Nova ran in to try to take the blow.

"No!" Athena screamed to try and stop him.

"He'll be fine," Maxwell said

[The Melee Master]

Of course, Simon didn't know who EVERYONE was, and right now, his focus was on the current situation anyway. Anyone else who was a vampire, demon, or otherwise, that wasn't a threat right now were safe. Simon rushes in and tries to stop Archion with his chain whip. Saint Germain didn't move, predicting the move from Simon. Instead, the time keeper summons thorny vines in an attempt to wrap them around Archion's body to stop him from attacking anymore.

Archion moves out of the vine's way and winds up striking Ganondorf. Vincet, unable to stand and watch this anymore, charges in with his knife and tries to stab Archion's neck, only for his wrist to be grabbed and thrown aside. The vampire then turns to Tikal, his eyes sharpening with anger.

"You will pay for making a fool out of us, mage!!!" hissed the vampiric dragon, before charging at the mage, fangs extended.

Tikal was about to fight back using black fire to burn him to ash, before a white blur obscured his vision. As his vision cleared, he sees that Haku had gotten in the way to protect Tikal, by rushing in and taking the blow.

Archion was seen having his fangs sunk into Haku's throat. Streams of blood slid down the boy-cloaked-dragon's neck.

"Haku!!!" I shout.

Nova takes it, before charging at Archion at that point in rage.

Athena screamed at this.

Tinkaton charges as well.

[Shadow Dragon]

Amalyth prepares to fend off Nova and Tinkaton. Archion releases Haku, who falls on his knees, his hand clamped onto the wound.

"Aurora, Zagan, Amalyth, we're going," Archion calmly said, "there's nothing more to do here."

"You're not going anywhere...!!"

The opponents turn to see Tikal's arms coated in black fire.

"Your usefulness is at it's end," said Archion to Tikal.

Tikal throws the black flames at the opponent group, only for it to be shielded by a barrier created by Zagan's staff. The fire coats the entire barrier before Tikal ends the attack, to see that the group had vanished.

Brandon hears Archion's words in his head, however, which were also sent to Athena's and Vincet's minds.

"We swear by all that exists, we will strip you all of everything you hold dear if it's the last thing we ever do..."

That sent a chill down Brandon's spine, sensing no lie in Archion's words, but now wasn't the time to worry about that.

"I can guess what was said," Nova said changing back to normal.

Athena was scared now but shakes it off before I came out to comfort her.

Maxwell was ignored so he starts to think of a plan.

"That means I could be targeted..." I admit.

As far as Vincet was concerned, he had nothing else to lose as Archion took everything he treasured before becoming his lacky. He looks at Athena with concern, however, seeing the fear on her.

The only things Brandon treasured was his friends and his entire kingdom, and if the clan were to target them next...

Brandon's thoughts were broken as he hears a withering pain from Haku. A burning sensation was felt in Haku's neck wound, making him lose focus and unable to maintain his human form. Now in his true dragon form, his body began to flail in pain.

"Sh*t!" shouted Ed, rushing over to the river dragon and falling onto his squirming body, trying to hold him still.

"Get off!" shouted Vincet, "You're only going to make it worse!!"

Haku's eyes unfocused and his body went into convulsions.

"He isn't going to become one of them, is he?!" asked Brian with fear in his voice.

Vincet recognized this as he then sees foam around Haku's mouth. He walks over and bends down at him, "Archion didn't take his blood; he poisoned the river dragon!"

"Wait, are you sure?" asked Tristan.

"Being half-dragon, Archion doesn't have that turning ability," Vincet reassured, "remember?"

"Poison?! We need to get him help now!" I shout.

"I hope I'm fast enough to cure it," Nova said, vanishing, "Be right back."

[The Melee Master]

Though the violence was at it's end, it was still too soon to relax. Simon growls at this, "And of all the items I didn't bring, a potion would've been most helpful!"

"Wait," Melee turns to Saint Germain, "can you not reverse the damage done to Haku?"

"What makes you think he can do anything?" Simon asked.

"Because Aeon did it once before on another friend a long time ago."

((Your call if Germain can, of course, Shadow.))

[Shadow Dragon]

"Aeon revived that friend from death, Melee," I told her.

"But if Haku dies..." Vincet warned.

"I don't think even time reverse can exterminate this kind of venom anyway," said Brandon. {in other words, no, Melee}

"Well we have to do something!!" I shout, unable to bare losing another friend to those monsters.

Haku's tongue hung from his mouth as his breathing grows heavy. His eyes then lose their focus before his heavy breathing ceases, and his body grows erringly still.

Ganondorf comes back to see this and said, "No...Not another one. He wasn't kidding..." That when he covers his ears hearing the death screams in his head.

Athena starts to cry to this as do I.

[Shadow Dragon]

I notice that Haku had stopped breathing and was not moving again, "Haku?!!"

"Oh hell no!" Tristan lifts Haku's head, "Don't you DARE do this to us! We're not losing another like this!"

But Haku was as still and limp as the ground he laid upon. Tristan drops Haku's head which lands limply with a plop.

"No... He's dead," panted Tristan.

"What?!" Samantha asked, her heart breaking.

"Dammit," Luke slammed his fist onto the ground, "not again!"

[The Melee Master]

A cold shiver shot through Melee's body at the news, but she didn't make a move. Simon sighs, slowly sitting on the ground, "Even being sent by a time keeper, I'm too late."

Saint Germain kept silent, but showed no remorse, having being use to seeing death, unfortunately.

"I hoped he wasnt this blind, but now I want to dead too! In the worst way possible!," Athena shout, no longer in fear but in rage as well, "I wish to be trained to the extremes!"

"Best you wait for big guy to calm down first...Though I have an idea..." I said, trying to move on.

[Shadow Dragon]

Zelos walks over to them, bending down to Haku's level as he places his hand on the river dragon's neck wound. I kept my eyes forward, not able to look at Haku, and fighting back my emotions at the same time.

"That tears it!" shouted Brian, tears stinging his eyes as he hisses, "I'm going after them to give them what's coming! Who's with me?!!"

"I am!" said Luke, "They're not going to get away with this!!"

"I don't think that's a good idea right now..." Zelos gently told them, now stroking the fur on Haku's lifeless cheek.

"What?!" Brian sharply turns to Zelos, "Why not?!! Remember what they did to Shawn?!! Now they did the same to Haku!"

"Technically, Archion didn't kill Shawn," said Kyle.

"Shut up!"

"Stop it! Anger is our enemy again and Brian you almost got killed because you ran in with anger!! We would have had two dead not one! Don't you see that?!" I shout, "Is Nova the only one that knows to calm down?!"

That's when a pillar of light was seen in the distance where Nova ran too getting my team's attention.

[Shadow Dragon]

"Guys, far be it for me to not want revenge for Haku, I mean I've known him a while now," said Zelos, "but I agree, I think you're being too hasty,"

"How could you say that?!" asked Brian.

"There's a difference between wanting vengeance for Shawn's death, and wanting vengeance for Haku," Ed lifts his hand off Haku's wound.

"Because Haku is just a dragon and Shawn was our friend?!"

"BECAUSE HAKU'S NOT DEAD YET, YOU F*CKING IDIOTS!!!" Ed's voice was so loud that flocks of birds exploded in flight from distant trees before the deafening silence of shock from my group took over.

"Doesn't help big guy..." I said, looking at him with fire in my eyes, "WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY SO IN THE FIRST PLACE?!!!"

This made other animals run from us from me alone.

Maxwell stepped in to stop me from trying to tare Ed apart then again even Athena took out her swords to Ed.

"Some of us don't have your abilities," Kain said, hand over his eyes.

[The Melee Master]

((I legitimately laughed a little too hard at that! ))

"And not a second too soon," Saint Germain said.

"You knew this would happen," said Simon to Germain.

"That I did, but that doesn't mean Haku isn't out of danger. The venom might still be ravishing his body, so death is still possible, but don't quote me on that."

"Why the hell didn't you say anything?!" Melee Master asked, her voice stern but not angry, "You could've warned us to prevent it in the first place."

"Actually, no I could not. I will not speak the truth of one's fate nor act upon it," said the time keeper, "some things aren't meant to be known ahead of time."

She blinked, "You and Aeon must have different sets of rules for yourselves," she didn't like the fact that Germain kept it from everyone, but she respected his rules at the same time.

Brian and Samantha froze, jaws dropped, "WHAT?!"

"Ed, are you sure?" Zali calmly asked, his ears ringing, even though he knew Ed's outburst was justified due to everyone's overreactions.

"God...honestly," Ed hissed, ignoring everyone who wants to kill him now, "learn to check a body before calling it, will ya?! He's still breathing, it's just...faint."

"Uhh, I'm sorry everyone," Zelos said, feeling the hot breath of Haku come and go on the back of his hand, "but Ed is clearly not joking here."

"I believe him," said Luke, "I mean when is Ed the type to ever joke about anything?"

I bury my hands in my face in frustration and embarrassment, muffling, "Oh my God...!!!"

"...Again...tell us...that's not near him like you did...to not over react...when we see him fall...dead like....This is not like me to swear but...IF YOU SEE SOMEONE FALL IN THE DISTANCE, LOOKING DEAD, WHAT THE F*** DID YOU THINK WAS GOING TO HAPPEN?! NOW I DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO NOVA THANKS TO YOUR SLOW ANNOUCEMENT TO TELL US THIS! UNBELIEVEABLE!"

Maxwell sighs and said, "Nice job and good luck trying to calm her down. That girl can't hold a grudge too well...might as well say how to rid of the toxin now."

"What was that light?" Athena wondered.

"I like the fight in her sometimes but..." Broly thought.

"I'll check on...Nova," Kain said walked off.

What would be a happy event to find out that a friend was still alive, turned into a moment of fury for some. Unfortunately for Ed, their anger was justified this time. Samantha chimed in, "Aren't there certain types of mushrooms that can absorb venom from the body?"

That's when I was reminded of the time I had been accidently poisoned and was force to scarf down a mushroom to absorb the venom, which made me cringe from the god-awful taste.

"Yes there is," Brandon confirmed, the ringing in his ear from the screaming vanishing, "they grow in certain areas around my kingdom, but I don't think we have time to hunt for them."

"The hell we don't!" hissed Luke, "Point me to the direction, and I'll fly there and gather a giant mouthful myself and bring it back!"

"They taste horrible though," I told him, even though that saving Haku was more important than how a life saving mushroom tastes.

"Good," said Zali, "then Ed can go and gather a mouthful all on his own!"

"What?!" Ed snapped.

"You heard me," said the leader, "consider it your punishment for giving us all heart attacks for your outburst. Now go!"

"Zali, you can't send him out on his own!" Samantha told him, "The clan might still be out there! We can't single ourselves out! It's too risky now!"

"Fine, then take someone with you, Ed," commanded Zali, "either way, YOU are getting those shrooms!"

"You can't be serious!" Ed bit back.

"Do I LOOK like I'm joking?!"

The two dragons just glared at each other. Brandon, unfortunately, sensed that Zali was indeed not joking, making him sigh, "Oh dear..."

Athena and I were also giving him a death glare and Broly said, "I'll go with Ed. Better me then those two right now."

"That was amusing to say the least," Maxwell said, laughing to this.

"Don't tell me you knew too..." I start.

"I did not, but when that was said he's still alive, I wanted to hear or see you tare each other to pieces."

[The Melee Master]

Melee Master stared blankly at Ganondorf2, astonished by her reaction, let alone hearing her curse for the first time, though she couldn't blame her. If she was in her hybrid form right now, she'd be doing the same thing, or WORSE, then Ed would REALLY be in danger.

Simon decided it would be smart to just stay out of this, so he kept quiet.

"To toy with people's emotions in such a way is never a good idea," Saint Germain said, agreeing with those who were mad, "but time mends all wounds. I would suggest you give yourselves a moment of clarity before this sort of thing happens again. You may not be so lucky next time."

Melee Master kept silent.

"Simon," said Saint Germain, "based on what you've seen now, are you sure you want to stay?"

"This is nothing," said Simon with a smirk, "I've handled monsters with worse fights than this. I'll stay and help anyway I can, if they'll allow it."

"I have no objections," Melee Master said, "we'll need all the help we can get."

Finally calming down I said, "You won't hear complaints from me..."

"What the? Usually it takes weeks for you to calm down," Maxwell said.

"Oh I'm still mad, but right now, I wonder about Nova too. That pillar of light came out nowhere. I hope he didn't get attacked from trying to get the screams out of his head being near Haku's pain."

"What?" Athena asked in confusion.

Ed lets out a huff and turns away, but not before turning to Haku, who was still limp on the ground. The hotheaded dragon checks his breathing again and felt hot breaths on his hand. Haku's eyes roll back and his eyelids finally close, but Ed could tell he was still barely alive.

"All right, fine," Ed spat, getting up and turning away, "I'm going!"

"Ed, wait-" Samantha tries to talk him out of it.

"I'm going!!" he replied, "You want me to get those d*mn mushrooms, I'll get them! Just get off my back!"

"Somewhere near my land, a friend of mine lives in a cabin around that area that knows a thing or two about venom and antidotes," Brandon replied, "go to him for info on what mushrooms to gather."

"Friend..." I then realized, "You mean Jackie, right?"

"Forget it," Ed looked back, then turned back around, changing into his dragon form.

"Ed, I'm serious!" Brandon told him, "Unless you can decipher between the life saving mushrooms and the poisonous ones, please, find Jackie and have him help you!"

But Brandon got no response as Ed took off, flying off into the sky, and disappearing into the clouds.

Tikal slaps his forehead, "Godf*ckingdammit!"

"What's wrong?" Zelos asks.

"Good grief, now he's going to die for sure..." Maxwell said with a blank stare, "Nova knows as well, but have something."

Broly follows close behind in flight at that point.

"This does not help with my...problem...wait. You said some can absorb toxins right? Think it would help the crystal in my back? It's poison," I realize.

[Shadow Dragon]

Brandon turns to him, "Tikal?"

"I might have some potions at my residence that can thin away the venom in the bloodstream." he replied.

"Tell me you're joking!" Brian blinked.

"With you lot screaming at that dragon, you wouldn't give me the chance to speak, and I forgot about it until now!"

"Well, 'might have some' isn't going to help us anyway!" said Zali, "Either you have some or you don't, so think about it and tell me which is it!"

"Crystal?" I said, turning to Ganondorf2, "I'm so sorry, I forgot all about that!"

"That I can forgive," I said then to Tikal, "Before Kain came to our side, he sent spikes at us and one got in my back. The poison side was removed by big guy, but some of it is still in me and I can't change forms with it as it effects dragons or non humans."

"How are you by the way," Athena asked.

"I'm fine right now, but boy that event was cutting it close..."

[Shadow Dragon]

"I'm glad you're OK, too," I said to her.

"So what do we do, your highness?" asked Luke, "Wait for hothead to come back, or drag Haku to your friend's place and get the mushrooms?"

"Either way, the longer we wait, the less chance he'll survive," agreed Zali.

Blood begins leaking from the river dragon's mouth before he awakens and starts coughing up said blood on the ground. Rolling on his side, he tries to cough up more blood before he began to choke on the liquid. That's when Tikal rushes in and tries to pry open Haku's snout, and jam his arm all the way down his throat to try and clear his airways. Haku coughs out blood before Tikal takes his arm back, coated in said blood, before Haku lets out another cough, forming a large blood puddle.

The river dragon's head slammed back down on the ground, more fresh blood leaking from his mouth. His airway was cleared as he gasps heavily, but the battle for survival remained. His mind drifted back into darkness. A darkness caused by internal bleeding caused by swallowing a cursed charm. No, wait, there was no charm involved this time, just poison from a vampire. Either way, Haku was experiencing severe De Ja Vu right now with his predicament.
