The Price of Revenge: A Bloodstained History {closed temp}

"As if we need more enemies to deal with," Zali sighed, "oh well."

"So what do we do?" questioned Ed to Zali.

That's when Zali senses something and looks toward the sky, "Keep your wits about you, for starters!"

"What?" Brian questioned.

The shadow of a long bodied dragon was seen within the clouds.

"An enemy?" Brandon asks, then realizes what, or who, it was, "No, that's-"

"It's OK," Haku calmly reassured.

The beast appeared to be Tikal as he flies from the clouds and slowly descends from them, landing on the stretch of land on all fours.

"Son of a b*tch," sighed Ed, shaking his head and turning to Tikal, "back for more, are you?!"

"Careful everyone!" Brian told us, "The clan might not be too far behind!"

"Uh, guys," I told them, "he's not...really on their side, remember?"

"I assume you had no run-ins with the clan since our previous encounter?" Tikal questioned.

"Why the hell does that matter to you?" asked Ed.

"Ed, please," Brandon stepped up, "what's this about, Tikal?"

"Did you or did you not meet the clan since our last encounter?!"

"Now is that any way to ask?" Brian glared.

"Wait a minute," Brandon blinked, "you mean you weren't with them until now?"

"Yeah, I definitely smell a trap somewhere," Luke stepped in, then to Tikal, "and I bet ya that red-maned freak is in on it!"

Brandon shook his head, "No. Tikal's words are genuine."

"Yet something doesn't feel right," Haku said.

"We had no one but my problem foes," Nova said, sensing something as well, "Something wrong?"

"We are on standby," Sophia said

[Shadow Dragon]

"Talk," commanded Tikal to Brandon, "your involvement with the clan. Why are they after you? Why the need to destroy you? They claim you to be a tyrant, yet your eyes tell a different story."

"They want revenge on my kingdom for an age past war," Brandon replied, "Archion is the son of a dragon who fell in battle by my father, so he's after me to rid of my bloodline and destroy what's left of my kingdom."

"Not much to destroy," Tikal told him, even though that was a rude thing to say, however Brandon didn't mind since he knew it was true.

"But we now believe his motives go beyond revenge, and that's what we're trying to figure out!" Zelos told him.

"Moreover," I told Tikal, "Archion is also the cause of the battle you and Haku had way back then! Vincent here threw in the 'legend' and the 'chosen hero' thing to keep it a secret."

The very man didn't say anything, but Tikal twitched his head in response, holding in his anger after hearing that.

"So does that make our efforts with that 'legendary battle' with you two null and void?" asked Zelos.

"Not exactly," said Haku with a gentle smile, "we weren't in the right state of mind no thanks to the demonic essence, remember? So had they not made the effort to stop us, who knows what could've happened."

"All right, I'll give you that."

"And...?" Tikal knew they had more to say.

"Maxwell wants to get back at him too for being called weak, I know that," I sighed.

"Shut it for now," the demon dragon said.

[Shadow Dragon]

"And then the demonic nightmare back then was caused by Archion trying and failing to break the seals that held the demons," said Brandon, "but he weakened them enough to cause their demonic essence to leak out and cause your battle with each other."

Tikal bares his teeth in fury, remembering what Vincet had said a while back about the aura, "So our battle and the demons...it was because of him the whole time?" Good! Now he was up to speed, "Goddammit, so THAT'S what I had been sensing from him!"

"And he remains a threat if he's not dealt with immediately," Brandon finished.

"Did he not tell you anything at all while you were with the clan?" I ask Tikal.

"They have not," Tikal confirmed, "I gave up trying to figure them out until now. That's why I have come to you. And now finding out they're responsible for all that occurred...!"

"Tikal, let me ask you something," Haku suddenly spoke with seriousness, making Tikal turn to him, "why do you think Archion didn't tell you anything? It's because the clan decided to use and dispose of you when they received the chance. I could tell from the look in his eyes, so matter what you did to prove yourself to the clan, the outcome would've been the same. Your 'legendary' title doesn't mean anything to them."

"So that's why you were so calm about him being with the clan!" I realized, directing at Haku.

"But only those who betray them," Vincet clarified.

"And Vincet, in spite of what he did, wants to redeem himself by helping us destroy the clan." Haku finished.

Vincet nods, "I...was once a part of their clan, but I left them after they betrayed me."

Tikal turns to the very thief with a smug look, "Is that so?"

"They are clever when they need to be," I admitted, "I'll give them that much, but their mouths run faster than their ideas."

"I agree fully there," I said.

"When it comes to that fool. I'm going to show him who runs the show!" Maxwell said.

Ganondorf just smirks and the dragon said, "Don't start..."

"I didn't say anything. I'm just wondering how you are going to do that."

"That's where you come in...Ganon..."

The clone growls and said, "Like I told Ayden before...don't use that nickname in that tone..."

"Deal with it, clone. I'm going to run this show wether you like it or not. Do you want the same fate to happen again?"

[Shadow Dragon]

"But this is great!" said Brian, "Now we have both legendaries on our side!" He was referring to Tikal and Haku.

"Yet they maintain their army," said Brandon with a glare.

"Remember that we have three of their previous members on our side, too," Zelos reminded everyone, "you think those two female dragons will want in on this action, when we get to it?"

"That would be up to them," Vincent told him, "but I'll agree either way."

Haku, however, felt a sense of dread, but didn't speak up in case he was just imagining it.

"I never agreed to assist you," Tikal told everyone.

"What?" Brian asked, "But I thought-"

"I merely came to you to be provided with the full story of this foolishness,"

"Well now you know," Ed told him, "and now you know how much of a pain in the ass this has been for us, so we don't need you to make it worse!"

Expecting Tikal to lash out at that, Zali braced himself, but instead, Tikal replied calmly, "Fair enough."

"Wait, really?" questioned Luke.

"Their hunger for vengeance blinds them from reality! With that knowledge, what makes them think a legend would assist the likes of such a bloodthirsty clan? What could they have offered such a beast like me in return? A legendary dragon does not care for the needs of such creatures nor requires the need of such assistance! A wise vampire would realize that, yet the clan does not."

"Right now, I'm in the way to the prince for him. I'm still confused however...can vampire dragons even sense another...vampire?" Nova wondered.

"Ah thats right...you have vampire blood as well mixed in," Maxwell smirked.

"Also, Tikal, I must tell you, one can only change into a dragon if 'the moon is at it's brightest' or a full moon. This might might be a problem if we attack with them too soon."

[Shadow Dragon]

"Perhaps they're too deep into their revenge sh*t to notice," Tikal smirked, "that's...two things they have yet to realize..."

"Pardon?" Tristan questioned.

"Nothing, just thinking to myself,"

Haku turns to Tikal, right before catching the scent of the enemy. The feeling of static electricity was then felt around us, and before we knew it, a blinding flash appeared. Tikal moves in to wrap his body around us and using dark magic, was able to repel what appeared to be a bolt of lightening.

"Sh*t!" hissed Luke, covering his eyes, "What the hell was that?!"

Brandon tries to open his eyes to see the shadow of a familiar man standing before us.

"Zagan!" he hissed as his vision cleared.

Indeed, the blonde haired dragon lowered his staff, which cracked with electricity. Behind him, Archion walked out, "Well, we meet again."

"What have I told you about being on my grounds?" Nova asked stepping up, "I see vengeance clouded your memory."

"More so made him less intelligent," Maxwell said

"Curse it..." I said quietly to myself, "This is bad."

[Shadow Dragon]

Archion smirked, "Fine. Then we'll take our meeting elsewhere."

A red and black dragon flies in from the clouds, snatching Haku in it's jaws and headed to a more open area of the land.

"Haku!!" I shouted as I watch the two disappear in the distance.

"He needs to be taught a lesson anyway," Archion hissed, then to Tikal, "and you as well for your...deceit!" A pair of wings sprouted from Archion's back as he took off and followed the dragon that took Haku down to ground level.

"Deceit, is it?" Tikal hisses, and takes off to follow.

"Sh*t!" hissed Kyle, "We need to get down there!"

"It could be a trap!" Ed told him.

"Well unless we do something, we might wind up with a dead river spirit on our hands!" Zali then commanded, starting to change to his true form, "Now move, all of you!"

Nova nods to Bowser and he nods back running into the castle before we gave chase. Ayden ran back inside with Andrew and Sophia as well.

[Shadow Dragon]

While the rest of us change back and leave the castle to give chase, the red and black dragon, revealing to be Aurora, kept a firm grip on Haku as she flew toward the ground with the intention of smashing him into it. At least until a blast of fire was shot her direction. Haku looks to see Tikal charging in.

"Away with you, mindless beast!" he hisses, shooting another blast of fire at the dragon.

Aurora then throws Haku at Tikal, having his horns strike the great dragon right in the face, causing him and Haku to spiral to the open ground, and both land with a shaking boom. Stunned, Haku opens his eyes to see Tikal slowly standing on all fours. Meanwhile, Aurora lands on the ground behind both of them, snarling.

Ganondorf changed into his Demon dragon form and flying above the two, if not casing a massive shadow, looking down at Aurora and said, "Best you leave. I have an ally that doesn't want you hurt."

He is speaking of me, as dragon's are one of my favorites before he spots me flying in to help.

[The Melee Master]

Wings sprouted from Melee's back as she dove down to try and help the two legendaries.

[Shadow Dragon]

Aurora continues to snarl at them, before hearing a whistle behind her. The draconess backed away, and Archion was seen walking out, as well as Zagan, and Amalyth.

"Well well, I was wondering when you would 'drop in'," Amalyth smirked.

All of us land in the open area and change back to our human forms.

"I don't know what you want," Brandon spoke to them, "but whatever it is, you'd better-"

That's when dragons flew overhead and heavy figures slam into the ground. They stand on their feet, swinging their sword down. The gang and I back away, Brian commenting, "I see you got new recruits..."

"Impressive armor, but nothing more," Nova said changing back himself, before making his blades appear. At the same time, he turned on something as he did. He was also looking around, very quickly to find weaknesses of any kind.

[Shadow Dragon]

One of the knights charge at Nova with a sword in hand, while the other charges at Melee Master, and the last one charges at my group, to which we decided to split up. The knight winds up swinging it's sword at Zali, who manages to duck just in time.

Nova spins the blades in his hands as he waited for the knight, looking back a split second to see something happening back at the castle as a storm started to form.

I make Aegislash appear in my hands to fight the knight that was attacking the group.

[The Melee Master]

Melee remains airborne as she sees a knight charge right at her. Though she could stay in the air and wait this out, she felt she could use a bit of a challenge right now. Folding her wings and having them sink into her back, she takes out her sword and charges back.

[Shadow Dragon]

The knight fighting Nova swings it's sword at him, and the knight fighting Melee Master clashes it's sword against hers, before backing away and taking another swing at her. The one I was up against clashes it's sword with my own, all knights attempting to tire their opponents out.

Seeing this, Nova doesn't fight back, but blocks the swing and said, "Best you watch your back...actually, all over." Thunder was heard and it started to rain, making him think, "Odd. It didn't call for rain of any kind today. Something is going on.

I charge in as well and swung at the knight that was after Shadow.

[Shadow Dragon]

Sparky took out Soul Edge and attempts to change it back to it's original form, unable to stand and watch us fight the knights alone.

"Don't you dare, Sparky!" I shout as I see this, then dodge a sword strike from the knight fighting me.

"Then at least take Soul Edge!!" he shouts, "You can't win with that twig of a sword you have!"

Sarcasm oozed from my voice, "Thanks for the encouragement!" I then gasp and block another sword strike, having the sword knocked out of my hand as a result and sent flying behind me. The knight backs off, twirls it's sword around, and charges with the blade out. I fall on my back and the sword seemingly stabs into my neck, while in reality, stabs into the ground with the sharp blade dangerously close to my neck.

The knight was struck in the back by Ganondorf2's attack, leaving a slash mark on the back of it's armor. It turns to her with glowing red eyes, and swings it's sword right back at her.

Soul Edge changes back into it's base form, ready for Shadow to grab it.

I jump back to dodge before glancing at Nova as he swung his blades. He flipped out of way to think ahead of a counter.

Lightning struck the ground next and the ground shook, but in patterns...like someone giant is taking a walk and this was making Nova and I wonder what is going on.

[Shadow Dragon]

Sparky sees this happen to Soul Edge and shouts at me, "Eric! Catch!"

I manage to roll out of the way as Sparky throws Soul Edge at me, and I manage to catch it by it's handle. Unfortunately, I had never dealt with a two handed weapon before, so this was going to be interesting, or so I thought before remembering the sword can take on forms of other weapons, in which case, I thought of a single handed sword, since it was one I was best at wielding.

The knights were about to make a move of unison toward us, before noticing the ground making some weird pattern. They turn to look at each other, confused on what's going on. I then took that time to catch my breath.

Edge changed to be a one hander at that point as well.

"What is going on?" I asked.

"I'm not sure, but at the same time, I think I know what it is or rather who. Get ready," Nova said.

He hear a roar next as lightning strikes the sky, showing massive shadow in the distance and two glowing eyes.

"One of your 'friends' that we should know about, Archion?" Ganondorf asked, unable to see the threat yet.

[Shadow Dragon]

"Sadly for you, no such thing," Archion looked around, "what the hell's going on?!"

Even Tikal was confused as he looked around, but remained on the ground but away from the battle for now.

[The Melee Master]

She raises her blade to try and deflect the attack again, before thrusting it at the knight's chest despite the armor, ignoring anything else that was happening for now, at least until she heard the creature and turns to it, then backs off and away from her opponent.

The sky turned as well before another flash was seen as well a monster towering over us all, hair burning red as well flames coming of it's lips.



"Bowser?!" Nova and I thought in shock, before he made a roar we never heard from him, the clone thinking, "No wonder I couldn't see him if not sense him. Something is covering his body and he just blends in with this storm. Is he with us or is this a clone I never seen before?"

The beast started to breathe in as a warning to everyone, it's going to fire

The sword from Melee makes a mark on the armor, but wasn't enough to pierce it. I then see Bowser out the corner of my eye and back off. The knights fighting their opponents, as well as the one fighting me, each stop their attacks and turn to the source of the sound.
