until he was nothing but a broken pile of a blob; leaving a gruesome sight of entrails, bones, and blood.

Meanwhile, the knights of the Ironheart clan continue to try and fight off Nova's monsters, eventually being overwhelmed, and most of the knights were defeated, except for a select few that ran toward and stood with the three commanders, as well as Aurora who was whipping her tail around, itching to fight, but was held off by Zagan.

None of the clan leaders showed any signs of wanting to fight anymore, however. The moment the knight went against orders killed any and all motivation the leaders had of wanting victory, at least for today.

"Calm yourself Nova. I think they got the hint," Maxwell said.

I nod to the clone and he finally does.

The monsters roared in victory for the knights they killed.

{No problem.}

The gang and I backed away from the bloody mess, our clothes soaked with blood. We took a quick look at Sparky to see Brandon still using his powers to try and heal his wounds, but with how heavily Sparky was breathing and the way Brandon was straining, we could tell that it wasn't working. The light fades from Brandon's hands, having exhausted his stamina trying to heal Sparky, as evident by his face sweating. Backing off and sitting down, he runs his fingers through his long hair to uncling strands that stuck to his face.

"I'm so sorry," he panted sadly, fighting back tears, "I don't have the strength to keep this up."

"Doesn't seem to be working anyway..." Zelos said with a hint of anger of the situation.

Just as Zelos had said that, Sparky's heavy breathing stopped, replaced with occasional gasping but wasn't inhaling, an indicator that his life was at it's end. As my draconian instinct faded, my heart dropped upon watching him die like this, almost in a panic, even though nothing could be done to save him as we already tried. I couldn't even get myself to move my legs to run to him as I was exhausted from fighting, so instead, I dragged myself, eventually reaching him and placing my hand on his to show that I was there beside him.

However, he was so weak, his half-lidded eyes didn't even look at me. A quiet breath escaped his lungs as his body slowly laxed, and all signs of life were gone.

I start to cry and Nova snapped at the leaders, saying, "And you wonder Athena left your clan? You have no control over your own members! Maxwell is right to mock you and your pathetic existence!"

"Well said. Impressive," the demon dragon said

While the leaders didn't react to Nova's anger, Haku, Zelos, and Vincet, had their heads down, but didn't say or do anything else. Panting, Brian clinches his bloody fist as he plopped down and sobbed, while the other gang members struggled to keep their composure. Zali, however, remained stone faced and looking away from the rest of us.

I stood, stumbled back from Sparky, and sat down a few feet away from him, looking at my bloody knuckles, remembering the time I tracked down and killed a gang member for injuring a member of the former gang Sparky and I were in, but that member died anyway despite my revenge efforts, and now another of that same gang died and once again, I failed to save him. Unable to look at Sparky anymore and keeping my head down, I ran my bloody fingers through my hair as I let out a scream, more tears streaming down my face one after the other. I hunched down on my knees before breaking down into a sobbing wreck as my breaking point had been exceeded.

This was a loss I could not accept.

I started to think on the dragon in question, before hearing roar of rage from our castles and making us turn to them.

"Was she watching?" I asked Nova.

He shrugs before Maxwell said, "Yes. She insisted to see how are we going to handle them again..."

"You don't think...?

"Take a guess...the blood moon is out."

A pillar of light hits the center of all three of the castles

"Stop..." Brandon continued to pant, directing it at both the clan and Athena even though she wasn't around, but sees a pillar of light hit the castles, "Please...just...stop." He also senses that our morals were down, and we didn't have it in us to fight anymore, let alone given a proper chance to grieve, so this was not a good time for anyone to get worked up.

"I'll try to calm her down," Maxwell said, as he flew back, "No promises."

"Anger is always the start, before the acceptance of grief," I said.

The monsters also stood by.

Zali didn't say a word to allow us to grieve, as it was needed after such a frustrating battle anyway, although he himself didn't shed any tears. He then looked at Archion out the corner of his eye, expecting the vampire to make a degrading quip that, surprisingly, never happened. Instead, Archion just stood, looking at us in confusion. He stores his sword in it's sheath, showing that he was done fighting for now, and raised an arm out to tell Amalyth and Zagan to cease any and all hostility toward us. Zagan placed his hand on his niece's shoulder, and she complied by storing her weapon away as dark portals opened up. Taking Aurora and leading her into the portal, the two backed into them and closed them up, leaving their leader behind.

"Your reaction to the death of a mere human is...astonishing, to say the least,"

Brandon turns to Archion, but didn't speak.

"Dragons that surpass the lifespan of insignificant humans need not weep, for one day the humans you weep over will be outlived. What will do then? The sooner you accept and embrace that reality, the better off you'll be," continued Archion, "but because that knight went against my orders, I can't exactly call this a victory."

"You..." Brandon blinked, only to realize that Archion's words were NOT that of degrade, but words of truth. Therefore, he couldn't even be mad at that, even if he wanted to.

[The Melee Master]

As the aura fades from her sword, Melee kept her distance from the group as she watched the dragons rip apart the one that injured their human friend. Afterwards, she turns away and sat in silence, keeping her sword on her lap as she listens to them scramble to save Sparky. There wasn't anything she could do to help there. She had no healing abilities, nor knew anything medical wise, so when it came to that, she was downright useless. Though she was angry at the situation, she obviously didn't show it except for proof of tranquil fury in her eyes. Luckily, 'rage' wasn't a possibility in this form, but looking at the clan out the corner of her eyes, she was ready to slice them in half if they made a move toward everyone, although hearing Sparky take his last breath didn't help matters either...

Lucky for the clan, they left before she could do anything, except the leader, of course, but she didn't make a move.
