As a result he managed to pry open the collar enough so that he could bite down on the clone's neck.
He pushed the clone away seconds after when his fangs got in contact with his toxic blood, and soon began coughing out of sickness

"Heh, I should have warned you," he said, with hand on his neck, "I'm not edible."
He gets the piece of the collar back and puts it back on, it repairing in the process.
