The book seemed angry at that, and focused its mind on Ash.
Ash started to scream as he clutched his left hand, just as the veins in it turned black and the skin pale.

The trident glows at this point and stops the attack from spreading farther, then tries to heal the hand.

However, the hand tried to make a grab for the trident, but Ash managed to get his hand down by placing it under his foot.
"Ganondorf....theres a tool in the garage out back that can fix this problem...it should be on the table in the garage. Hurry!"Ash said

As he got back, Ash frantically tried to fight the hand from getting out from underneath his foot.

He started it up by pulling the cord with his teeth.
"Let's see how you like this f***er! AHHAAHAHA!!"he shouted, starting to laugh away like a crazy man
He continued to laugh, which mixed with screaming as the chainsaw touched his wrist and began to slice through

Only to see that the hand was Ash's severed hand, as it landed on the floor and scittered away.
Ash slowly got up, and began to bandage up his arm with supplies from a nearby first aid kit

Ash was about to ask who Ganondorf meant, when a loud scream was heard from a female voice.
"LINDA!!"Ash shouted, and took off after handing the chainsaw to Ganondorf and grabbing his shotgun

When they got there, the hand was headed after Dev and Linda.
Dev opened fire on the hand, only to see it dodge each shot
The hand scittered off, and leaped through a nearby window
