Sadly yes. And just a heads up, I changed Roy's look a little to match his Melee look...though I already told you. I was going to wait until I finished the story before I updated, but it's long due already, dang it!
Chapter 13
Sheik was still in pursuit of finding the assassin, and that brought him deep in the underground of the deserted Mushroom Kingdom.
"A person of your kind would be wise to hide in a place like this," he said, "I know. I was one of them. Now where are you?"
He looked around carefully as the fire torches guided his path. If it wasn't for them, he would be left helpless in the dark. A brick pillar stood in his way, and he saw that the only way through was to crawl underneath it. Sheik bent down as best as he could and inched his way forward.
Unknown to him, his opponent was already watching him from the shadows, waiting for the right moment to strike. After Sheik managed to get out from the narrow area, three poison needles stabbed into the ground. Luckily, he was unharmed.
Before Sheik could react, his opponent leaped from one of the pillars, poison needles in hand.
The guardian of the Royal Family kicked upwards, striking the assassin and causing the needles to spread out onto the ground without harm to either. Thank goodness Shiek was trained to have quick reflexes at unexpected times.
"Your reflexes are just as I expected," the mystery man said, "but your downfall will be certain if you don't hand over the princess."
"Princess Zelda is no longer with me," Sheik said, then he hissed, "but if you want her," he swiped his hand, "you'll have to go through me!"
"Capturing the princess and causing your demise; I'll kill two birds with one stone."
Sheik jumped on one of the suspending set of bricks and shouted, "I'd like to see you try!"
The struggle between ninja warriors began. The assassin leaped at Sheik and sharp needles were revealed between his fingers. They were the same paralyzing weapons that he had used on Zelda. Knowing this, Sheik back-flipped just as the weapons were thrown. They missed their target and stabbed into the ground.
The assassin jumped back toward a suspending set of bricks, and using his feet to propel himself, he took a dive at Sheik, punching his jaw and then using his hands as springs to kick him away. He jumped back on the bricks and looked down at him...
...but Sheik had vanished. He reappeared behind his rival and kicked him in the back, causing him to fall off the ledge. Sheik swiped his arm with glory.
After shaking off his stun, the assassin stood up but didn't speak. Sheik jumped back down to ground level.
"Your good, I admit," the assassin said, "we may have the same fighting style, but my weapons are more advanced."
He made a leap at Sheik and took out his knife, tackling him to the ground. With Sheik in a headlock, the assassin placed the knife by this throat, regardless of the collar.
"I will not give in until I get what I want,"
"And I won't give in until your dealt with!" Sheik said as he managed to throw his enemy aside. They both exchanged punches for a while until Sheik broke away.
That gave the opponent the opportunity to jump back, preparing to launch another set of poison needles. Sheik, on the other hand, leaped at him and tried to swipe his arm at his face, only for the assassin to dodge.
"Bad move," he said as his feet touched suspended brick.
Sheik also managed to land on the same stretch.
"This is getting old," he continued, "time to end this right here, right now."
Desperate, Sheik swung a punch, only for it to be dodged. The assassin managed to kick him straight in the forehead, causing him to loose his balance and fall off the bricks.
Sheik hit the ground, head-first, and didn't move after that. His opponent looked down to make sure no strings were pulled. Now that he knew Sheik was rendered unconscious, the bloodlust assassin jumped down and pulled a knife from his sheath hanging on the back of his hip. He inched toward Sheik, then after getting close, he flipped him over. Again, no response.
"Now then," the assassin said, pointing the dagger right at Sheik's heart.
The dagger was raised, about to do it's job. Obviously, the assassin wasn't above murder, for his name-sake. Sheik gained consciousness and opened his eyes. He only had a few seconds to make his move before the assassin was able to make his, but a cold realization sunk in.
"My body's not responding!" he thought.
