They flew straight at Vaati.

He takes the hits, but was only getting mad to which he sent a massive hurricane, thunder crashing from within.

Vaati starts to laugh at him when he was hit in the eye, by one of the tridents, making him scream in pain.
"Nice aim Red," Ganondorf said angry at Vaati.
