"They need to get their heads on straight," Maxwell said, then made a short chuckle, "And learn they had a weapon, but it was under their noses. Sad really."

"Yes, they certainly do," Zali shook his head but agreed with Maxwell.

"What do you mean by that?" I ask Maxwell as I turn to him.

"Now do you get any dreams over the years?" Maxwell asked ignoring Shadow for a moment.

"Oh yes! Being in a dragon form! Long and sleek, cutting through the sky and waters like a dolphin!"

"Long and sleek?" I asked, then thought, "Wait a minute...

[Shadow Dragon]

"Sounds like a water dragon," said Haku, "I wonder if it's possible for you to turn into one with enough concentration."

"And sky huh?" Ganondorf asked, "Did you see anything else?"

"I think? Flying near volcanos, tornados, and something else...something blue."

This got the clone's attention and he gave a stern glance at the demon dragon.

"Not what you think clone," Maxwell said.

"OK, now you've lost me," sighed Zali.

"Anyone care to explain?" agreed Zelos with Zali.

[ganondorf2]

"He thinks I created her, but I had no head in it...her curiosity did," he said.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"It was long before any of you were even born but I had to escape my father...and she was just a child...if she was human, she would have been three years old. I told her to stay back, but followed anyway."

"I don't remember that..." Athena said.

"As I said, you were very young. The portal I made to escape the old world had...problems."

"What kind of problems?" asked Brandon, trying to understand the explanation.

[ganondorf2]

"It was unstable," he said, "I wouldn't be surprised she's not just a water dragon, but all elements, just by going through the blasted thing."

He sighed and added, "For all I know, that's why she can't change into a dragon."

This made Nova think.

"I wish there was a way we could help with that," said Haku.

"I got nothing," Zelos shook his head.

"Sorry, but me neither," Zali said.

Vincet, Brandon, and I, didn't say anything ourselves.

"I might..." Nova said, "Well, not just me."

"What do you have in mind?" Andrew asked.

"It might be best to do some tests on her," he said, "I don't want to jump the gun as they say. Something might trigger a change but it's just the right one."

[Shadow Dragon]

"If you go through with this-" said Haku.

"-I hope you know what you're doing," said Zali, "but I'll go with anything as long as it gives us the answers we need."

"I'm not worried," Ganondorf said and walked ahead, "Everyone had to deal with my problems over the years. This might not be any different."

"What does he mean by that?" Athena asked me.

"Big guy...I mean, Ganondorf had a lot of problems. He's not human, at all," I said.

"I thought something felt off about him. Is he sick?"

This made Nova stop and asked, "You can sense that?"

Athena placed her hand behind her head and said, "Honestly, yes. I'm confused, however. How are you dealing with the pain?"

This made the clone turn to her completely and said, "I'll be. This is going to be easier than I thought."

"I would say so," said Brandon with a smile.

The rest of us stood back and watched, however.

He walked over and asked, "Have you had any problems in the past?"

"What do you mean?" Athena asked.

"A sudden sickness for example."

"Uh...well I did have a bad day with my legs. They fell asleep suddenly."

This rose a flag for Nova in this, but at the same time, it was different.

"Wonder why that is," I spoke after hearing this.

[ganondorf2]

"Did you get faster as a result?" he asked.

"Oh yeah! No one can catch up!" she said then worried when a growl come out of the clone as he placed his hand on his forehead, "Is it bad?"

"No...I just never thought this would happen to someone else."

I look away myself as well Andrew.

None of us knew what to say about that, however.

"What are you saying?" she asked, has he lowered his hand once more.

"This might be a little bit of a shock, but that happened to me years ago," he said.

"What?! And..."

"Yes, I got faster, though it was more painful."

"So what happened to you..."

"What else do you remember?"

"My eyes stung a little as well my arms ached for a bit."

"Andrew. I need you to do a few tests to see if there's any major changes to her in the last few years."

"I can do that," the scientist said.

"So you two went through the same thing, in other words?" asked Zali, confused but curious at the same time.

[ganondorf2]

"That's what I'm thinking, but the thing is, I like to know how. I was created in a lab and she is not."

"A lab? So you're not a dragon either?"

"Only part. I have many things running through my veins. Some I had from the beginning, others from outside sources," Ganondorf said, "All of them made me stronger over time. It's to the point, I have to watch myself when I fight...even if it's practice."

"Oh my."

"So in other words, Maxwell is right to say we have a weapon on our side. I had a little help to change back when I went to a dragon without my control, but something tells me we will have to try a different trick."

[Shadow Dragon]

"With the clan, yes," confirmed Vincet, "they're capable of putting two and two together quite quickly, so don't take them lightly."

"That might not be what she means," Brandon told him, "but you have a point, too."

"Sounds like we have a real powerhouse on our side, then," said Zali to Ganondorf, "I don't think we'll have anything to worry about with you around."

"Like I said," Vincet reminded.

"Agreed," I said.

"I meant with her, however the thing is," Nova said before making a smirk, "Can they keep up?" He turned to Andrew and asked, "Do you still have my old files?"

"Of course, I still remember them too. Over the last few days, your strength went up fifty percent as well as your mind and you didn't have to do anything much," he said, "Gave the others a heart attack a couple of times on a few changes you had."

"Painful?" Athena asked.

"Very," Ganondorf said to that, "I don't want to go through that again."

"What do you have?"

"Don't even think about copying what's in me. I was born with what I have...anyone else would would either, mutate, go mad, or die in a matter of seconds."

"Honestly, I would be surprised if they couldn't," sighed Vincet, "but as I said, the clan is no joke. If I know Archion, he'll want to gather the most powerful beings to accomplish what he wants, if he hasn't already."

"With Tikal being the recent addition?" I ask.

"Yes, and I'm sure they're looking for new recruits as we speak."

"We have powerful people, and another legendary dragon-" Zali motions to Haku, "-on our side, too. I'm not concerned one bit."

"Well said," Haku smiled.

"Don't let your arrogance be your downfall," warned Vincet.

"Being over cautious does the same thing, Vincet," Ganondorf said, "Besides...We have an 'army' of sorts too. Some look cute until you find out how they aren't in a fight. I can summon more
and what they did just recently, just added more."

He walks off once more, "Now then, let's head inside the lab for a few tests. I want to see how you are in health."

"Of course," Athena said, following closely.

I sigh and said to Vincet, "Thing is with Ganondorf, if Archion gets stronger...he does too. The clone adapts to whatever is thrown at him. He is made for that. Not saying I don't believe you, but the fact there was outside help on his creation to stop powerful forces not from Earth might give us a bit of an edge."

"As I said about the 'powerful people' part," said Zali, "if Ganondorf's a powerhouse, as you say, then again, I'm not worried. Besides, this Archion guy seems more arrogant than powerful anyway. I can't stand arrogant people...or dragons."

"Archion is definitely not arrogant," said Vincet, "vengeful, maybe, but he puts his clan well before himself, and the thought of anyone betraying him...well, let's just say you won't live to regret it. And you'd better hope he doesn't find that out about Ganondorf."

"Puts his clan before himself, huh?" Zelos questioned, "Think we can take advantage of that?"

"I don't see why not, except..."

"What now?" questioned Zali.

"Zagan is another concern. He's Archion's right-hand man, and his powers are even more deadly. I wouldn't want to cross him again."

"As I've noticed," Nova said, overhearing "That will be his downfall in itself. Well, if he just targets me or G2. More so with that spell."

Andrew, Zelda and I follow him out.

[Shadow Dragon]

"And when the time comes to battle them, leave Tikal to me," said Haku, "I'll lead him away so that you can focus on Archion and the others."

"Very well," sighs Zali, "I want to see just how strong this Zagan guy is anyway."

"Unless you have knowledge of the dark arts, I highly suggest you distance yourself from him for now," warned Vincet, then sighed, "but of course, you're going to do what you want anyway, right?"

"What do you expect us to do? Wait around and get ourselves killed by the clan you betrayed? Sorry, but as the leader of a squad of my own, your rules don't apply to me."

"I figured, but I'm saying don't rush into something you barely know about."

"I agree," said Brandon with a nod.

"I'm a clone of a warlock," Nova said, "He knows dark arts...and then some I hate to tell you. Some, I never thought were possible."

He drops it for now as he opened a door to a room.

"Like what, dare I ask?" asked Vincet.

"Later," Haku told him as he watches Nova open a door, and the rest of us turn to it.
