"A demon I once knew was the very same way," Kouga said, "Naraku. He too had the ability to revive demons using sacred jewel shards and causing us hell. Luckily, he's been dead for hundreds of years now. Ghirahim and Zemus don't know the spider demon like I did, so there's no chance that he'll ever be brought back."
"What about the other demons you mentioned?" Marth asked.
"Doubt I'll ever be seeing them again either."
"Let's hope it remains that way."

"Sounds bad," I said, as Ganondorf puts the blade away.
"I wouldn't mind taking on this Ghirahim..." Soul Edge's voice was heard.
"Kind of makes sense..." I said.
"Interesting too," Link said.

The sound of Soul Edge's voice caused Marth to look around, asking, "Where did that voice come from?"
"That, I'm guessing," Kouga pointed to Soul Edge, "strange how you have weapons like that in your world. I thought me and those mutts were the only ones."
"Mutts?" Eliwood asked.
"Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru. Demon canines who are also half-brothers." then he said to Soul Edge, "And what makes you want to take him on, anyway?"

G2 pulls out a large sword, and it opens it eyes. "Take a guess," he said.

"A clone of one," he said, "My friend wouldn't be here, if I was like the real one. Not to mention, I can change into a warrior like demon."

"Really now?" Kouga asked, crossing his arms, "Now you caught my curiosity. Would you mind showing me this other form of yours?"
"Don't force him into doing anything he may not want, Kouga." Marth said.
An annoyed tone left the wolf demon, "I'm not forcing. I just said I was curious."

Kouga jumped back as he saw the blade glow. After rubbing his eyes, he notices a tall figure standing before him. A smirk appeared on his face.
"That's a nice looking form you got there." he couldn't help but compliment.

He places his sword on his shoulder and said, "Thank you."
"Thus the reason, why," I said.

"Well don't get your hopes up just yet," Ephraim said, "other than what I've read...what he's after, and why...he-"
"He wants revenge on Ganondorf, Link, and Zelda, or whoever they are..." Kouga said.
"I don't doubt it, but it still sounds too obvious of an answer."
"Then what else do you think he wants?"
"Take over the world, perhaps, like every enemy these days?" Eliwood asked with a smirk.
"That's not impossible, as he can really do that with a mass army of moblins, but haven't you noticed that there are no moblins in sight?"
"So?" Kouga asked, "Isn't that a good thing?"
"You would think so, but I think he's aiming to have more powerful creatures in his control this time around."
"How can he do that if he couldn't even control Mold...whatever it's name was, without turning it into a mindless husk?" Marth asked.
"He'll find ways." Ephraim said, and sighed, "His kind always do."

"No surprise," I said, making Link chuckle.

"I'm not surprised either," Marth said.
"The spirit seemed to have taken a great interest in you anyway, Ganondorf...and Link, but what about Zelda? How do we know Ghirahim won't go off to look for her?"
"You seem to worry too much about that freak," Kouga said with annoyance.
Ephraim chucked and said, "Blame my interest for history. I look into them too much."
"Obviously, now can we change the subject?"
"All right, you two," Eliwood said to calm them.
Marth sighed.

"As much as I don't want the princess involved, clone or not..." Marth started, but never finished his sentence.
"Then we can either stop him from getting close to her, warn her, or sit back and hope he doesn't go after her at all," Kouga said, "and one of them is bound to fail, so hurry and make your pick."
"Like I said, I don't want her involved in this."
"We shouldn't have to be involved either, but look where we stand now." the tone of his voice was surprisingly calm.
"That doesn't mean we should drag her into it. What happens if we warn her?"
"What happens if we don't?" Eliwood asked in a very serious tone.
"It's just not fair to get her involved, guys. Let's leave her alone."
Ephraim just stood silently, not sure what side to go with on this.

"I wouldn't worry about her anyway," Link said.

Kouga sighed, "I'm itching to fight that guy if I ever see him again."
"Kouga..." Marth started.
"Don't say it. I'm not as naive as I use to be, Marth." he looks at his arm that had been cut before, though it was healed by powers, "That's why I aim to get stronger before that happens, I hope."
Eliwood turned away, running his fingers through his hair and then letting his arm hang. Curiosity struck when he noticed Ganondorf pressing something in his gauntlet.

"Where I come from, technology advances as we move on in years, but...back in Hyrule, it went the opposite way." Ephraim said, "How funny."
"You need to lay off the history for a while." Marth said, chuckling.
"History my foot," Kouga said, "I don't always believe what's said in 'books' anyway. Besides, it's now we need to worry about."
"All right, point taken, guys! Sheesh."

"Thank you, Ganondorf," the emerald haired prince said.
That's when Marth gave the other prince a more serious look and said, "Hold on, Ephraim, I was only kidding. I'm surprised you didn't catch that."
"Well I'm not joking around!" Kouga said, clinching his fists.
"Kouga," Eliwood said.
"I'll teach that guy a thing or two if I see him..."
"Kouga, please ease up a little. We can't just go off and fight him head on, you should know that. As mentioned, we need a little more information about this whole situation first. Give it some time."
As Kouga eased up the tension, he said, "Fine. Do what you have to."

"Your telling this to a wolf who's pack have been dead for centuries, all thanks to other demons," Kouga said, slightly offended by Link's words, and sat down, turning his head away, "I've been on my own all this time because of it."
"I'm sorry," was all Eliwood had to say.
"You can hang with us until the situation's dealt with," Marth said, "or until your satisfied. Whatever comes first."
Kouga just flicked his tail in response. Whether it was a sign of happiness or annoyance was uncertain, but Marth took it as a sign of welcoming anyway.
"I know how it feels to have a companion taken away from you, Kouga," Ephraim said, "my parents are gone, a single stray arrow took the life of my twin sister, and a few of my close friends were also killed in wars. I'm all that's left. I know exactly what you went through".
"No you don't. No matter what anyone says, they don't know jack sh!t what I went through. Ganondorf's right: a wolf is nothing without his pack, and since I'm the sole survivor, what does that make me besides a lone wolf?"

"Ready?" Link asked, Ganon.
He nods, as they both went on their hands and knees and changed into wolves, Ganondorf being more black and red.

The sight of the two wolves nearly caught Kouga off guard. Standing up, he asks, "Whoa hey, what's this??"
"Why are you surprised?" Marth asked, smiling, "Aren't you happy there's more wolves here? Now you have a pack."
"Was that suppose to be a joke?" the wolf demon snapped at Marth, and turned back to Ganondorf and Link.
"At least thank them for trying to make you feel better," Eliwood said, annoyed with Kouga's attitude now
A sigh escaped Kouga as he slumped back down on the dirt, "Well excuse me for being surprised at spontaneous transformation. Should've expected it, I guess. Sorry."
Ephraim chuckled lightly. A gentle breeze blew, and the sound of swaying trees were heard. The sky slowly went from a bright blue, to a beautiful mixture of red and orange as the day began to take it's usual break, preparing for night time to take over. Kouga looked up at the sky and happened to take notice.

"My shack doesn't have beds, so if you guys don't mind sleeping on the floor," Ephraim paused, then spoke, "as I said, I got plenty of room for all of us, if you want to stay there."
"Thanks, but I'll sleep outside tonight," Kouga said, "I'm not scared of the outdoors."
"No, you don't have to." the prince objected.
"I want to."
"...Why?" Marth asked.
"Just...I just do, all right?"

"True there too."
