Luke quickly turned to Nova after hearing the shattering glass in his direction.
"Sh*t!" he cried out, rushing over to the clone, "Are you all right?!"
Tikal continues to glare at the shooter's location.

The clone slowly gets up and said, "Could be better." He takes his headdress off and spots the bullet, stuck in it's base, saying, "Even though that was an accident, I'll give the stranger one thing. Not bad on aim."

"Too close of a call!" said Luke as he looked at the headdress, then looked in the direction Tikal was looking.

"Forget about me. What about Steven?" he asked.
Another shot was heard, but at Tikal this time, but Neutron caught the bullet from reaching his head and said, "It didn't fold."

Hearing shots being fired, Palutena created a barrier of light in an attempt to shield her side of the team from the bullets, but wasn't sure if it would hold. Pit takes out his bow and draws an arrow, while the others were on guard.

Neutron makes a heavy sigh and said, as more phantoms rush in, "I'm sorry I have to do this to you Nova, but those phantoms are annoying me."
"To me? What are you going to do?" he asked, as he pulled out a switch.
"Remember those months ago when the old you bit your shoulder? I've been keeping an eye on you since then and found out the virus is still there but dorment. I can make it come out and change you, and thankfully the goddess made the right move. That is if you want me to do this."
Seeing that they are trying to get to Karson and to Scarlett he said, "Do it."
He presses the button and the next thing, Nova had his arms around his chest in pain.

The clone notices the opponents going after Karson and Scarlett, prompting him to rush over to the two, swinging his sword at the enemies, "I don't think so!"
Armstrong rushes beside him and attempts to grab an opponent by the face, "Going somewhere?"
Tikal and Luke focus on the other phantoms for now.

Another phantom clash with him, looking like the swordsman and more phantoms swarm Armstrong from all sides to try and grab him. Nova yells in extreme pain, before he was torn apart, blood flying and changing into a mutated T-Rex of sorts, getting the swarm's attention.  |

They back up as Nova walked over, before roaring at them, making them run as he chased after the phantoms.
"Well, he didn't change into the monster dog? No wonder the virus didn't wake," Neutron said in surprised.
"What?! You did this?!" I asked.
"Don't get mad at me. He said for me to proceed."

Armstrong swings his arms around to try and get the opponents to back off, before seeing what was happening to Nova, and got out of his way, and so did the rest of the team.

The group didn't know how to respond to that as they kept up their guard, looking around in case there were anymore foes.

The shooter tries his hand at Nova to see that he was spotted by the clone and he opens his mouth before firing a dark beam at it from the eye that was his tongue now, wiping it out, then tail whips the swarms away from everyone.
I start to worry about him now. Is he still there?

Most ran off, but a lone shadow was standing by as they did and made slow claps. This put my team on guard as steps were heard next as well as a voice sayed, "Not bad. Not bad at all."
Nova changed mostly back to normal, his upper armor was destroyed and his body had even larger scars than before. Looking like he was put together like a puzzle and this made me worry, until said 'scars' vanished thanks to his healing.

"BUT WHO WAS-" Papyrus heard the voice and looked around.
"Someone not on our side, I'm sure," said Palutena, readying her weapon, as did Pit.
Alvis gripped his claymore and turned to the source of the voice.

I spot a tall man walking over, though he looks like Mario, I can't see his eyes what with the shadows and the hat almost covering them. He crosses his arms and makes a big unnatural grin saying, "Cowards? More like distractions. How do you like the swarm there? There's more to come of course."
"Who are you?" I asked.
"That's none of your concern."

"Another creature created by one of the hearts?" asked Luke, gripping the hilt of his blade.
The other three men didn't make a move, but eyed the opponent.

"How'd you guess? Though I'm stronger than the last guy that looks like...what is his name? Oh, Jamba Mario," he said cracking his knuckles, "I was getting bored waiting for you so I said 'screw it' and sent my team to track as well attack you."
Nova senses something off from this phantom but something else was on his mind as well.

He brought out a hammer and said, "You are sharp on that. Want to try your luck?"
Mono looks around as Nova started to feel low energy coming from him. He didn't say anything, however as this was a bad time.

"Beating you won't require any luck!" Luke swung his sword.
"Might not want to jump into this so soon," said Tikal, taking his trident out and faces the opponent, "but whatever. I'm getting bored anyway."
The clone takes his blade out as well, "You're not leaving me out of this either!"
Armstrong said nothing to this, but prepared himself as well.

He quickly showed it wasn't slow in the least a charged at Tikal at great speeds, a red glow to his eyes.
Nova then shouts, charging himself, "That hammer is heavier than it looks!"
"I can tell," Karl said running the clone, "I can't take it away from him either."
"It's not magnetic?"
"Not at all!"

Tikal hears Nova as he eyes the opponent charging after him. He quickly puts up his trident weapon, infusing it with darkness, to try and counter the hammer with the same strength.

He swung downward and showed it's not just the hammer to worry about, but the fake's overall strength, as even when blocked, the ground breaks under the power, making my team almost stagger.

Apparently, it was enough for Tikal's feet to sink into the ground, creating a dent with cracks around them, but was lucky enough to not break his legs. In response to this, the mage attempts to shove the opponent away with a blast of darkness.

He jumped back as the attack got him in face. To make up for it, he swung at him while in the air, making a blade of energy head for the mage.

Tikal attempts to block it with his weapon, only for the energy blade to cause his own weapon to be knocked out of his hands and away from the mage, stabbing into the ground behind him. This, unfortunately, left him open for another possible attack.

The fake charges at him and was about to hit Tikal when Nova catches the weapon in his hands. The clone glanced at the rest of the mage's team, as he held the foe back.

Black fire burned from the mage's hands before throwing fireballs at the fake in response to what it did.
