"I admit, that's a good look for you, though," Zali smirked, "maybe enough to make that clan quiver."

"Yeah, I doubt it," said Tristan.

"And do not dare touch him," Gangrel said walking over to his father.

"What do you mean?" he asked.

"You won't hurt us, but the enemy will feel it if you make any weapon from your hands or your fists. Any blow from you will destroy their health...and I mean destroy it. It won't come back. Just like the Demon King of old."

"Now you tell me...I'm a clone of a Demon King...wonderful."

"You can change farther back at least. You just need to focus a little longer."

"Fair enough. I need to calm myself anyway," he said and sat on the ground before crossing his legs and closing his eyes.

"That's terrifying," quivered Tristan, "you mean even with medical treatment?"

"Then be sure and only use it on our enemies," Zali said, "they'll deserve it anyway!"

"Harsh, but with the way things have been going with the clan, maybe so," Ed agreed.

"Even medical care," he said, "As I said, it only works on our foe."

"Not helping..." Ganondorf said, trying to focus, now dark eyes slightly open.

I notice the biggest change. The gem on the clone's headdress was much different. I'll ask about this later.

"Good," Tristan said.

Brandon looked over at Ganondorf with curiosity before turning his attention to the rest of us, "Why don't we take this chance to rest up?"

"Yeah, we're going to need it now that we know what the enemy is capiple of," replied Ed.

"More or less," Zali huffed, "I still believe that clan is all talk."

"Might be best. Let's leave him be anyway. Hard to focus I bet," I tease.

"Unless you want to fight our foes again..." Nova said with a smirk.

"I get the hint."

"Yeah, OK," waved Zelos, "we'll leave you alone in that case."

Brandon smiled.

"Curses!!"

A large chunk of stone was tossed aside as the draconic vampire stormed his way through the rubble of what was left of the fortress. He and a few of his men had barely survived the collapse of the stronghold.

"The fortress is gone," spoke one of the surviving knights.

"And so is half the clan," another looked around to see several bodies of his brethren of both dragon and dragon who had taken human form.

"The great dragon is missing, too, Lord Archion," said another knight.

"I'm well aware," Archion hissed at them, "just let him be to lick his wounds." He then left with a huff, ignoring the rest of the surviving clansmen as they dug out the bodies of those that perished in the collapse to throw in the sea. The leader maneuvered his way through the debris of the fortress. "Curse that man!" Archion hissed, unable to get Nova's words out of his head.

They left because of you! Your lust for revenge has blinded you!

"Everything I did was for the clan!" he repeated his own words, "Vincet, Bellona, Athena...they left on their own accord!! Blinded from vengeance What a load of-"

"I told you, Archion..."

Archion turns to the source of the voice, "Zagan," He watches as his uncle-in-law approaches him and stops.

"Don't let your bloodlust for vengeance cloud your judgement, or you'll surely fall before you begin," Zagan reminded him, "you let it happen anyway, and now look around you."

"Tch," Archion kicked a piece of rubble out of his way.

"It's any wonder why we're losing members of our clan to the enemy and having them betray us. And it's quite obvious that not even The Great Dragon of Legend wants any part of this catastrophic failure, seeing that he's abandoned us. So does that not tell you anything at all, Lord Archion?!" He watches Archion take a chunk of the fortress, having a splatter of blood on it.

"Curse it! After we lay the bodies to rest, let's reform our clan and move out!" Archion then takes the time to look around at the debris of the fortress again, as well as the dead clansmen, "I don't know how, and I don't know why yet...but somehow, I have a feeling we're being played..."

"You didn't listen to a word I said, did you?"

"Hm?" Amalyth, with Aurora, walks into the men's view, "That Nova guy has really gotten your blood boiling, hasn't he? Don't concern yourself with him."

"Not just him..." Archion confirmed, "I thought that by having the Great Dragon of Legend on our side, we'd be unstoppable, and yet-" Archion clinches his fists, "-even he didn't even give it his all! I can tell from the way he fought the scarred one and his allies!"

"So then what are you saying?"

"Zagan, Amalyth, locate Tikal and bring him back to our castle! I will meet you there soon. Our deal is far from finished and I'm sure he knows that!"

"Understood," they both said.

As they left to locate the legendary, Archion watches as the surviving clan members tended to the injured and bury the dead. Nova's words began to buzz around the leader's head like an angry swarm of bees.

"Then why do you not go and take your two dragons back from me? Hmm? They are living life with me much better than you."

"I am in no control of who stays and who leaves," Archion hissed to himself, "but to betray the clan by siding with one that destroyed half of our own...I will not let stand! Vincet, Athena, Bellona...I will personally deal with you trio of traitors myself, after I deal with Nova and His Highness! Make a fool out of me, will you?"

Archion then left to help with the injured.

Nova sensed the rage and smirked a bit, as he sat, but he also felt dread for Tikal when he heard the voice in his mind again, "Do not fear. If anything occurred to your friend, I will help you."

"Who are you?" he said to himself, knowing no one is around.

"I will appear in time. I'm closer than you think."

This made Ganondorf's eyes snap open and change to look more human now from the surprise and quickly got to his feet, looking around. He looked at himself next and said, "A samurai look? I'll buy that for a dollar."



He started to walk back and thought, "Though, going almost barefoot will take some getting used to...and my many scars showing. Oh well."

Meanwhile, the rest of us wait it out in the main room, sitting in whatever furniture was available. Exhaustion didn't begin to describe how the gang was feeling at the very moment, let alone their worry being on their fellow female member and her injuries, despite them being injured themselves from earlier.

"OK," sighed Tristan, "now I know those fiends aren't just all talk."

"I don't know," huffed Phil, "they seem to have quite a mouth on them."

"That doesn't mean anything," Ed told them, "that clan was more prepared than it looked. They knew we were coming to their stronghold. I mean, the amount of enemies there should've made it obvious."

"I wish you would quit stating the obvious," Zali told him, leaning back in a chair he sat in, "in any case, what are you going to do about them now?"

"So far rest at least," I said, "If I know Nova, that was nothing but a drop in the bucket when it comes to trouble. We did a lot of damage and if it was to make them think harder, fair enough for us."

I heard a knock and said, walking off "Excuse me."

"I completely agree to that," I told Ganondorf2 before my attention was turned to the sound of knocking.

"Wonder who that could be," Brandon said.

"Hopefully an ally," Zelos said, making Sparky nod in agreement.

Once I open it, I said, "Big Guy?!"

"Yeah, it's me. I hope the look doesn't turn you off...with my scars and all..." he said.

"Sophia might get turned on," I said laughing, "You're fine."

"Dad, you look awesome!" Gangrel said.

The gang, seeing that it was Ganondorf, relax a little before noticing his new look.

"Whoa, what's with the get-up?" asked Phil.

"Looking good, G!" Luke commented.

"I'll say," I looked up and down at Ganondorf.

"Did something happen?" Brandon asked him.

"Well, one thing...I think it's how the demon king looks...without the 'demon' look," he said, "Also, I heard that voice again and it surprised me enough to change to this," he said.

"The same one that changed you into the dragon?" I asked.

"The same...what gets me...it spoke that's nearby and would show up in time," he continued, crossing his arms, "I have a feeling I know where."

"That's creepy," blinked Kyle.

"Seeing that it turned you into that without problem," said Zali, "I take it must be on our side, then. That's good."

"Maybe so, but I wonder what it is," he said.

"I wonder about something else. That gem on your headdress," I said, pointing it out, "It's different."

He looks up and tries to remove the headdress to see it...only to have a hard time doing so, having him say, "Are you joking right now? It's stuck!"

"Dad, leave it alone. There's no actual name but it's just called the Secret Stone," Gangrel said making the clone stop, "Depending on the person, it will stay at a spot that's the strongest."

"My mind? Smart of it but it doesn't help with getting it off..."

"Then maybe taking it off isn't such a good idea right now," assumed Zali.

"Aside from changing his look-" Ed spoke, "we don't even know what that thing is or what it'll do to him. Are you sure it's a good idea to leave it like that?"

"I think it'll be fine," said Haku, "I have a feeling that stone will help us in the future."

I sigh, "I hope you're right about that, Haku."

"He is right," Gangrel said, "The stone is said to amplify the person's overall if not core strength...however, not only is the stone extremely rare, but can only be found in Hyrule."

"I get it. The Demon King became that way of the stone's power. Course his evil heart changed him...no surprise," Ganondorf sighed, "I still question why I'm a clone of him..."

"He made gloom appear to make weapons rust...but not ours," he continued.

"I know why," the clone said with a smirk.

"Hyrule?" Zali questioned, "Where's that?"

"Too far from here," I reply.

"Well, that sounds useful to use against the clan," smirked Luke.

"Yeah, I'm not sure about that." replied Ed.

"I think the monsters that appeared are proof enough," I said watching that Nova was looking at his hands before snapping his fingers and changing into his old look (Smash Ultimate), "Why did you change back?'

"Sorry. Even though it looks cool, the long hair can be used as a weapon against you," he said.

"True there...the stone didn't change though."

"Does anyone have a mirror so I can look?"

"Not unless you know how to watch your back," Zelos chimed in with what Nova had said.

"Uh, no," Phil told Nova.

"Who carries a mirror around with them anyway?" questioned Ed.

"You mean besides women and vain men?" Brian replied.

A bright blue light surrounds Haku's right hand before he waves it, making a reflective screen of water appear in front of Nova, smiling, "There you go. How's this?"

"Hey, I was only kidding!" Brian cried out.

"Wow," Sparky blinked, "that's pretty impressive!"

Nova laughs a little at that before thanking and looking at the reflection and says, "Huh...it looks like a dragon's tear. If not half of the yin-yang(if I got that right) symbol."

I thought about it and said, "It does look like both."

"Does that mean the crazy man ate the thing?!" Nova just thought, seeing something in his mind aloud, "At least I don't have to. I wonder if that makes me a legendary dragon too then?"

"Like you aren't legendary for being termed the 'ultimate life form' back home," I tease.

Maxwell just rolled his eyes at this.

"Dragon's Tear?" questioned Brandon, "What do you mean?"

I laugh at what was being said, while remaining interested in the artifact as well. After calming, I spoke, "So, what happens if you consume it?"

"Yeah, that thing doesn't look tasty to me," replied Brian.

"You become an immortal dragon...but with a cost. You will lose all sense of self," Gangrel said, "I can tell you sensed that."

"That I did," Nova said, "I have a feeling it won't work on me. That new dragon form is the result of eating it, but I didn't do that."

"You went backward then," I said.

Ganondorf thought about it and said, "I guess so."

"If it's that strong, why didn't this demon king win then?" Maxwell asked.

"From records, he was wounded and became desperate for more power," the son said.

"That sounds like him..." Nova said.

"Heh, good thing we're already dragons, right?" Zali turned to the rest of us.

"Although..." Kyle glanced at Sparky, who quickly shook his head.

"Hell no!" he replied, "No offense, but if I had to choose between being myself, and a dragon with no self-awareness, I'll settle for being myself, thank you!"

"Don't even think about looking at me, either," Zelos turned away.

"Heh, yeah, humans like you wouldn't last three minutes in our shoes." Kyle teased.

"Seriously man," Sparky huffed.

"All right, can it, you two!" Zali warned.

"Too much power can be a curse, too," Brandon replied, "it all depends on how you use it."

"I should know," Ganondorf said looking away, "I fake out people to make foes back off but in reality, I don't want to go crazy with my strength. I know what I can do, and...I held back that when we had to deal with Archion. I would do more damage than help..."

"As you taught me," Broly said.

"As long as that damage is to our enemies, I'm willing to let it slide," spoke Ed with a smile.

"Just be careful," Zali stood up for now.

"I am very," he said, before looking at his hands, the back of them, again, "I guess that's relic number three for me."

"Oh right...you have two other things as well," Link said, "The Triforce of Power and the Cruxis Crystal."

"The crystal I have no control of..."

"Any luck how?" I ask.

"Sadly no."

"Aren't you a lucky duck?" Zali teased, "All those relics you have?"

"Jealous?" Ed asked him.

"Please..."

{I'm out. I wasn't paying attention tonight. I'll see you later.}

{Later. I'm out too}

"Don't be. There's a curse to that too...with everything else in my body, I'm surprised I don't look like a mess," Nova said, "I'd show you an example with my left arm, but I don't want to give you nightmares."

"Yeah, best you don't to the new comers," Bowser said, "Also, did you forget that heart of yours?"

Nova snapped out of it and said, "That I did. Easy to pass by too."
