"Normally I tag team with Ganondorf, but I think it's best he take a break and watch anyone that tries to break the rules," I said.

"But of course," he said, backing off.

Maxwell sports a smirk and stays back himself as I take out my large sword, it's eye opening.

[Shadow Dragon]

Swiping her lips with her tounge, she smirks as she prepares her weapon.

After a while of cat and mouse, Tikal could tell the dragons were visibly getting exhausted. He looks back at the fortress. Hopefully the others had reached where they were meant to go by now. His heart jumped as he sees a blast of green fire shoot past him. Tikal turns to see a red and black dragon fly in, shooting green fire at the gang members, who managed to dodge.

"Hey, what gives?!" Phil hissed.

"Smelt blood, did you, Aurora?" Tikal questioned the dragon, not expecting an answer as he remembered that Aurora didn't have the intelligence the other dragons did.

"Aurora?" Zali asked. The dragon hisses and charges in at the group, snagging Kyle's neck and sending him into the ocean. "Oh no you don't!" Zali dives into the water now to help his gang mate.

"You play dirty for a legendary!" Brian roared at Tikal, charging after him now.

"She came here on her own accord!" Tikal tries to convince, then the two headbutt one another, making Brian fly back with a headache. Tikal felt the attack, too, but didn't make it as obvious.

I tighten my grip as I studied the area, and my opponent, Nova watching me as well as focusing on the energy of everything around the area. He wants to sense if Tikal and Brian aren't doing anything too careless as this fight might go bad if they became aware.

[Shadow Dragon]

"Well, it's eight against two!" Luke roars out to Tikal and Aurora, "I don't care how big you are, size never wins against numbers!"

"Big words for a puny dragon," Tikal mocked, then shot a blast of fire at Luke, making him dodge. Of course, Tikal wasn't intending to harm anyone, but keep them busy long enough for those inside the fortress to do what was needed. That is, until he sees more creatures with the blade tails fly toward everyone.

"For crying out loud!" Phil moaned.

"Dammit!" Tikal then charges in and snags Samantha by the back of her neck and flies off.

"No!" shouted Brian.

"Get the hell back here!!" Tristan flies after Tikal, and Aurora trails behind everyone.

Tikal continued to fly off as fast as he could, hoping to lose the creatures and hoping the gang were right behind him. They have to be if they wanted to save their comrade, right?

"Let me go!!" screamed Samantha, but was ignored.

The rest of us stood back as we watch what was about to happen. Amalyth waits to see what was going to happen as well.

"Pay attention!" I said as I charge at Amalyth.

Ganondorf was on standby and was blocking his thoughts. Meditating as he did.

[Shadow Dragon]

Once he felt like he got far enough from the creatures, Tikal releases Samantha, only for the female dragon to whip her claws out and deliver an attack to Tikal's cheek. Three bloody slash marks were seen on his face. Tikal growls in response, but it's not like he didn't deserve it. Oh well, at least he was able to lose the creatures. Tikal then bolts off again in an attempt to keep stalling everyone, until he sees Zagan fly in on Aurora's back, halting his escape.

"I thought I might find you here," he told Tikal and the others.

"Don't interfere," Tikal barked back, "these dragons are my prey!"

In response to that, Amalyth creates an electrical charge around the battlefield, and shoots the electricity toward Ganondorf2.

"Remember what I taught you," Ganondorf said, "Focus."

"Understood," I said, "Nulifiy and Reflect!"

I cause an effect that dumbed down the static around everyone except the enemy and the bolt bounces back at Amalyth, doubling the power.

[Shadow Dragon]

"Au contraire," Zagan replied to Tikal, "our clan sticks together much like those idiots we're facing. Now then, we have a job to do, and I'm here to make sure it's done! While you were busy with those dragons, the fortress was infiltrated!"

"That so?" Tikal questioned.

"I shouldn't even have to tell you to never take your eyes off the enemy!"

Meanwhile, the draconic gang fly in and surround Tikal, Zagan, and Aurora. Haku bares his teeth at them.

"It doesn't matter how many clan members you have!" Phil spat, "We can take anything you throw at us!"

Amalyth takes the hit, screaming in pain as she did. As the bolt dies down, she falls to one knee, using her weapon in an attempt to pull herself up.

I stop in my tracks and asked Nova, "What should I do next?"

He walks over and said, "Her scream is enough to satisfy me. It's sad, however. You'd think you could tolerate your own attack or at least be immune to it."

[Shadow Dragon]

She hisses in response, before seeing a figure walk out from the shadows.

"Well played," the man spoke, revealing to be Archion, "I figured you all would show here eventually."

"Where the hell have YOU been?" asked Zelos, glaring at the draconic vampire.

"Enjoying the show, from a distance," he replies, "you all are quite the rude bunch; coming here to our base without so much as an invitation."

"Enough," Brandon commanded, "you know why we're here!"

"Oh? Please enlighten me, prince."

"You can blame me. I just love a challenge," Ganondorf said as I walked back, "I heard you handle a lot of stuff and that's an invitation in my book."

"He's not joking," I said, "He's always looking for something to push his limits. Hasn't found one yet."

"This is also good timing. I hope he can handle the next part that's coming," Nova blocked his thoughts.

[Shadow Dragon]

Zali flies in and tackles Aurora, sending her and himself into the ocean. Moments later, he shoots out of the ocean after losing sight of Aurora, then looks to see her fly out as well, suspending herself in the air, along with Zagan and Tikal.

"Great, him again," he thought about Zagan.

"Really now?" Archion questioned Ganondorf, "You don't look the type, but I'll go ahead and humor you."

"They're no slouches, I'll give them that," Amalyth admitted, "but this makes it all the more interesting."

"Get out!!" we then hear Tikal's voice as we see him rush in and began circling the castle, before flying away from it, suspending himself in the air and staring down at it.

It took Brandon a moment to sense that Tikal's words were actually a plea, disguised as a threat to the ears of the clansmen. Clearly he didn't want us involved and was trying to spare us from fighting him as well as the clan themselves, which was odd considering that he previously said 'don't hold back on him', which made Brandon think that maybe...the pseudo dragon's power was starting to wane, which would mean trouble from the clan! The prince was about to respond to him, but was beaten to the punch.

"Now now," Archion spoke, a pair of draconic wings sprouted from his back, "they've come all this way to pay a visit, yes? So why don't you make your guests feel right at home?"

"With pleasure," Amalyth smirks.

A hiss escapes Haku's throat as he glares at Tikal, before he darts out a windowless hole from the fortress. Tikal responds by slamming his tail into Haku, causing him to slam into the ocean. The hit wasn't hard enough to break any bones, but Tikal wouldn't be surprised if the river spirit was left with a bruise after this was over. Zali then bursts from the water, with Haku in his front talons, rescuing him.

"My lord, don't strain yourself!" I said to Ganondorf.

"Don't worry about me. All I can't say is make it fair. Tikal should stay out of this and Haku will as well. You don't want to see me when that deal isn't met."

This is a hint to Tikal that he can help last longer. The clone has a way of healing a person even if it looks like an attack.

[Shadow Dragon]

{Yeah, I sort of rushed these parts anyway myself. Sorry about that.}

"So, you are serious about being against us," Archion shook his head, "well, no matter. I enjoy a challenge as well," he takes out his sword, "if you are as strong as you claim, let's see you prove it."

Amalyth stood beside Archion with her weapon in hand as well.

"Pairing up, are you?" asked Zelos, also stepping forward with his sword in hand, "That hardly seems fair."

"I agree," I stepped in, sword in hand.

"Are you serious right now?" Sparky questioned us.

"Don't interfere," said Zelos to Sparky.

"What was that?!"

Before Zelos could reply to him, Amalyth charges in and clashes her weapon against my sword.

Ganondorf sighed and said to Shadow, "Get back here! They want to see my might. Stand down! I can handle two!"

Broly stood back as well, slowly shaking his head to all this.

"Don't you start," he said.

"It's not that I assure you. Then again, picking people off, one by one is a sign of weakness, doesn't you think?" the saiyan asked.

[The Melee Master]

"You heard him!" Melee Master, who remained on the sidelines, told Shadow and Zelos.

[Shadow Dragon]

"Weakness?" Archion spat.

"Don't spew words you can't uphold," Brandon warned as he stepped up, grabbing my shoulder and gently pulling me back. I took the hint and backed off as Brandon continued, "it's me you're after, right Archion? Amalyth? Then I'll take you both on!"

"No need to be greedy," Zagan spoke, hearing Brandon and still on Aurora's back, then directed to the group he was facing, "anyone who wants to be maimed, just step on up and I'll be happy to oblige!"

"You talk too d*mn much!" Tristan charges in now, slamming his headhorns into Aurora's side, hoping to make her rider fall off, but Zagan held on tightly.

Aurora shot a blast of green fire at Tristan for that move, catching his wing but manages to snuff it out quickly.

"Hey!" Zali's voice was heard as he flies in front of a hole in the wall, "You all take care of those fools! We'll handle those on the outside!"

A blast of black fire was shot, making Zali fly out of it's way as Tikal was seen chasing him, followed by Haku.

Brandon nods, "The longer they stall each other, the better," then to Archion, "and as for you..."

A red aura surrounds Archion in preparation for a battle as he eyes Brandon as well as Nova.

Two large swords appear in Ganondorf's hands, both meant to be held with two hands, showing he has the strength to handle both of them in each. He spun them once as he got ready.

Something else was watching the clone, but wasn't going to act. Not yet it seems.

[Shadow Dragon]

"Don't speak words you can't uphold," Zagan told Phil, shooting another bolt of electric, only for Tristan to fly in and take the hit for his gang mate.

Phil and the others watch as the electric dies down from Tristan's body, and he struggles to lift his head, "No...sweat!"

"Playtime is over!" Zagan charges and releases another bolt of lightning at the gang, but missed.

"Uh-oh," Ed realized, "this fool actually means it now!"

"Then let's teach him a lesson he'll never forget!" Phil replies.

"I ain't even joking, man!" Ed clarified as he bolts off in flight.

Aurora and Zagan chased after Ed and Phil, while Tikal took off after Zali and Haku again. Meanwhile, Archion and Amalyth readied their weapons and stared down Nova and the others.

Ganondorf was about to charge when a voice boomed, "Halt!"

This made us look around in confusion and the clone asked, "Why do you stop me?"

"It's quite clear your foes don't sense your true power. Then again, it needs to wake up fully and it just needs a push," the voice continued.

"Oh? You got my attention, though it's hard for me to believe you on this power you speak."

[Shadow Dragon]

"True power, huh?" Amalyth chimed in with curiosity, "Now you got my attention."

"It could be a trick," Archion told her.

"You'll see," I bit back.

"Amuse me, stranger," Ganondorf said.

"This might hurt a bit," the voice said.

The sound of thunder was heard before a bolt of red lightning was sent down, destroying the roof of the base and hitting Nova hard, making him go to his knees for a moment before he started to laugh and get to his feet once again, a red and black mist appearing around him.

[Shadow Dragon]

Archion smirks at this, "Interesting. Is that the full extent of your power?"

Haku rushes in and bit down on Tikal's throat, but due to his size, Haku wasn't able to cause damage to Tikal. In turn, the larger beast grabs Haku by the back of the neck, tears him off himself, and throws him toward Tristan and Ed. Haku took the hint, however, and sneakily turns direction to the opposing knights on the ground, who were caught off guard as they saw a white dragon heading toward them, and struck down by that same dragon, making it appear as if Tikal had missed his target.

"Learn to aim!" Tristan taunted, shooting a blast of fire at Tikal that hit him in the chest, but brushed it off. Tristan then watches as Zagan prepares another lightning strike as green fire blazes around Aurora's mouth.

Darkness covers the clone's right hand now and says, "Not even close...behold!"

He thrusts it into the air and a pillar of red and black energy was sent into the sky. The sky turned red in seconds and dark comets appeared and fell everywhere. Once they hit the ground, they form into monsters of many kinds. A giant blood-red moon appeared in the distance for all to see. He lowered his arm once again before focusing hard as a blast of red energy hid him until purple smoke appeared in his place, with two glowing giant eyes staring down Archion.

The draconic gang cease their attacks after seeing the red and black pillar. Tikal watches this with interest, sensing that it was Nova's doing and wondering what he was up to.

"Uh, guys!" Ed warned, looking into the sky to see the comets coming down.

"Move!" Zali bolted off to dodge the attacks. As he and the gang fly off in different directions to avoid them, the enemies that were on the ground noticed monsters forming from where the comets had struck.

Zagan grits his teeth as he watches this happening from around him.

Some monsters can fly too and a swarm heads for our foes that were after our teams.

The whole roof started to collapse as the eyes flew upward and we soon saw it form into a massive dragon, head only slightly bigger than Maxwell's in dragon form but much longer as well.



"Whoa...I can't...no I don't want to even get close!" I said.

Broly noticed many weapons started to rust and said, "This also changes things."

[Shadow Dragon]

Haku hurriedly flies off the ground as the knights on said ground stood up and try to spear the river dragon, only to miss their target. As they prepare more weapons, they start to notice them rusting right in their hands. The ones that were after everyone else were blindsided by the monsters.

"What the hell is going on?!" Archion shouts at his knights, "Hurry and destroy them!"

"But sire-" one spoke out, only to be taken out by Aurora and Zagan crashing through the fortress wall thanks to the gang.

"Zagan?!" Archion turns to him.

The winged man stood with no problem, along with Aurora, who shook the dust and debris off herself. Another part of the wall collapses in, and as the dust settles, we see Haku lying on the ground, bruised and battered from fighting with Tikal, but still breathing. The attacks they unleashed on each other weren't enough to cause serious injury, but enough to make it look like they were trying to kill each other in the eyes of the clan. Tikal moves in and peeks inside the hole in the fortress, growling.

"All right!" enraged, Zali completely forgot the fight was a façade, "You've officially gotten on my last nerve!"

"Zali, what are you doing?!" Phil shouts.

Zali ignores his gang mate and rushes in, biting the back of Tikal's neck.

"Nuisance!" was all Tikal had to say before taking off, but Zali held on with all his might.

Tikal growls at this. Great, a raged engulfed dragon. This wasn't what he was going for! Oh well. Play along for now. Maybe he'll tire out before long...right?

Meanwhile, Haku stands on all fours and shakes off what happened to him.

[The Melee Master]

Melee tries to see what was going on after fighting off the clansmen that attacked her as well.

Ganondorf laughs into the sky and said, to egg the dragon's on, "What's wrong, Archion? Amalyth? If you wish to retreat, do ahead. It is not cowardly if you need time to think and plan. At least I protect my own and not backstab them."

I worry about this, but I knew he was planning something like this anyway.

[Shadow Dragon]

"Backstab?!" Archion hissed, "How dare you! Everything I do is for the clan alone! Don't you dare talk as if you know them more than I, you filthy cur!" A red aura surrounds the vamparic dragon before he turns to energy and bolts out the hole in the wall.

"Oh boy," Sparky backed away.

The aura then turns into a red dragon, keeping himself in flight with his wings.

"Now you will feel the wrath of our clan!!" he roars out.



Meanwhile, Tikal continues to evade Zali as much as he possibly could, not wanting to attack him until absolutely necessary.
