I haven't gotten a PM, and I have to agree with Chaostro! I'm sick of religious talk myself, and how people try to shove it down our throats. I even get pissy when my personal friends do it to me. I'm not religious, and even if I was, I wouldn't go around showing it off like most people do, and try to 'convert' people into a specific religion, shoving it down peoples throats as claimed. I'd report this thread if the admins were active.

You know, if you're so sick of religious discussions, don't partake in them. No is forcing your to share or read opinions. What you shouldn't do is the very thing that some of you are. Being hateful and degrading, I'm a human being and I was born this way.

I just steer clear of religious talk as much as possible, but I'm siding with Chasotro and Shadow Dragon on this, because, regardless of my answer to whether or not I believe, an argument never fails to stir up like it seems to be doing right now. >>; Well steering clear of this seems to be a little too late for me.

I'm not saying you're wrong for believing in what you want to believe, what I'm saying is maybe not ask people random questions, especially ones involving religion. Just because you're OK talking about god doesn't mean everyone is. I am sorry for flipping out on you, but at the same time, I have been literally harassed by Christians from all sides of the globe asking me if I believed in god, then I tell them no, only to have them freak out on me as if I had just told them "I worship Satan." If you want to ask questions on this site, make them video game related or something. It doesn't have to be Nintendo based. Again, sorry the response you got was a heavily negative one, but at the same time it answered your question: We don't necessarily want to talk about god, maybe not all of us believe in him, but we certainly don't want to talk about it because of the thousands of people that have harassed us on whether or not we believe. I'm not expecting everybody to talk about it, no one is being forced to reply to this thread. However, it's a subject of my interest and it's intended so that those want to share their religious beliefs, can. If you're insecure about it, don't reply, don't read. It's that simple. What's important is keep your priorities straight and be friendly as opposed to degrading, condescending, and hating. Love yourself! |
